Chapter 3 - Destiny Weaves, Reality Changes

"Hmm!"

Ken slowly opened his eyes. His back was lying in cold soil. He tried to raise his upper body, but he hissed.

"Argh! What's up with this pain?"

The pain Ken felt wasn't physical, but it was so heavy and intense that his brain kept imagining it as physical pain.

When Ken realized that, the memories in his mind struck him like a stone hitting a large water balloon.

Memories were like waves, hitting his mind constantly, refreshing his understanding of himself.

Yes, himself!

The recent memories, especially the painful ones, were about the Ancient Dragon Transformation Technique.

This technique boiled his blood twenty times each year. In two years, he had his entire body almost dried up forty times.

When two memories collided, he realized how he survived that.

The simulator didn't show it. The memories didn't find it. But he knew.

His mother helped him. The only person who was capable and had the responsibility to help him was.

He didn't call it love. It felt weird.

"What the hell am I even looking at?"

The seal was broken. He could feel the memories from the ages of three to five.

Those memories gave him an extra perception of what was going on.

When the realization struck, his eyes widened in panic as he jumped to his feet and ran towards the mirror.

He saw his face. Most of it hadn't changed except for his pupils and eyes.

They had changed significantly. With blue eyes and white hair, he came to a sudden realization.

This thing. This system.

It didn't just change him. It changed everything.

If he used the term from Grant's memories, it changed the reality to his whim.

His mouth opened so wide that one could fit several eggs in it.

"Okay! Take a deep breath! Relax! This is the system we are talking about. Thousands of systems can people overpowered in just a few days."

"Mine is nothing compared to that."

Pa!

He slapped himself on the face and placed his hand on the wall.

"It changed reality. It freaking changed the reality."

"My real parents became my adopted parents. I am the son of the Sixth Elder of Burning Sword Sect, a Middle Tier Sect."

He felt strange. Anger towards this change?

It didn't happen. Not because this system changed his destiny, but because of the moments he spent with his real parents till the age of five.

He remembered many things. His childhood wasn't simply about him living with his (new) adopted parents.

It was about him living with his real parents, finding that his father died at the age of five, having the memories sealed by his mother and sent to his adoptive parents.

All of these happened to him. He had memories of them.

When he saw those texts, he thought it was a simulation and he would receive the talent or even some kind of benefits from his identity.

But it turned out to be a scary truth or a reality manipulation.

"System, before I go outside and find other disciples feeling normal about my white hair and blue eyes, tell me, what the hell just happened?"

Ken finally accepted those memories, but the confusion didn't fade away.

How could it?

His whole life simply changed in front of him, and from those memories, it felt like he was the only one who knew about it.

[Destiny Weaving System weaves your destiny. Destiny changes reality. Every choice you make will have different impacts.]

[Your identity as the son of the Sixth Elder of the Burning Sword Sect emerged from your choice.]

[The system merely changed the world based on three of your choices. That's all you get from Low Level Destiny Weaving Ticket.]

Ken gulped heavily before asking.

"So, let me get this straight! You changed my past. You changed my parentage, and you gave me new talents."

"But all of these changes had consequences. So, you had to maintain my current state and the changes. So, you made me the son of the Xin Family First Daughter."

"But since my father isn't from a prominent family. My mother can't reveal it to others unless she wants me dead. So, she chose to send me away."

"You didn't just change reality. You changed reality to my current state. And, you are saying you did it with just a Low Level Destiny Weaving Ticket."

"This is just low-level?"

[Yes, Host! Low Level Ticket can only change three things, three essential aspects of life that the system sees fit.]

[Middle Level Ticket can change six things, and High Level Ticket can change nine things.]

[But all levels are interconnected. Each change will have an impact on your previous identity in a different way.]

[So, unless Host wants to have multiple identity issues, Host should use only one Middle Level Ticket and one High Level Ticket.]

Hearing that, Ken calmed down for a moment.

If this was what Low Level could do, he didn't know how to even imagine what Middle Level and Low Level could achieve.

Because he couldn't.

His life had already been messed up. He wasn't sure how it could mess up even more. He didn't want to think about it.

'Then, let's not think about it!'

"System, tell me more about your functions! How can I earn points? Wait, are they points? Cause most systems use points as currency."

[Destiny Weaving Currency is Destiny Egg. Each Egg hides a certain reward, and thus, each reward can only be earned through major changes.]

"Wait a minute! Are you saying until I make the major change, I can't use the system?"

[No, Host! The system is more adaptable than you can imagine. Destiny Weaving System doesn't just weave your destiny. It can weave others' Destiny as well.]

At this moment, his eyes widened.

"Wait, wait, are you saying you can affect other people's lives? Wait? What if you can make sure they can never be born?"

[Yes, Host! System can do it, but can you bear the cause and effect?]

As a cultivator, how could he not understand the meaning behind those words?

There were several instances where this world was often saved by people like teenagers.

He had lived for two hundred years, and he heard about several teenagers who ended up becoming the saviors of this world.

With Monster Race at the front, Evil Sects at the sides, and Demon Race at the back, humanity faced challenges daily.

He didn't have to worry about these things. He was just a small ant who needed to control smaller ants.

Bigger ants were holding up the sky for him.

But if he did change something, some people might never be born and never become saviors.

In fact, there had been one savior from the Golden Dragon Sect.

He wasn't that great, but his influence was enough for the Golden Dragon Sect to enter the eyes of the Heavenly Puppet Sect.

Heavenly Puppet Sect was an Evil Sect that recently came to power. Even when he was just a disciple, it was slowly gaining fame.

While the Golden Dragon Sect remained a Low-Tier Sect, the Heavenly Puppet Sect had achieved Middle-Tier Sect status.

Maybe even High-Tier, but he wouldn't know about it.

What they challenged was just a branch of this sect.

At that time, Ken was confident in the savior that came out of their sect.

If the main Heavenly Puppet Sect made their move, he would definitely save their sect.

Unfortunately, he overestimated the power of his sect. Even against the branch sect, he couldn't do much.

Then again, there was nothing he could do.

As an Evil Sect, the Heavenly Puppet Sect was bound to consume every business and talented disciple from his sect.

If he had just remained a coward or run away like other elders, he would've survived, but for how long?

The cultivation world wasn't exactly forgiving.

The idea of letting the villains go to prison for a second chance was something every cultivator would scoff at.

That was an impossible idea.

But even so, he couldn't help but think about the saviors.

Why couldn't he become one?

Well, without the system, he couldn't become one, but with the system, he could bring a lot of changes to this world.

Even if it turned things bad, he wouldn't need to worry about it. Why? Because he wasn't helpless anymore.

As he thought about it, he released a deep breath and said.

"System, tell me! How can I weave others' destiny?"

Suddenly, several panels appeared in front of him.

[Three Destiny Opportunities have been detected]

[Makim Koji] [Lee Yun Je] [Patrick August]

When he saw those names, it took him almost five minutes to remember them.

'Makim Koji, the future Elder of the Sect. Lee Yun Je, the traitor. Patrick August, another traitor.'

'Oh! Now that I think about it, Lee Yun Je and Patrick August were involved with the Evil Sect. But I don't exactly remember how.'

[Host, you can click on their names to see their Destiny.]

Ken remained motionless before he screamed.

"I can do that?"
