Meditat watches in surprise, as his plasma orb slowly seems to become smaller, and the arcs coming off of the Exhuman get larger, as if absorbing the energy.
The Exhuman screams in pain, as the plasma orb was strangely painful to absorb, however he still manages.
The orb completely vanishes, as the attack fails. Meditat staggers back, and watches as the man looks back at him, now containing the power of the plasma orb. Meditat leaps backwards, and he boosts away, trying to get out of the tight aisle, as he realizes he was an easy target.
The man aims his hands at Meditat, and all the electric arcs coming off his body fly towards Meditat, as though the man was directing it with his mind. There were twenty arcs, all being shot at Meditat, thicker than usual due to the power they received from the orb.
As Meditat flies past the aisle, he aims his left hand to the side, and pulls himself out of view, miraculously dodging the barrage of electric bolts.
The Exhuman leaps forward, and the electricity around him propels his body down the aisle, following Meditat. The electric arcs coming off his body strike the glass doors in the aisle, shattering them, as he flies to the other side, leaving the aisle.
The man looks around once he leaves the aisle, first looking to his left, trying to find Meditat. He begins turning his head to scan for Meditat, however his path wasn't perfect, as he fails to instantly detect that his target was standing to his right.
Meditat throws a left kick, boosting his leg to bring more power, and he strikes the man in the back. As the Exhuman begins flying forwards, he aims his plasma launcher at him, and pulls him with a tractor beam. As the man flies backwards, Meditat pulls his left arm backwards, and throws a boosted punch at his back again, sending him flying forwards again.
He then pulls his right arm back, charging up another plasma charge, and then fires it, now able to shoot it out of the target's reach.
The plasma charge makes an impact, exploding with a blast that sends the man flying with greater intensity.
The man flies into the center part of the store, which has rows of tables, shelves, and racks of clothing, as it seems the warehouse store sells more than food.
The Exhuman slams into the shelves, which break on impact, and he crashes on a table, causing a pile of shirts to go flying in all directions.
Meditat leaps towards the man, boosting himself in the air, trying to catch up with him. The man notices, and he gets back up to his feet, leaping backwards and getting airborne again. He flies backwards, creating distance between himself at Meditat.
While he had taken some bad hits to begin with, the Exhuman gets into an open space, where he has a clear shot at Meditat. While the plasma launcher was good at closing gaps, it took time to charge, while the man could fire bolts in an instance.
When it comes to long distance combat, the Exhuman still reigned supreme, or at least he believes. He begins throwing his arms at Meditat, commanding more electric arcs to shoot at Meditat. He knew there was a chance Meditat would evade them, but he also knew that if he could keep Meditat from advancing, he'd eventually get struck, just like last time.
Meditat does indeed thrust his back up, avoiding the first barrage of electric bolts, and boosts forward to make up for the lost space. He then strafes diagonally, avoiding another group of bolts, having to move quickly.
The Exhuman rapidly shoots more bolts at him, tries to keep him away, playing loose with the amount of charge he has, since even now he is still full of power.
Meditat aims his hands ahead towards the aisles in the distance, and he pulls himself towards it, moving to the left and avoiding more bolts. However, this time he plans a counter, as he pulls his right arm back, and his gauntlet transforms from the plasma launcher and instead to the arm cannon, with the three vents lightning up upon activation.
Meditat then aims his cannon at the Exhuman, and fires a single blue bolt back, which catches the Exhuman off guard, who only avoids the strike as three electric arcs curve in front of his body, taking the bolt itself, causing the arcs to be vanquished.
Meditat aims his left hand at the ceiling and pulls himself towards it, getting higher up, and aims his right hand at the Exhuman. He then begins firing a continuous barrage of bolts, loaded like a machine gun, trying to overwhelm the enemy.
The Exhuman boosts to the side, trying to avoid the barrage, not expecting so much firepower back. While he had heard of a more rapid cannon, he was still surprised by the speed of the shots, and the accuracy Meditat had.
His great advantage doesn't seem as great anymore, but that said he has to keep trying, he has to hold out longer.
The Exhuman's electric arcs curve back into his gauntlets, giving him better accuracy. He aims his gauntlets at Meditat, and starts firing yellow bolts back, trying to shoot him down.
Meditat detaches from the ceiling and boosts forward, avoiding the yellow bolts, while firing blue bolts of his own at the moving man, both evading and striking at once.
The two seem to engage in a shootout, as they fly around the open region of the warehouse, firing bolts at one another while trying to avoid being hit. Their bolts strike the aisles and tables below, with noticeable collateral, however neither of them had the time to give attention, as the smallest bit of inattentiveness could lead to an easy loss.
Meditat thrusts his chest forward before strafing to the left, avoiding two yellow bolts, and he aims his cannon ahead of the Exhuman rather than straight on. He then fires a burst of three bolts, and while at first they seem to miss, the Exhuman flies straight in front of them, getting himself shot, and he falls to the ground again.
The Exhuman crashes onto the racks of clothing, breaking through them, as his electric arcs fly all over the place chaotically, as he loses control of himself in the tumble.
He smashes through a few tables, groaning in pain, and he hears the hum of Meditat's boosts approaching. Clothing is piled on him, and he puts his hands on the ground, his yellow eyes staring at the ground, knowing he wasn't holding up well.
He pushes himself back onto his feet, and turns around, seeing Meditat fly towards him, pulling his arm back as he seems to ready for a punch with his left hand.
The man, desperate to end the fight quickly, concentrates on all the excess energy he's absorbed, and fires a heavy continuous stream of electricity at Meditat, using far more energy at once than his bolts, however the effect was a far hotter and more powerful beam of energy.
Meditat throws his feet ahead and boosts back, seeing that he is being shot back, and he aims his own arm cannon at the incoming stream. He then fires his own concentrated stream of blue energy, which was also heavily taxing on his stamina, however it was necessary to keep himself safe.
The yellow and blue streams clash, sparking at the center as they collide and reach a standstill, unable to overpower the other. The whole warehouse lights up from the bright bolt streams, as sparks of blue, yellow, and even green energy come out, with the center of the beams becoming incredibly hot.
The Exhuman, enraged at the opposition, roars again before throwing his right arm forwards, and fires a second beam of concentrated energy, trying to overpower Meditat.
However, Meditat quickly transforms his left gauntlet into an arm cannon as well, and fires back a continuous stream of energy to combat the second stream, succeeding at stopping the hot yellow beam from striking him.
The man stays on his ground, yelling in rage as he puts all the excess energy he has into the beams, trying his best to overpower Meditat's cannons.
Meditat also does the same, feeling his body growing more tired the longer he holds the beams, as he was outputting more energy into his weapons system than ever, something that would've quickly cooked his suit if it wasn't for his ventilations.
