Just like Derek, many people didn't have enough time to play Transformers thoroughly. As a result, they could only get a preview through gameplay commentary videos.
After watching the Transformers videos, they were deeply captivated by the game's plot and worldbuilding. Although they knew the general storyline now, actually playing the game versus merely watching footage offered completely different experiences.
In particular, Optimus Prime's acquisition of the Matrix of Leadership generated massive player interest.
Even some players who had been hesitant about the premium content decided to purchase Volume Two, simply because Prime gained the Matrix. It gave him various transformation abilities and combination skills, and they wanted to experience the upgraded Optimus Prime demolishing The Fallen firsthand.
"Optimus Prime is absolutely broken after getting the Matrix of Leadership! After combining with Bumblebee and Ironhide, I was completely blown away!"
"Super Prime is SO cool!"
"Holy shit, Volume Two was action-packed from start to finish! The final combined Transformers battle between Prime and The Fallen was incredible! My blood was pumping the entire time!"
"Optimus Prime must have become the strongest Transformer on Cybertron now!"
"It's the true embodiment of 'giving wings to a tiger'! Optimus Prime with flight capability is insane!"
"Hey, random question—why are there no boat-type Transformers?"
"Because there's no water on Cybertron, genius!"
"Damn, you're right! I was actually curious about that before too—why no aquatic Transformers?"
"According to insiders at Infinite Realms corporate, they're planning to integrate Transformers into the upcoming new version expansion. It should become one of the main storylines!"
"Really?! Are they adding the planet Cybertron to the main universe?"
"That's a brilliant idea, I support it! Does that mean they'll add a new race of mechanical lifeforms? Maybe even new classes!"
"That's definitely possible! Oh my god, if they introduce new playable classes, it'll be MASSIVE!"
"If they add a Transformer class, I'll definitely roll a new character!"
"I think the probability of Cybertron being added to the main storyline isn't super high, but the probability of adding a new mechanical lifeform class is VERY high.
The development of the Infinite Realms new version expansion should have started quite early—probably already in late-stage development at this point.
Changing the original main storyline at this stage would be extremely difficult, so fully integrating Cybertron into the core narrative isn't very realistic.
However, adding a new race and a new class is relatively straightforward. And adding a new class is not only simpler but also way more profitable.
Given Transformers' current popularity, if a new class launches, huge numbers of fans will probably re-roll from scratch—starting at level one and gradually grinding back up. Just think about how much revenue Infinite Realms can generate during this process. This is much simpler and more direct than just raising the level cap!"
"That makes a ton of sense. But if there really are new classes, I'm definitely playing one. Should be fun!"
A wave of discussion erupted online about whether Transformers would become a new playable class in Infinite Realms.
However, as the saying goes, great minds think alike. If even players could foresee and predict such things, how could Infinite Realms corporate not see it?
And it wasn't just baseless speculation.
As early as when the Transformers content was submitted for review, it had caused quite a stir within Infinite Realms corporate. The executives in the gaming industry naturally had sharp instincts and knew Transformers would definitely spark a new trend.
At that time, the development team already had plans to incorporate these mechanical lifeforms—Transformers—into Infinite Realms as new races and classes, establishing a brand-new progression system.
Stormwind Studios
"Mr. Morrison, this is the latest new class proposal they revised after my last meeting with the Infinite Realms development team. Please take a look!" Nathan handed a document to Alex.
Regarding the integration of Transformers into Infinite Realms' class system, both parties had already met to discuss it once after the Infinite Realms Carnival concluded.
During that meeting, Alex and Nathan had detailed discussions with the Infinite Realms team and made several adjustments to the new class planning proposal the corporate team had provided.
The development team also paid great attention to Alex's input, as he was the original creator and had the deepest understanding of Transformers lore and mechanics.
Afterward, Alex and his team also produced a counter-proposal based on the official team's framework.
Finally, it was handed back to the Infinite Realms development team for fine-tuning—considering overall game balance and future direction—resulting in the current adjusted proposal.
At this stage, it was essentially a fully formed system—a plan that balanced and reasonably incorporated both parties' visions.
In the new class proposal, Transformers would start as robots roughly human height, with only partial transformation capabilities—such as transforming an arm between weapon mode and normal limb configuration.
The progression of Transformers would primarily revolve around four core systems: Energy Core, Intelligence Module, Armor System, and Weapon System.
The Energy Core was critically important, governing sustained combat capability, mobility, self-repair functions, and energy weapon consumption efficiency.
The Intelligence Module involved abilities like transformation capability, anti-interference systems, reaction speed, and passive evasion.
Among these, the transformation ability was gained by upgrading the Intelligence Module. Generally, when a Transformer reached level 15, they could select their first major transformation form.
However, they could only choose ONE initially.
This selection came from fixed system categories including: sports cars, sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks, heavy trucks, and construction vehicles. Each choice would determine their future development trajectory.
Sports car and sedan types would lean toward speed and agility in their Intelligence Module development path.
SUVs and pickup trucks would lean toward a more balanced hybrid between defense and offensive output.
Heavy trucks or specific construction vehicles would lean toward builds with high HP, high defense, and great physical strength.
After selecting a specific transformation category, players could also customize the appearance.
For example, if they chose a sports car, the initial appearance would be generic. Players could fine-tune the look through settings or directly purchase cosmetic skins to change their vehicle form—allowing them to transform into cooler sports cars, trucks, or their preferred construction vehicles.
However, to obtain the ability to transform into military machinery, players needed to either join the United Government faction or acquire military-grade Intelligence Module items in dungeons. This would grant the additional ability to transform into tanks and armored vehicles.
As for flying combat forms like fighter jets and armed helicopters, these transformation abilities could only be acquired through premium purchases OR by obtaining Intelligence Modules with fighter jet, helicopter, and other flight transformation capabilities as rare dungeon drops.
Besides transformation abilities, there was also a chance to obtain the Matrix of Leadership in high-level dungeons. This would grant combination abilities and unlock the development of more advanced Weapon Systems and Armor Systems.
The Armor System primarily enhanced defensive capabilities. Upgrading the Armor System meant upgrading defense values, and it also allowed increases in overall physical size plus visual changes like enhanced armor plating and luminous effects.
The Weapon System enhanced weapon attack power and available weapon types. This was an extremely important progression path.
A Transformer could freely switch between multiple weapon categories: melee weapons, ballistic weapons, or energy cannons. Both close-quarters and ranged combat could be switched at will—but the prerequisite was that your Weapon System was sufficiently developed and powerful.
Alex reviewed the document carefully, nodding slowly.
This was good. Really good.
Transformers as a playable class would be absolutely massive for Infinite Realms.
And for Stormwind? The licensing revenue alone would be enormous.
But more than that—it meant Transformers would become permanently embedded in gaming culture.
Exactly as he'd planned.
