Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 : Gojo?

Hanami, having lost an arm and unable to activate her domain, could only retreat repeatedly, desperately trying to buy time to recover.

At that moment, Satoru Mikami's aura surged.

"It's time to end this."

Having completed the fourth round of Boost, Satoru activated the Pawn trait and was promoted to the Queen class.

With this double amplification, his strength temporarily reached its peak, and he erupted with overwhelming force.

In an instant, all obstacles in front of him were swept away.

Destruction Magic gathered at the edge of his sword, and over a dozen sword afterimages fell like rain in a flash.

Like a hot knife slicing through butter, the magic sword, empowered by Destruction Magic, tore Hanami's body apart.

"Alright, now it's your turn."

Satoru glanced to the side and smirked, "What should I call you? Itadori Yuji… or Sukuna?"

"Isn't the answer obvious?"

Sukuna twisted his head left and right a few times, causing cracks to echo.

"You wouldn't think that brat could wrest control of the body from me, would you?"

"You're so noisy."

At that moment, Itadori's voice suddenly rang out.

The dark markings on his skin began to fade, and his appearance returned to normal.

"I was just quiet because I didn't understand what was going on. How did that turn into me being dead in your mouth?"

Sukuna was stunned. "What did you do?!"

"Took back my own body."

Itadori poked at the eyeball that had appeared on his face.

"Satoru, what's the situation now?"

"My mind's scrambled. I can't make sense of what just happened," Itadori said.

"That's normal for you," Satoru replied with a shrug. Satoru slowly approached him. "In short… you should sleep for a bit."

Bang!

A heavy punch landed, catching Itadori completely off guard. He was knocked to the ground and collapsed unconscious.

Without hesitation, Satoru flipped him over and began performing surgery right there.

When Rias arrived, she froze.

Itadori lay on the ground with his chest cut open, and Satoru was digging inside his body.

"What are you doing?!"

Rias's eyes widened, sensing something amiss.

"A Curse Spirit fed him a Sukuna's finger," Satoru calmly explained. "I'm performing separation surgery… Found it."

With the help of Immortal Arts, Satoru successfully removed the Sukuna's finger from Itadori.

The Spiritual Healing Bracelet activated, and Itadori's injuries began to mend.

"So… you were retrieving the finger."

Rias exhaled in relief. She had initially feared something worse.

"Actually, it's fine even if I leave it, but I'm a bit curious about this thing."

Satoru stared at the finger for a moment before asking, "Rias… can I take a bite and taste it?"

Rias: "No!"

She immediately retracted her relaxed expression—she had let her guard down too soon.

---

Outside Kouh Town.

A young man with stitches on his face sat on the ground, eyes vacant, lost in thought.

Just then, a voice came from behind.

"Mahito, we should go."

Mahito turned to look. "Why are you the only one back? Where's Hanami?"

"Hanami sacrificed herself."

"What?! Are you joking?!"

"No, I'm serious."

"Sacrificed herself… and was killed by him."

"Killed by whom?"

"Rias Gremory's new Servant… a Devil named Satoru Mikami."

He pulled out his phone and handed it over.

"Satoru is a monster beyond imagination. His growth speed exceeded all expectations."

"I originally thought he had at most the strength of a level-two Curse Jujutsu Sorcerer, but he took down Hanami head-on."

"What kind of head-on?! He clearly used a sneak attack to cut off her arm first!"

Mahito threw the phone away after watching the video. "What about the mission objective? Did you get the information we needed?"

"Rizevim's information is still zero, but we confirmed that Itadori Yuji can withstand Sukuna's finger."

As long as we have him, there's nothing to fear.

Mahito crossed his arms. "Actually… I've been meaning to ask, isn't your plan a bit unreliable?"

"It's unreliable, but don't worry. I've prepared a Plan B for you all over the past two days."

Besides, has anyone else investigated this matter?

---

Occult Research Club.

Rias sat on the sofa, her expression serious.

"Satoru-kun, have you been short on money lately?"

"No."

"Then do you have pica?"

"No."

"Since it's neither of those, why did you suddenly want to eat Sukuna's finger?"

"I wanted to test if I could eliminate it with this method," Satoru explained.

In truth, he hadn't planned on eating the Sukuna's finger at first.

But after seeing Itadori's situation, a flash of inspiration struck him—it reminded him of the Devil chess piece.

Since the system could convert a Devil chess piece in his body into a trait, could it also convert the Sukuna's finger into a trait if he ate it?

If it worked, not only would the Sukuna's finger be eliminated, but he'd gain a trait for free.

It would be killing two birds with one stone.

It could be said that he stood to gain big.

However, it was clear that Rias couldn't follow Satoru's line of thought.

"Why would eating Sukuna's finger have anything to do with eliminating it?"

"It's one of my personal abilities," Satoru replied. "I can fully digest certain things I eat."

Koneko, who was watching from the side, narrowed her eyes. "That sounds like nonsense."

"I think it's very interesting," said the man with the eyepatch beside him with a chuckle.

"Why don't you let him try?" he teased.

Rias shot him a warning look. "Gojo-sensei, please be careful with your words."

"Sorry, sorry," Gojo Satoru raised his hands in surrender. "I'm just… a little curious."

He had arrived after receiving a message from Fushiguro Megumi.

But by the time he got here, everything was already over.

"By the way, Rias-san…"

"Let's end the contract here. I've just received orders from higher-ups—they're preparing to transfer the Sukuna's finger."

"I understand."

Rias pushed the finger over.

For her, this news came at the perfect time.

Otherwise, not only would she have to defend against external enemies, but she'd also have to watch over Satoru to prevent him from secretly eating it—which would be a huge headache.

"It's been a pleasure working with you."

Gojo Satoru put the finger away and prepared to leave.

At that moment, Satoru suddenly greeted him.

"Add me as a friend?"

"No problem."

Gojo took out his phone and added Satoru, then, half-teasing, half-curious, asked:

"Satoru-kun… are you trying to find another way to get the finger from me—by eating it?"

"That's not it. I just want to develop some potential clients," Satoru replied.

Ignoring Rias's suddenly tense glare beside him, he took out a business card from his pocket.

"I heard that you guys at Jujutsu High are short-handed. If you need anything, feel free to contact me anytime."

"Whether it's beating… training students, or exterminating Curse Spirits, I can take orders."

Gojo took the card, smiling. "That sounds pretty good. But is it really okay for you to develop clients privately, bypassing your master?"

Satoru replied calmly, "How can you say I'm developing clients privately? I'm clearly developing clients openly and honestly."

"As long as you don't feed him strange things, I'm fine," Rias added.

Satoru's initial acceptance of her invitation had been driven by a desire to fight with different people.

Everyone at Jujutsu High was human, and only Gojo Satoru had any real strength.

The Curse Spirits were even worse—mere cannon fodder; even a special-grade Curse Spirit was no match for him.

Fighting with these two forces, Rias felt confident in Satoru's safety.

Hmm… as long as he didn't touch the Sukuna's finger, she was fully confident.

"I've long heard that the Devils of the Gremory are very emotional… and it seems that's true," Gojo remarked, scanning Satoru and Rias back and forth, smiling before waving goodbye.

"Satoru-kun, I appreciate your kindness. I'll contact you later when I have time."

"You guys should disband. You've been fighting all night—go back and rest."

After seeing Gojo and his companion off, Rias dismissed everyone.

Satoru returned home and opened his attribute panel.