However, the yellow stream of energy begins to push on the blue, as the Exhuman gambles everything he has to overpower Meditat, while Meditat tries to stay somewhat reserved. The collision sparks move towards Meditat as the man in the purple suit gradually overpowers Meditat's cannons.
Recognizing that Meditat's cannons wouldn't hold up till the end, Meditat takes a bold move, and stops firing his own energy. He then also stops powering his boosts, and lets his body fall straight down, no longer shooting back.
Meditat lands on the ground, as the Exhuman's beams successfully overpower Meditat's, and fire straight into the ceiling, burning a hole straight through and into the night sky outside.
However, while the Exhuman did what he wanted, he failed to strike Meditat, who now stands in front of him. The Exhuman cries out in rage, as he had just expended a huge supply of his energy for nothing, and he aims both of his hands at Meditat, wanting nothing more but to burn him alive.
The Exhuman yells in rage as he fires concentrated streams of yellow electricity at him, putting everything he has left into trying to take down Meditat.
Although, Meditat transforms both of his gauntlets into his armored fists first, and his left hand begins glowing blue right upon transformation. He then holds his hand out, and projects the diamond energy shield, which forms just in time to block the streams of electricity, protecting him.
Meditat's body initially begins sliding backwards from the sheer intensity of the streams, as the Exhuman willingly puts all the power he has into the beams, however Meditat comes to a halt as he boosts himself to stabilize his position.
Meditat closes his right fist, and he stands his ground, feeling the immense energy being projected at him.
While he could block the energy for now, he realizes that he wouldn't be able to shield himself forever, as eventually he'd tire the shield out, and from there he could be vaporized. He was taking a heavy gamble being in the position he was in, but as he stares at the Exhuman, he notices that there are hardly any more bolts sparking off his body, as if he is running out.
If he could hold out for longer, he could potentially drain the Exhuman of his power, and get an easy victory. Meditat secures himself on this plan, and takes a deep breath, knowing it would be a battle of endurance.
As the Exhuman continues pushing all the electricity he has on Meditat, Meditat slowly begins to march towards, shielding himself from the heavy power as he tries to close the gap. The man yells louder in anger, putting all the remainder of his excess energy into his gauntlets, firing all of it to put Meditat down.
However, Meditat continues marching forward, diverting as much power to his shield as he could, feeling the energy collide with his own. He pulls his right arm back, readying for the punch, as he approaches the man in the purple suit.
Meditat walks past destroyed tables and shelves, as he feels the beam of energy gradually weaken, however he also feels his shield reaching the limits of the power it could block. It would be a close call, but he continues with the plan, marching into hell.
Meditat marches right up to the man, stopping a few feet ahead, keeping the shield up as the Exhuman pushes all of the last bits of energy he has into the shield.
Meditat stands in front of the man as he fires all the excess energy he has at last, point blank into the shield, until at last, the beams of energy die out completely.
The Exhuman keeps his hands out, completely lost in disbelief, as he had just depleted the power of a whole warehouse store, and still failed to take down Meditat. He looks down at his metal gauntlets, realizing defeat.
Meditat deactivates the shield, which was seconds from deactivating automatically from being overwhelmed, but his gamble had paid off, and he could finally do the one thing he wanted to do since the day in the mall.
Meditat throws his right fist, which was armored with the carbon fiber glove, straight into the Exhuman's purple face.
A shock wave explodes between Meditat's fist and the Exhuman's mask, and the man in the purple suit flies backwards, slamming into the metal back of an aisle, causing it to dent badly.
Meditat's fist stays out, sticking in the position after the punch, as though he wanted to savour the moment a little longer. His blue eyes stare ahead, behind the carbon fiber gloves, under the hood.
The carbon fiber of the gloves then collapses and slides back as the armored fists transform back into the standard maneuverability gauntlet, which glows softly.
Meditat takes a deep breath, and retracts his fist, letting the moment go, and ready to wrap up the fight he was challenged to.
Meditat approaches the defeated Exhuman, who lays against down, who no longer seems to produce electric arcs like before, and the only glow from his suit is the four long streaks on his chest and mask, as his vents and goggles stop glowing.
The Exhuman doesn't move, as he only quietly groans, unable to get up to continue fighting. He just stares weakly as Meditat approaches him, with his other gauntlet reverting.
Meditat stands in front of the Exhuman, staring down at his masked face, his hollow yellow eyes. He breathes heavily, resting his mind and body after the taxing battle, relieved that it was finally over. It was a lot just to catch him, and then the fight was a whole other challenge, but for once, Meditat succeeded.
His right gauntlet forms an underbarrel, which is the same as the one that deploys EPDs, which would allow him to close the battle for good. While it was exhilarating to have finally defeated an Exhuman, especially one who brought such harm, Meditat knew he couldn't get caught up in victory until he could secure the resolution.
However, the man in the purple suit begins moving, specifically dragging his right hand up, which shakes weakly. The hand moves towards the leftmost of the four long yellow streaks on his torso, as if trying to grab it, as he tries pushing on.
He coughs twice before softly arguing, "I'm not...going to...lose to you. No...I can't be the only one to lose to you...such wasted power and potential on a filth like you. I came here...thinking maybe part of you was intelligent enough to join me...and if that wasn't the case...I'd put you down so you'd stop being a pest. I still have a mission...this isn't just about me...you're a threat to Exhumans as a whole...a virus that needs to be rid of. You are taking away all that we Exhumans have...and for that...I can't back down to you...I can't admit defeat to you. I have to keep fighting...even if it kills me...I have to be strong enough...to bring about the change that'll bring salvation to us!"
The man's hand hovers over the streak, as if ready to press down on it, as if it would activate something to let him fight on. He clearly has a strong will, as while it was harder to tell how well he was using it, he was determined nonetheless.
However, before Meditat could stop the man from regaining his strength, and before the man could even press on his chest, a familiar echoey beast-like voice interrupts the two of them.
The voice criticizes, "You need to stop overcomplicating your tasks and trying to make this more important than it needs to be. We're here just to kill this nuisance and be able to do anything without worrying about him, we don't need to talk about society. You do this too much, it's getting irritating, Indra."
Meditat lets out a surprised gasp, as he wasn't expecting someone else inside the warehouse store. Furthermore, he finds the voice he hears being recognizable, however he wasn't sure where from, as he only remembers it from a long time ago.
The voice seems to come from behind him, which would explain why he didn't see anyone ahead, however looking at whoever was behind him would be taking his eyes off of Indra. However, if he doesn't do that to check his surroundings, he could be taken off guard, as the voice was intimidating.
He was surprised by the name call however, as while it doesn't sound like a traditional or even real name, it gave a label to put on the man in the purple suit.
