Chapter 4 – The Green Stone
Weeks later, Tako sat at a small café in Hokkaido, nursing bruises and exhaustion. His phone buzzed.
"Bro, you won't believe this," said Koto Shinshi over the call. "I found… a stone that has some powers."
Tako's blood ran cold. "Meet me. Now."
Koto arrived, grinning, holding a green stone. "This one sends me back to ancient times, every Saturday and Sunday—the time when the pyramids were created."
Tako's eyes widened. "Time… travel? This can't be real."
"We need to investigate together," Koto said, seriousness settling on his face. "These stones are connected somehow."
Before Tako could respond, a shadow loomed. "You two… talking about stones?"
Makio Shinshi, Koto's cousin and a rare-stones specialist, had overheard them. Curiosity gleamed in her eyes.
