As Doulos notices the change in his teachers aura he becomes concern and although confined by the cuffs he gathers enough movement to pinch his teacher back to reality and tells him to focus. The teacher then tries to avoid the paladins gaze which just interests the paladin eventually making him approach the teacher, while carrying a distorted smile on his face,scaring Doulos. As the paladin was standing mere inches in front of the teacher he coldly asks what is his name in which the teacher trying to keep a calm demeanor says
"I don't have a name. Since my wife died, I cast it aside"
As the teacher said that the paladin bursts out into a fury of laughter and as soon as he stopped he gave the teacher a deathly stare and with a distorted voice
"I didn't ask you for your life story, I simply asked for your name. I simply don't care for your history so either tell me your name or I shall unsheath my blade and cut down your student"
With a sudden feeling of unease and fear the teacher without the consent of his own character blurted out his name
"Jiyuu"
And as the paladin heard his name he busted out in to laugh and for a few seconds he didn't until he's face shifted back into a distorted form and he started mocking the teacher.
He speaks in his distorted voice and tells him
"It's always funny when your kind think of freedom when the truth is you'll never be able to achieve it, your kinds only purpose is to serve us the superior race."
Then the young boy who was saved by Doulos speaked up and shouted at the paladin.
"We will achieve freedom one day"
He says it with a smile on his face and just before he could continue a sword struck so fast and perfect strikes the boys neck killing him on the spot. The scene of the boys decapitated head falling still a smile on his face silenced everyone and horrified Doulos and his teacher. The paladin nonchalantly coughs before speaking and says
"Vermin should know their place" and laughs.
The scene of the dead body of the young demon makes lord William become uneasy and not want anymore of his property damaged tries to de-escalate the situation and invites him for a cup of tea stating
"Dear paladin you are probably tired from the long journey from the holy kingdom? why don't we have a cup of tea inside the mansion?"
He shrugs "I guess I could relax a little" he then turns around and ominously says the the teacher and student duo that they will meet again and walks away.
Before he enters the mansion he returns back to the duo and asks them
"do you want to play a little game?"
Leaving the duo having no choice but to accept. As they agreed he gets excited and without warning he releases a wave of holy aura which although inherently harmless to humans has a effect on demons that makes it feel as all organs in their bodies are being crushed.
The sight of the Demon slaves struggle and screaming in pain makes all the humans in the area laugh, but when the paladin looked at Doulos and his teachers direction he was astonished to see Doulos resisting the aura and his teacher countering the deadly energy using his own core energy. Sensing the gaze from the paladin, the teacher pulls Doulos to the ground, this action making the paladin giggle in amusement. He then turned to leave, the lord shouting at his men
"get those pigs away from the main house and send them to the dungeon with the rest".
The men obeying the Command drags them to the dungeons next to the house, upon drawing closer to the dungeon Doulos witnesses scenes that he's all to used to, the fields in which him and his teacher does all their physical labor, the sleeping quarters of the lord's Knights and where they drag young demons to at night to fill there sickening lust. Some not even returning or if they do never return the same, and as they enter the dungeon, the sight of demons clinging on to life becomes clear, ribs visible, bruises and scars fall on their bodies like paint on a canvas and corpses littering the floors along with the scent of blood and the sweet longing for death filling the air. Death has to be a better fate then that of property used by humans. Right!
As the teacher was pushed in to the cell he called home for the past 2 years, he thought back to a time of him returning to his village after a successful hunt, being greeted by his wife and his daughter. He was happy, still using his name Jiyuu, not how he was now rotting in a cell unable to see his daughter. Every since the humans destroyed his village, killing everyone he loved and seeing his wife nailed to a wall, lifeless. What crime has he committed to have everything and everyone he's ever loved be killed? Was it the fact that he was born a demon. But how was it his fault. It was the fault of their god that created me.
Suddenly he's bought back by the voice of a knight tell him
"get on your feet scum, the boss wants to see you"
But he did not move. He was tried. He knew he had to, for his daughter and for his student.
He stands up, knights ready with chains to bind him. They unlocked Doulos cell too, since the boss wants to see him too or to be more specific the paladin was interested in him. As they were dragged out of the dungeon the teacher whispers to him
"do not be fooled by that holy man's words."
Doulos nods seemingly understanding his teacher.
The walk through the mansion was filled with Doulos stares as he looked at the walls painted in gold and white. It was different to the dirt floor and walls he knew, they also received stares from knights and demons who were allowed to work there as maids or butler's. Although they were the same race the indoor demons spewed a look of disgust at Doulos and his teacher since they were demons only reserved for physical labor. As they entered a room filled with paintings and painted a calm blue, they saw the lord sitting at his desk sweating nonstop and the paladin sitting on a couch sipping tea. They knew that even though the lord ruled over the land all the power was currently held by the paladin.
He smirks
"I'm so glad to see you again, please sit!"
Then the lord tells him he doesn't want demons sitting on his furniture and the paladin remains calm and tells him in a distorted voice
"If I command them to sit they sit" he then lifts his finger and channels a small blast of holy aura and fires it at the lord, missing him on purpose. The lord terrified yells
"I'm sorry Sir paladin. Please forgive me" and the paladin just laughs it off.
He then gestures them to sit and as they sat down the paladin catches the teacher off guard
"Why is a commander of Satan's army doing as a slave in the country side" as he maintained a smile on his face. He the continues
"I knew I remember you from somewhere and it finally clicked. Your were the demon jiyuu the swordsman who cuts flames. who killed my senior during the second demon war 20 years ago! Am I right?" he asks giggling and leaving room for him to answer.
As the teacher tries to answer him the paladin, with a swift strike pulled out his sword and held it to his neck while still casually smiling.