Indra lifts his head up, and looks behind Meditat, presumably at the person speaking. He lets out a sigh, and lowers his arm in defeat, as if ready to call off another round.
He then admits, "Fine, I was willing to give everything because I thought you wouldn't make it on time. But I guess you always have to come at the last second, Cratus."
Meditat, seeing Indra seem to relinquish his standing in battle, no longer finds the need to keep an eye on him. Instead, he turns around to face the source of the mysterious yet oddly familiar voice, his hands closed in fists. After making the turn, Meditat finds himself staring at a man wearing a familiar predominantly orange suit, with a red undersuit overlaid with intricate orange plates. His mask has a yellow glow coming off his eyes and a wide vent that resembles an open mouth. It then hits Meditat, he was staring at his first opponent from the bank robbery.
Meditat was already surprised to come face to face with one familiar Exhuman, as while he spent so much time picking fights, he never fought the same Exhuman twice, not until today.
But it was even more astonishing to him to come face to face with another familiar enemy, especially since it was the first one he came face to face with, the opponent of his first battle.
This also seems to be no coincidence, as the man seems to have sought out the two, and furthermore he even seems to know Indra, as it appears the two of them have some sort of working relationship by the sound of their exchange.
Meditat takes deep breaths as he stares into the menacing face of the man who was named Cratus, not expecting to have to come across another opponent, which complicated the situation more, as Meditat thought defeating Indra would end the fight.
Instead, it seems he was entering yet another round, which wasn't desirable since he was already somewhat tired from fighting Indra, but it wouldn't be his choice. Especially if it was true that the two were working together, and Cratus sought Indra, Cratus defeating Meditat could lead to the retraction of Meditat's victory over Indra, something that couldn't be allowed.
The underbarrel on Meditat's gauntlet collapses, yet Meditat keeps his gauntlets set to their standard state, giving him a reset to enter this new round with a fresh start. He however stands in between the two Exhumans, keeping Cratus away from Indra, as the new mission was to prevent Cratus from saving him.
Meditat calls out, "So, you're here to bail him out? I remember last time I had to retreat from our skirmish, I admit I was nowhere strong enough to take you down. But today, I'm not letting you get away free. It was a mistake for both of you to come hunting me, if you forgot, I was the one who sought the fights."
Cratus growls in anger, and he responds, "I guess my last beating wasn't enough, I'll make sure to leave you on the ground permanently. You are no hunter, I am the lion, you are the deer. And I'll enjoy this feast."
Cratus then lets out a raging roar, and he sprints at Meditat, engaging in combat. His first step causes the ground to tremble, and the floor under him to slightly crack, as he puts force on his, his arms swinging back and forth.
He then swings his left arm in a hook, going straight for Meditat's head, to which Meditat reacts, executing a bob and weave, dodging the hook and getting to Cratus's right side.
Meditat prepares for his own strike, however he's cut off, as Cratus throws his right arm out, trying to backhand strike Meditat and cut off his counter.
The sudden strike forces Meditat to thrust backwards, boosting out of range, and making a distance of eight feet with the raging Exhuman. He staggers backwards, trying to think up a plan of attack, as he had lost previously, and needed a smart path to victory, as now the detainment of two Exhuman criminals was on the line.
Cratus spins as he throws the backhand, turning to face Meditat, seeing that he seems to backtrack. He then throws his right fist into his open left hand, the impact already loud and intimidating, and cracks his knuckles under his gloves.
He then roars again before leaping off the ground, leaving a small crater where he stood, and throws a right hook at Meditat while in the air, seeming quick on his feet.
While Meditat steps back to avoid the first swing, Cratus follows up with an attempted swing with his left hand, which Meditat ducks. The man of iron fists continues throwing punches however, throwing fast ones that keep Meditat constantly having to make evasions, as he knows every single punch being thrown was a lethal one.
Cratus charges at Meditat while throwing wide swings, taking a more beastlike set of attacks, which is harder to predict.
Meditat tries his best to do so however, keeping his eyes open on every attempted swing, while trying his best to make more distance with Cratus, which was hard as he was being tracked extremely well.
Meditat strafes to the right side to evade a left swing, and then boosts himself to the side again, facing Cratus again, now on his right once more. It becomes apparent to Meditat that he had to utilize a completely different mentality to combat Cratus, whose combat style was polar opposite to Indra's, as Indra seems to take advantage in long distance combat and range, while Cratus instead capitalizes on close strikes. It was smart of him to try mentally resetting himself, as he realizes that he couldn't take on Cratus the way he took on Indra, as trying to close the gap would only lead to his own defeat.
Instead, he figures that the best course of action was to open the gap, staying away from Cratus to prevent his attacks while dealing his own that couldn't be countered.
Meditat's left gauntlet transforms into an arm cannon, and he immediately aims it at Cratus, who turns to face him. As Cratus meets eye to eye with Meditat, he also stares down the barrel of the cannon which lights up blue.
Meditat opens fire on Cratus, unleashing a barrage of continuous blue bolts at Cratus's chest.
While Meditat fires what would be more than enough strikes to knock Indra down, Cratus's body doesn't even move, as the bolts just strike his body, seeming to fail to affect him. Cratus takes the barrage of bolts, and begins approaching Meditat while he keeps firing, not being held back in the slightest.
Meditat tries to boost backwards to make more space, but instantly realizes he had put himself in a horrible position, as Cratus reaches him, and throws a punch straight in Meditat's chest.
The strike hits, causing a great shockwave off of his fist, and Meditat is sent flying backwards.
Meditat flies into the bakery section of the store, his body crashing through tables displaying cakes and pastries, breaking the whole row of tables down the center of the section, leaving a central open path. His body continues flying back before hitting the wall, which has a shelf of bread in front, which Meditat's body heavily dents, as he slams into the wall with a pained grunt.
Meditat stares ahead of himself weakly, seeing the destruction of the section in front of himself, as the tables had collapsed after being destroyed down the middle. Splattered deserts litter the floor besides the tables, as the continuation of the fighting seems to lead to more damages.
He then looks past the tables, and past the gaping center stands Cratus, who was far in the distance, staring straight into Meditat's eyes.
Cratus lowers his body, planting his feet into the ground, as the floor below his boots crack. He puts his left shoulder out in front of himself, getting in a charging stance similar to what he did back in the bank robbery. His eyes stay trained on Meditat, and he kicks off of the ground, beginning his charge down the warehouse and towards the bakery section, heading straight at Meditat.
Every footstep seems to crack the floor under him, as he builds up speed and strength, enough to kill Meditat if it were to impact him.
Meditat sees Cratus charging at him, and he pushes himself off the dented shelves, staggering forwards. His right gauntlet transforms into a plasma launcher as he preemptively pulls his arm back, so right after it finishes forming, a charge starts to build up.
