Dante picks up the second book preparing to open it. However, he stops himself and feels hesitant, if this book was another that will play with his mind, he wouldn't know how to handle it.
Daniel chuckles slightly at Dante's caution, and Dante glares at him not pleased with his laughter.
"My apologies I truly did not me to laugh just finding this extremely amusing." Daniel says while holding his hands up in mock surrender. Dante narrows his eyes once again then says "How about I hit you with this fucking book and see if you still find it amusing"
Daniel laughs louder holding his stomach, once he settles down, he leans back in the chair looking at Dante with a challenging look. "You can try but you won't have any luck dear."
Dante reaches to throw the book however the second his hand makes contact with it a playing card does the same, the card then turns into demands keeping his hand in place.
'What the hell is happening?' Dante thinks to himself staring down at the crystals keeping his hand stuck to the book, he desperately tries to free his hand, but his efforts turn futile against the ice.
Daniel watches his struggle with interest as if waiting for something to happen momentarily, Daniel leans forward watching intently as Dante continues pulling his arm hard trying to get it out of the crystals.
'Damn it why can't I get my hand out of these stupid fucking crystals.' Dante thinks to himself, then he starts to get more frustrated and angry, and he begins to feel a slight tingle in his hand which then intensifies he opens his eyes and sees his hand completely black his once pale hand now covered with some sort of shadow.
Daniel glares with knowing interest and amusement. Suddenly the shadow spreads out shattering the crystals that once entrapped his hand. Dante finally being able to pull his hand away does so and backs away from the book and broken crystals.
"So, you finally pulled it off Dante." Daniel stands up and walks around the table to Dante, Dante then backs away from Daniel the little bit of trust he had now gone. "What the hell stay away from me you dammed bastard!"
Dante shouts at Daniel backing away as far as he can before hitting a book shelf, Daniel smiles now excited "Do not worry Dante it was merely a test now that we have confirmed your abilities we can finally procced with your training honest this time."
Dante stares at Daniel with anger prepared to yell at him however before he does so the Library door opens and Jonathan pier walks in with a thoughtful expression his eyes observing Dante and Daniel "Dante please calm down this was only a test to see if your capability with your blessing you can calm down"
Dante calms down subtly still wary of Daniel "What kind of test is this and why the fuck can did my hand do that?!" Jonathan sighs deeply then approaches the table grabbing the book and putting it on it's shelf.
Jonathan then turns to Dante and says "Dante now it's time to start your lessons they will not be easy but... you can get it done under our guidance so do not worry about falling behind." Dante feels oddly moved by his words.
Dante thinks not sure if to trust them, 'What should I do just as i trusted them they did a secret test on me, but they seem to be the only ones who knows what's going on here.' He then decides.
"Okay I will trust you but if you try something like this again I'm gone and not coming back do you understand." Jonathan nods respecting Dante's decision however Daniel on the other hand holds a mischievous smile.
Jonathan glares at Daniel warning him to stop the theatrics "Fine I promise no more games I'll take things seriously from here on out I promise" Daniel says with his hands raised in surrender however the expression on his face says otherwise.
Jonathan sighs again turning the Dante once more. "Dante come we will teach you about sorcery, Virtues, Sins, and Blessing along with helping you to control the power that resides within you and possibly push it further past it's limits."
Dante feels a strange warmth in his heart moved once again by Jonathan's words. "Okay let's go then I'm ready to learn." Jonathan smiles and leads Dante and Daniel out of the Library. Dante mentally prepares himself for what's to come.