While Meditat builds up the charge, keeping an eye on Cratus, his left arm transforms back to its regular state, as he realizes his arm cannon would serve no use against him. He lets his plasma orb enlarge as he slightly bends his knees, waiting for the perfect time.
Cratus runs through the open path between the collapsed tables, and as he reaches the other side, Meditat throws his right arm forwards, firing the plasma charge at him. He then immediately jumps in the air, boosting straight up, knowing he couldn't completely depend on the charge to stop the bull.
Meditat boosts forwards in the air, looking down to see Cratus continue running, but rather than charging into Meditat, he charges into the large plasma orb.
To his pleasant surprise, the orb seems more effective than the bolts, as the explosive impact seems to slow Cratus's charge, as it seems to pose as resistance upon the initial impact, as the greater intensity paid off. However, while Meditat's strike seemed better, his decision to evade was a smart one, as Cratus still seems to charge forwards, and collides into the shelf that Meditat was thrown into.
Even the powerful orb doesn't seem to completely stop Cratus in his charge, even though it was supposed to be Meditat's most powerful ranged attack, which worries him. While he initially felt the need to make distance with Cratus, it would only protect himself, but doesn't seem to be a viable path to victory.
His only stronger attacks besides the plasma charge came from his armored fist along with his other close ranged and high pressure attacks, however to execute them well, he'd have to get inside the danger zone, even if it could kill him.
Meditat lands in front of the table, switching places with Cratus, which seems to prove as an effective evasion even again, as Meditat's maneuverability was still dependable. However, running away wouldn't win the fight.
Meditat stares at Cratus, whose shoulder is buried into the shelf, and he takes a deep breath, knowing he'd need to adopt a far more risky tactic, but it was the only way. All he does is wait, trying to prepare himself, as his gauntlets return back to their standard states, since his launchers and cannons were no use to him.
Cratus growls in annoyance, and he yanks his body out of the shelves, which were now completely crushed along with the wall behind them. He rolls his shoulder, and turns around to face Meditat, his charge having been avoided again. He then roars as he runs at Meditat, pulling his right arm back, his fist closed as he prepares for a punch.
Meditat stands his ground, even stepping forward, and he puts his fists up. He takes one more deep breath, and hopes for the best, his gloves glowing blue.
Cratus throws his first wide punch, which Meditat ducks, and he weaves to the side. Right as he gets back up, Cratus throws another backhand strike, which Meditat jumps back from, before having to boost backwards to avoid a wide hook from the left hand.
Meditat continues backing up, dodging strikes, as he tries to search for an opening to take. However, due to the intensity of the punches he has to evade, he doesn't have the focus to transform his gauntlets again, and keeps his standard set. He ducks again as he and Cratus walk past glass displays of more cake.
Cratus changes his strikes to straight jabs, going for Meditat's face, which gives him more forward reach. However, Meditat keeps moving his head from side to side, avoiding every punch narrowly, watching the orange fist fly right past him.
Cratus throws one more jab straight in the middle, which Meditat avoids by ducking, and he counters by throwing a fury of punches at Cratus's abdomen, trying to get his own hits in.
However, Meditat's punches have no effect on Cratus, since they were hardly reinforced and Cratus stays unmoved even while being hit repeatedly.
Meditat continues his punches before being forcefully stopped, as Cratus grabs both of his arms, easily stopping him after feeling nothing from the hits. He then pulls Meditat's arms to the side, restraining him from striking more.
Cratus watches Meditat struggle as he easily keeps Meditat's arms to the side, his hands gripping Meditat's gauntlets tightly. He grunts mischievously, as though an idea comes to mind, and he slowly brings his right knee back.
Meditat's eyes widen as he realizes what Cratus is going to do, as this exact move has been done before, which Meditat can't forget the immense pain from. He couldn't suffer through it again, as it already scarred him mentally.
Cratus chuckles, and he taunts, "This time, I'll make sure you can't get back up."
Meditat takes a deep breath, trying to calm down, trying to focus and think clearly in the heat of the moment. He can't move his hands to avoid the knee to no doubt between his legs, however, that wasn't necessary.
Meditat stares at Cratus dead in the eyes, and his left shoulder launcher pops out of his golden armor. The wide vent begins glowing, and Cratus stops, confused for a moment.
A powerful blast of energy fires out of the vent, which combined with Cratus's confusion manages to break the hold, and causes Cratus to fly backwards, losing his hold on Meditat.
Meditat stands up straight, relieved that he was able to protect himself. He sees that Cratus was pushed only a few feet back, so to greaten the impact, his right shoulder launcher also pops out, revealing the grid of missile darts.
He immediately fires a barrage at Cratus, which all strike on target, causing small explosions that blow up in his face. He hears Cratus roar in confused pain, as his body staggers backwards even more, as he for the first time is pushed back.
Meditat brings his hands up, which are open and loose, putting them ahead of his face. Both of his gauntlets then transform once again, and he closes his hands into fists as they're layered with the carbon fiber gloves, forming his armored fists. Meditat's blue eyes glare at Cratus, ready to fight fist to fist.
After Cratus's threat, Meditat recognizes that he had to beat Cratus to the ground until he wouldn't be able to get back up. He clenches his fists tighter, now armored, staring down at his first enemy, who he didn't plan to retreat from again.
He stares at Cratus, who shakes his head, regaining himself after the barrage. He looks back at Meditat and growls, angry after having been pushed back for the first time. He then lets out a battle roar, and charges at Meditat, throwing a right hook.
Meditat ducks under the orange arm, then weave to the side to avoid a jab from the left hand. He then gets back up and in front of Cratus, and before he could receive another hit, Meditat throws a hard uppercut into Cratus's chin with his right fist.
The carbon fiber glove drives into Cratus's chin, and then pushes him off the ground and backwards, leading him to fly back a few feet before landing back on the ground. He grunts in pain, rubbing his chin in confusion, as he actually felt hurt by the hit.
He shakes his head and closes his fists again, staring at Meditat, realizing now the battlefield was more even. He runs at Meditat again, throwing a right jab for Meditat's head.
Meditat strafes to the left, and immediately throws a hard punch on the side of the Exhuman's head, which sends Cratus flying back towards the collapsed tables, causing his body to slam on top of them, crushing it with the force of the fall.
Following up on his successful strike, Meditat leaps off the ground, and pulls his arm back, aiming for a punch on Cratus's lying body. However, as he descends down, Cratus manages to get back up and jump backwards, avoiding the punch.
Instead, Meditat punches the table, causing it to shatter into a long pile, as cracks form at the edges of the aisle. He looks up to see Cratus land on the other side, standing in front of the aisle of taller shelves.
Cratus leaps at Meditat before he could pull his fist back out, and rather than punching him, Cratus grabs Meditat by the neck, flying forwards. He then spins around, and throws Meditat back towards the rack, however aiming Meditat fair higher, and throwing him with far greater force.
The throw lands Meditat's body stuck up on the rack, and he groans in pain, not expecting the grab and throw, as Cratus had been using only punches this whole time.
The raging Exhuman lands back on the ground, facing Meditat. He growls as he bends his knees, and then leaps off the ground again, leaving a crater, as he pulls his arm back. He then throws a punch straight into Meditat's stomach, causing him to bend forwards, coughing in pain.
Not only did the landing strike cause immense pain, but the overwhelming force put into the punch pushes the entire massive rack back, causing it to begin falling forwards.
Boxes start falling off of the shelves as the whole aisle collapses over, and Cratus maintains his fist in Meditat's stomach, driving it further in, making sure the pain would last. He stares into Meditat's eyes with viscous intent, watching him suffer.
The whole rack falls onto the one in the aisle past it, causing the next rack to begin falling over as well, as a domino effect kicks off, bringing down almost half of the entire store.
Meditat finds himself unable to move, as Cratus's fist keeps him stuck into the rack, his back stuck on the bent metal plate, as he was unfortunate to have crashed there. He grits his teeth in pain as he feels the rack falling, and hears more boxes fall as the store begins collapsing.
Cratus, carefree of the damages caused to a store he cared not an ounce for, just watches Meditat with satisfaction, growling like a hungry wolf who finally beat his competition.
The central rack gets pushed back, as the height of the racks allow them to fall on each other, continuing the great fall.
Meditat coughs again, trying to breathe while his stomach is being pushed in. He stares into Cratus's hollow yellow eyes, knowing he had to get out of the situation. An idea comes to mind, and while he's pressed down, he strafes to the right, and then uses his body's maneuverability to spin, his ribs boosting himself as he revolves around Cratus.
Within a second, Cratus finds himself pressed against the rack, while Meditat stands over him, having swapped their positions. Cratus's fist stays against Meditat, however it no longer gives any pain, as Cratus was put in a bad position.
Meditat takes a deep breath, and he boosts backwards, getting off of Cratus with ease. He closes his right fist, and waits for the right time, moving away from the collapsing racks.
He then thrusts his chest forward, pulling his body straight towards Cratus again, and he pulls his right arm back. He boosts forward while reeling towards Cratus, and prepares several more boosts to his right arm.
He then throws his fist at Cratus, and begins rapidly boosting his arm while boosting his whole body, zooming like a bullet as his fist hits Cratus's jaw. The immense amount of boosts done to his already powerful armored fists causes Cratus to let out a pained roar, and the immense force of the punch causes Cratus's body to break through the entire metal shelf, freeing the two from the first rack.
Meditat continues boosting forward though, his fist staying on Cratus's cheek, as he flies him through more racks, penetrating through each of them as boxes continue falling out of shelves, as the final few racks begin to topple as well.
As Meditat nears the end of the aisles, he drives his fist harder into Cratus, empowering it with more thrusts, sending Cratus flying forward through the last rack, and towards a region of far lower shelves filled with snacks. Meditat flies behind as Cratus's body flies into the shelves, and crashes.
A massive crater forms in the middle of the snack aisle, as Cratus's body slams to the ground, and he lets out a pained groan, never having felt such pain before in battle.
Meditat lands on the ground in front of the aisle, sliding forward as his blue eyes stare at Cratus, his cape flowing from the flight. Behind him, the final rack collapses to the ground, narrowly missing him, and causing a powerful shockwave of wind to be released, making Meditat's cape fly even more violently.
Meditat begins approaching Cratus, who tiredly throws himself back on his feet, staggering backwards. While he was still able to fight, Meditat recognizes that while he had to make Indra deplete his energy, he'd need to deplete his own power into Cratus to win, as he had to overwhelm him to the point where his body wouldn't be able to get back up.
While this plan of attack was risky as it could kill the Exhuman, something Meditat didn't plan to do, he'd have to deal with the narrow margin if he wanted to beat the man.
Cratus growls, leaning forwards, trying to get rid of the pain on his jaw from the punch. He shakes his head, seeing Meditat approach him. He steps backwards, looking around himself, beginning to get desperate, as he wasn't exactly winning.
He looks at a large shelf of chocolates behind him, and turns around, grabbing it with both hands. He then heaves it up, and turns back to face Meditat, able to lift the whole shelf as the chocolate boxes fall.
Cratus roars, and throws the shelf at Meditat, hoping it would put him to a stop. He immediately runs for a shelf of chip bags, and picks it up, not taking any chances on the first shelf.
Meditat strafes to the left, missing the first shelf, which strikes the collapsed racks. He then sees Cratus throw another shelf, and leaps in the air, boosting up to fly over the second shelf. He then boosts downwards, and throws his fist at Cratus, letting out his own roar as he puts power to his punch.
Cratus jumps backwards to evade the strike, and he throws his own counterpunch at Meditat's jaw, trying to deal back the pain. Meditat nearly flies backwards, but thrusts his body forwards, halting his momentum before getting back on the ground. He runs back at Cratus, and throws a fury of jabs, which Cratus evades while throwing his own, as the two try to hit the other.
Cratus throws another hard punch at Meditat's jaw, however it gets blocked by Meditat's gauntlet, which was armored enough to take the hit without causing him. Meditat then immediately throws a punch with the other gauntlet at Cratus's jaw, boosting his fist again, as he saw the window and took it the best he could.
The punch throws Cratus backwards down the aisle, but he puts pressure on his boots into the ground, skidding backwards to slow his momentum as shards of the floor fly out.
However, Meditat gives no time for rest, as he pulls his left arm backwards, and his gauntlet transforms into a plasma launcher. As it does, Meditat fires another barrage of missiles from his shoulder at Cratus, which explodes on impact, causing him to stagger backwards again.
Meditat leaps backwards, boosting away from Cratus, which was odd since he seemed adamant about staying close. However, he has a plan, and fires a concentrated beam from his other shoulder into Cratus's foot, causing an agonizing burn, which Cratus immediately reacts to by lifting his foot off the ground.
Meditat's left gauntlet begins charging up a plasma orb, while Meditat also pulls his right gauntlet back, which still has the armored fist. While it was taxing to use more, Meditat fires another barrage of missile darts, however it was his last batch that he had made for the suit, yet it was worth using to keep a distraction while he continues flying backwards.
Cratus takes the other barrage of darts, which explodes on his body, causing him to stagger back even harder, as his foot was lifted earlier from the beam. He coughs out loud, his voice seeming weakened beneath the echo.
Meditat flies out of the aisle, now a far distance from Cratus, as he flies back towards the aisle of racks on the other side of the warehouse. He orients himself forward, and his boots land on the metal back of the aisle. He then leaps off of the aisle, and using more of his power, he boosts forward with incredible intensity, so much that the force of the propulsion dents the metal back of the rack.
Meditat flies towards Cratus, boosting more and more, with his whole body carrying himself forward like a speeding bullet. He flies into the aisle again, and approaches Cratus.
He then throws the plasma orb with his left arm, which flies into Cratus, exploding on impact, throwing him backwards and in the air, as he loses all the balance he has left.
Meditat, now close enough to Cratus, throws his right fist forwards, and begins putting overlapping boosts on his arm, powering it up like a rocket. He lets out another roar as he puts all the power he has into his last strike, his whole arm turning blue.
The oversized carbon fiber fist strikes Cratus's jaw, causing the top layer of the mask to seem to crack. A powerful shockwave generates between the knuckles and face, with the flaming blue fist driving into the Exhuman. As the fist makes impact, Meditat's shoulder fires its vented blast, utilizing it as offense rather than its intended defensive purpose, using everything he has.
Cratus lets out a grunt, however it gets cut off from the sheer pain he feels, as he feels his life flash before his eyes.
An explosion of blue mist and wind releases between the two fighters, and Cratus's body flies backwards, shooting back with a blue trail before it slams straight into the ground, causing it to skid down the aisle towards the wall, obliterating the floor to reveal a concrete layer underneath. The Exhuman flies all the way into the far wall, his impact causing another explosion of energy, as the power put into the punch has its own explosive release, as Meditat's boosts had their own boosts.
Meditat lands on the ground, his right fist still closed, as he breathes heavily after giving his all into the punch. He pants tiredly, as his shoulder armaments retract back under his shoulders, and both of his gauntlets revert back to their normal state, as he no longer has the energy to utilize his weapons system.
He keeps panting, feeling sweat pouring on his forehead, feeling as though he had just run a marathon and more.
Cratus's body lays against the cracked wall, completely knocked unconscious, as evident by the lack of his suit's glow. He was out cold, and wouldn't get back up in hours.
Meditat's breath begins slowing down as he relieves himself, hoping the battle is finally over.
However, as Meditat stares ahead at the path of destruction, he hears loud footsteps approach him, as though someone is running. He turns around, wondering if he could even keep fighting, as he felt more than exhausted.
Meditat watches as on the far side of the aisle, Indra runs into view, panting heavily as his hand stays on his ribs. He runs down the aisle before coming to a halt, seeing Meditat stare at him, in front of the destroyed flooring.
Meditat's eyes concentrate on Indra, whose streaks are still giving off a yellow glow, however his mask's glow was dim, as he has little charge. He wonders what was going to happen, as the night was long, and he hopes the fight is over.
Indra pants heavily, and he stares at Meditat before his eyes go to destruction. He pants louder, as if concerned, and he asks, "Wait, shi-, no, what happened-? Where's Cratus? He was supposed to finish you off...what happened-?"
Meditat commands, "Give it up, he's not waking up for a while. You shouldn't have come, you lost, both of you."
Indra gasps, and he shakes his head, yelling "No, we haven't! How did you even- what-? Dammit, we didn't think you'd get anywhere, you've lost to worse enemies, why us? No...we were supposed to exterminate you...you were supposed to stop being an issue we had to worry about."
Meditat sighs, and he looks at his fists, knowing he doesn't have the power to transform them into anything, however his fists themselves would have to do with weapons if it came down to it. He didn't want to as it would be far harder to win a battle with only maneuverability, as the last time doing that with Indra didn't go well, as he was put back in the same situation.
He responds, "Well, I've grown since the last time I faced both of you, I've spent every day training harder and harder so one day I'd be good enough to truly challenge one of you. It has been a painful few months, but if this is the effect, it was worth it. You probably never worried about an even match, calling yourself after gods and all, but I've been fighting an uphill battle this whole time."
Indra sighs, and he lets out a pained cough before admitting, "You...you really are something else...aren't you? You know, you remind me a lot of the red lion species from Earth 36...so ferocious...so powerful...and so brave and courageous too. They used to dominate the ecosystem, even other lions, but their greatest weakness was their affectionate side, they saw humans as cute allies whom they didn't want to hurt. So when the people started coming to hunt for them, they hardly put up a fight, and now it's rare to find even one of them, one of the most dominative breeds is now one of the most endangered. You have such potential...you could be the king of the Exhumans...you could control the others with your iron will...if you only knew not to get so close to those mortals. But I guess in the way that soon once the red lions went down in numbers, they were hunted by man and other lions alike, you're pitting yourself up against everyone. The mortals despise people like you, and now, we despise you."
Indra drags his hand over the leftmost yellow streak on his torso as he was doing before, and takes a deep breath, knowing he was already in much pain, but had to do it anyway.
He says, "I'm taking my friend back home alive, and I'm taking you to the streets dead."
He then places his hand on the yellow streak, which causes it to brighten up even more. Suddenly, the rest of the vents around his body begin to glow yellow as well, as if he was reactivating, even though he wasn't absorbing energy from anywhere else. His mask even glows brighter, back to before. His arms' vents light up, and so does his gauntlets, as he recharges.
However, the leftmost streak on his body seems to dim down before going completely dark, as though he had taken all the power from it to charge the rest of himself up, as the four streaks were indeed not just ordinary vents, but their own capacitors, similar to the ones Meditat has on his belt.
Meditat steps backwards, turning completely to face Indra, realizing there was still fight left in him. However, Meditat couldn't use his arm cannons or diamond shield to protect himself from the electricity, making the fight seem a lot more worrisome.
He closes his fist, breathing heavily, his eyes surveying his surroundings as he tries to find an alternate way to fight.
Indra's gauntlets begin sparking with yellow energy as he finishes charging up, grunting as though the charge pained him, but still pushing on. His arms tense as he readies for another round, now having to rely on his reserve power.
He then fires out two powerful beams of concentrated energy at Meditat, trying to evaporate his body immediately, as he wanted the fight over as soon as possible.
Meditat immediately leaps off the ground with a boost, and uses his hands to pull himself towards the collapsed racks for cover, since they stacked slightly behind each other.
Indra's gauntlets follow Meditat as he tries moving away, his powerful yellow energy cutting straight through the metal racks, incinerating them with the slightest touch.
While Meditat keeps pace ahead of the beam, he sees just how destructive they were, as just barely touching him could lead to a quick death. He boosts faster, exhausted from the fighting, as he realizes he may have to begin relying on his own capacitors soon as well.
Meditat flies all the way around the racks and back around, having been able to use them to hide, however he was once more in the open. He pulls himself back to the ground by aiming his hand on nearby shelves, and lands, staring at Indra.
Indra's vents seem far dimmer than when he first recharged, as while the beam was extremely powerful, it was also heavily draining on his limited supply. Indra groans in annoyance, knowing he was almost out, but still has some left. He aims his gauntlets at Meditat, and begins firing rapid bolts instead.
Meditat dashes to the sides of the narrow aisle, running up the shelves themselves just to gain more space to move, and leaps in the air before pulling himself up even higher, and then back down at an angle to evade all the bolts.
The evasion was a success, and Indra's vents stop glowing once again, as he depletes his first capacitor. Indra growls in anger, as he had used a quarter of his reserve supply in seconds, even though he'd need some just to get back home.
However, Meditat was still standing, so the fight wasn't over. Indra, knowing he needed more to fight, slams his gauntlet on his rightmost capacitor, causing it to begin dimming as his vents light up again, and he recharges for a second time. His gauntlets fire back up as his mask brightens once more, leaving the two capacitors on the far sides of his body completely dark.
Indra closes his fists, and electricity begins arcing out of his gauntlets, being released carefully. They then begin surrounding his gauntlets, coiling around his armored fists.
He notices that Meditat isn't using his own weapons, and the observation leads him to the conclusion that it was because Meditat couldn't, as he had been fighting for a long time now. It was relieving that there is an opportunity, and Indra decides to toy with Meditat, now knowing of the limited range.
Indra bends his knees, and electricity begins coming off his body, creating more arcs, as he puts more power to his legs. He then kicks off the ground, and flies towards Meditat, his body surrounded by bolts to carry him like a horizontal lightning strike, as he keeps his electrified gauntlets out ahead of him.
Meditat leaps in the air and boosts several times before pulling himself forwards, avoiding the charge. He looks down to see Indra fly through where Meditat just was, missing the target. Meditat reorients himself around with a spin, looking down at Indra, as he knows there was more energy left.
He is right, as Indra turns around and looks up to see Meditat, and more electricity arcs off his body. He puts his hands forward, and flies up towards Meditat again, flying even faster to try catching Meditat.
Meditat aims his right hand at the destroyed racks and pulls himself towards it, putting a boost on his side in a strafe to speed his evasion, which was just enough to avoid Indra's charge, as the yellow bolts fly right past Meditat.
Meditat lands on the collapsed racks, sliding backwards before stopping himself. He looks up at the man in the purple suit in the sky, with long yellow electricity coming off him. Meditat then aims his hands at the shelves ahead and pulls himself towards it with boosts from his feet, right as Indra charges straight into the racks, missing Meditat by a slim margin, as he lands on the metal racks with angry yellow eyes.
He continues chasing Meditat, who pulls himself away, as the two seem to get back into another chase, however this one was far more close quarters since it was inside.
Meditat strafes to the sides while going backwards, using his hands to boost himself backwards, as he sees Indra right in front of him, trying to catch him, throwing his electric fists at him.
Meditat boosts his sides to revolve around Indra, getting behind him, to which Indra quickly turns around and charges again, not giving Meditat a window to strike back. Meditat's eyes widen as he realizes he couldn't move, and Indra grabs Meditat on the shoulders, pushing his energy into Meditat, which causes Meditat to scream in agony.
Indra keeps his hands on Meditat's shoulder, satisfied by having finally caught Meditat, and he puts all the energy he has in him to try electrocuting him.
Meditat fights back, using all the remaining stamina and diverting it to his maintenance systems, trying to heal his body more than Indra was damaging it. However, it uses all the strength he has, while Indra uses the last remaining energy that he absorbed, leaving the two of them drained.
Both of them stare at once another as they begin falling down to the ground, which is full of furniture, with circles of couches and wooden tents for porches.
Indra crashes into the couches while Meditat was less fortunate and crashes into the wooden roof of the tent, breaking it with his back, as he falls in and slams on the glass table underneath, which was also surrounded by couches.
Meditat groans in pain, lucky that he had fallen on his back, as he wasn't sure how he'd feel if he didn't. He slowly sits back up before trying to stand, as Indra does the same a few feet away from him, sitting on the couch before getting off.
Indra and Meditat get on their feet before circling each other around the furniture, staring at each other's eyes, as Indra's body becomes dim again, however this time so was Meditat's, as the cooling around his body indicates that the blue glow was dimming, as he was low on energy.
He finally reached his limit.
Indra stares at Meditat, noticing Meditat's depowered state, seeing that he has a golden opportunity to win, as he wanted nothing more. Meditat stares back, knowing that he was at a huge disadvantage, as Indra still has two full capacitors, so the fight isn't over yet, while Meditat couldn't give another boost.
Indra takes both of his hands, and he slams them on the two capacitors closer to his middle, seeming to be using all the power he has left at once, wanting an easy victory. His final capacitors dim as the rest of his suit begins charging, with the vents lighting up. He lets out a pained groan from the charge he was absorbing, as his gauntlets light up one more time.
Meditat takes a deep breath, knowing he had to switch to his reserves as well. Orial could sense what Meditat wanted, and he allows the release of energy from the belt, as the glow from his belt begins to dim down.
Although, the streaks coming from the belt brighten up, as does his chest, revitalizing himself for one more stand. His suit reawakens as his goggles get brighter, using his last card. Even with the extra boost, he couldn't risk activating his weapons system, as they were far more taxing, and right now Meditat just needed a way to last.
Indra growls as he sees that Meditat too has a backup, as he thought the belt was just a fancy addition, and that he'd have an easy time melting down Meditat's armor and body. He raises his fists up, and electricity starts coming off his gauntlet, surrounding his whole body, which he was able to do fairly easily due to all the energy he was working with.
He then opens his hands, and throws his arms to the side, releasing the built charge, and firing a wave of electricity all around himself.
Meditat leaps backwards, boosting away, and he uses his hands to pull himself towards the ceiling to escape. He watches as Indra also begins ascending off the ground, following him.
Meditat begins swinging off of the ceiling, observing as Indra doesn't seem to try chasing Meditat, as he just levitates in the air, his body continuing to generate electricity.
Indra looks up at Meditat, and he starts circling his gauntlets together, as electric coils come off his gauntlets and circle to create their own orbs of yellow electricity. He then roars in rage, and throws his arms forward, shooting the orb at Meditat.
Meditat pulls himself away with another swing, dodging the orb, which explodes on the ceiling after the missed impact. Meditat looks back down at Indra, and begins circling around him from above, trying to think up a way to counter. He couldn't get too close to Indra or he'd be struck, he had to build up speed and get Indra to waste his remaining charge.
Indra puts his hands together, and slowly pulls out an increasingly long coil of electricity, moving his hands as far from each other as he could while the coil thickens. He then jerks his right arm back, ripping the coil off his left arm, and creating something similar to a whip made of yellow electricity. The whip becomes longer, as he continues charging it.
He then grunts as he throws the whip up, letting go to throw the long line of energy at Meditat, which gives off its own sparks, trying to cover more of Meditat's space to grab him.
In response, Meditat thrusts his chest, and boosts downwards, avoiding the long electric line. Meditat descends down from the ceiling and towards the ground, and immediately pulls himself towards the destroyed racks as he gets close enough to the floor, staying on his feet.
The quick movement was smart, as right after Meditat begins moving towards the racks, three orbs of yellow electricity strike where he was, exploding on the nearby shelves.
Meditat continues circling around Indra, continuously raising and lowering himself relative to the man in the center.
Indra keeps spinning around, as it becomes harder to catch Meditat, who moves faster and faster around him. While Indra is wielding literal electricity, it seems impossible to land a hit on Meditat, who moves so fast that he appears in Indra's vision for only a split second before vanishing again.
Indra groans, and he puts his arms close together again. Electricity sparks off his gauntlets, and he spins around quickly as he throws his arms to the side, and fires a barrage of bolts that fire all around him, with hundreds of small bolts firing like knives. He spins around to see if he could see Meditat's defeated body, yet there was nothing, and seconds later he catches Meditat in his eye again, as somehow the wide strike missed him.
Indra yells desperately, and he summons as much electricity as he can, seeming unable to get him. He looks around for Meditat, who becomes so fast that all he could see is a blue blur, which begins creating a sphere of its trail around Indra, entrapping him.
He can't get a clear visual on Meditat, not even for a second, and so he begins blindly firing massive bolts of electricity ahead of himself while spinning, with electricity arcing out of his arcs like a tree of branches, hoping the wider caliber would catch Meditat off guard.
Meditat continues circling around Indra, using pushes to bring him down while using pulls to raise himself back up, optimizing on energy usage while also maximizing speed.
He moves so quickly that not even his afterimage was visible, circling around Indra, trapping his prey.
Indra breathes heavily, looking around as he continues firing blind blasts, fearing for his life. He shouts, "WHERE ARE YOU? STOP RUNNING AND SHOW YOURSELF!!! WHERE ARE YOU????"
He grabs his head tightly, and his whole body suddenly releases electricity everywhere, covering the air with deadly arcs.
Indra uses all the energy he could to power the arcs around him, and he continues depleting everything he can, hoping to stop Meditat as a field of electricity surrounds him, trying to shield him.
Indra screams as he uses every last bit of charge he has to expand the field, continuing to fire electricity off his body, knowing he has no chance in trying to aim accurately now.
As Indra covers his head, he suddenly hears Meditat's voice, which echoes all around him as the voice comes from everywhere, as if he was everywhere. Indra shivers as he hears Meditat taunt, "Why do you want me to show myself so badly? I thought that you were an invincible god who couldn't be challenged, let alone defeated. I thought this world was below you, and that it was your calling to dominate everything, I thought you said you were superior. I was led to believe you could do anything and would do anything to prove your strength, even slaughtering innocents, and yet you can't handle not being able to see me for a second. Why? Could it be that you're scared? Could it be that you're terrified that for the first time, you can't have your way? How does it feel, being weak, unable to stop a force greater than yourself, subjected to the will of something else you don't understand, something out of your reach? Do you want to know what that feeling is called, that feeling of being just as vulnerable as everyone else? It's called being human."
Indra begins screaming, utterly breaking down in fear, as he felt completely powerless in this situation. He takes his hands off his head, and screams in a mixture of a roar and a cry, not knowing what else to do but scream.
Suddenly, the electricity coming off his body stops generating, and his whole body begins dimming, as he completely runs out of energy, having depleted his reserves entirely. He stops screaming, and instead lets out a soft confused gasp, as his body begins falling, and the yellow light around him dims to darkness, his power slipping away.
The blue blur appears in front of Indra, and then flies straight towards him, as Meditat uses the remainder of his energy to make one strike. He throws his closed right fist forward, still in the standard maneuverability gauntlet, however the momentum was more than a sufficient boost of strength.
Meditat's fist flies straight into Indra's purple face, with Meditat's whole body hot blue, his energy creating a tunnel around him again, shaped like a bullet. Meditat's sharp blue eyes glare into Indra's wide yellow eyes, as his fist drives deeper into Indra's mask, and for a moment, silence returns at last.
An explosion of blue light releases off of Meditat's body, and a blue comet shoots straight into the ground towards the destroyed path from Cratus, slamming into the ground with another explosion, throwing Indra's body by Cratus's, and large strands of blue mist come from the explosion, like trails of smoke after a great fire.
Meditat stays in the air for a few moments, his fist still out in front, facing the streaming blue mist. He stands over the wrecked warehouse store, collapsed racks, and destroyed tables.
Both Cratus and Indra lay side by side against the wall, both seeming to be inside their own roads of destruction, as their bodies skidding into the ground causes massive cracks into the flooring.
Neither of the two had any light coming off their body, as they were both unconscious, both defeated badly and unexpectedly to both them and their opponent.
Meditat lands on the ground in front of the two, panting heavily, staring at the two Exhumans, who he didn't realize were allied until today. He keeps breathing, unable to slow down, as he is completely drained, for he wasn't even sure how much reserve energy was left. His blue eyes just stare down at the two, staring at the first Exhumans he had ever truly defeated.
Under both of Meditat's gauntlets, barrels form up to his wrist, and two silver disks come out, one for each hand. Meditat grabs them tightly, and the center of each disk glows blue, with streaks coming from the center to the circumference.
Meditat had already been interrupted earlier, and now he was going to detain the two, already having activated the EPDs. He stares down at Indra and Cratus, still unable to comprehend the fact that he had defeated them, but he had to roll with it, and he knew what he had to do.
He had finally gotten his score, and now he could finally prove himself as a reliable and able protector of the city, not another enemy using their abilities for their own gain, but an ally who was willing to go through anything to keep them safe.
Meditat's cape drifts behind him, the smooth chainmail black texture still strong after so much impact, however Meditat's whole suit seems to have taken a beating, as there were dents all over him, not to mention that while he himself was alive, his suit was badly electrified. His breaths slow down, having given more than his all, but having been rewarded. Not just for the work he put today, but the work he had been putting in ever since he realized he had the power to make a difference.
The fulfillment of finally having his work pay off was more satisfying than having beat up some criminal, as he felt everything he had done, all the sacrifices he made, were finally justified, and they were not in vain.
Meditat's black cape continues drifting, as the whole warehouse becomes dark again, returning to sleep after the long, long night.
