Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 - What About You

Sarah's face bore a faint smile.

But to Albert Turner, that smile was terrifying!

"Hey, this chick is pretty hot, how about it, want to have some fun with us?" At this moment, one of Albert Turner's lackeys suddenly said.

"If you dare touch her, I'll kill you!" I immediately shouted angrily!

"Haha, Big Bear, did you hear what he said? This kid really doesn't know whether he's alive or dead."

"Big Bear, this chick is really hot, let us have a taste!"

A bunch of lackeys leered at Sarah.

Sarah's expression was icy, and she remained silent, just quietly watching Albert Turner.

Her powerful presence made even me feel a bit nervous.

Albert Turner wiped the sweat from his forehead, suddenly turned around, and slapped one of his lackeys across the face!

"Go home and play with your mom!" Albert Turner cursed loudly!

The lackeys were dumbfounded.

What's gotten into Big Bear? Why is he suddenly so angry?

Sarah watched Albert Turner with a cold gaze and said lightly, "Albert Turner, your men are quite bold."

Without another word, Albert Turner "thumped" to his knees.

Trembling, he said, "Please... rest assured, I'll tear his mouth apart..."

Sarah snorted, "What about you?"

Albert Turner's body trembled even more.

He gritted his teeth, took out a knife from his pocket, and without a word, stabbed it fiercely into his own thigh!

"I... I was wrong, I didn't know Tyler was your man, please spare my life..." Albert Turner endured the pain and said with a terrified face.

Sarah gave him a cold glance and scolded, "Get lost!"

"Yes, yes, I'm leaving..." Albert Turner struggled to get up from the ground, dragging his nearly crippled leg, and crawled into the car.

His lackeys were stunned, not daring to say a word, and hurriedly followed.

The car drove away, and the entrance returned to calm.

I was full of astonishment, staring at Sarah, my mind in turmoil.

Who exactly was this Miss Sarah, to instill such fear in Albert Turner?

"What's wrong?" Sarah returned to her playful demeanor.

She tiptoed and patted my head, laughing, "How did you get involved with these people?"

I smiled bitterly, "It's a long story."

"Oh," Sarah pondered.

"Miss Sarah, you've helped me again, I don't know how to thank you," I sighed.

Sarah thought for a moment and said, "Well... how about you treat me to a meal?"

I was stunned, momentarily speechless.

Sarah had helped me so many times, and all she wanted was a simple meal?

"Is that not okay?" Seeing me silent, Sarah asked again.

I came back to my senses and quickly nodded, "Okay, but I don't have any money on me, I can only cook it myself."

"No problem, I'm not picky," Sarah said with a smile.

So, the two of us walked home together.

Meanwhile, Albert Turner had arrived at the hospital.

"Big Bear, who exactly is that woman? Why are you so afraid of her?"

"Yeah, even if she's the daughter of Crestview City's mayor, it wouldn't be like this, right?"

Albert Turner's face was ugly, filled with lingering fear.

"In front of her, even the mayor of Crestview City is just fit to serve tea and pour water," Albert Turner wiped his forehead and said with some fear.

He had seen top figures from Crestwood bowing and scraping before Sarah!

He had seen the highest echelons of Crestview City not even qualified to speak with her!

"Could she be that person from the capital?" Albert Turner's lackey seemed to guess something.

Albert Turner smiled bitterly and said with a sense of despair, "We're in trouble, real trouble this time..."

...

----

In the central villa of Phoenix Peak Residential Area.

I personally cooked, making two bowls of noodles and a dish of pickles.

"There's only noodles at home, I hope you don't mind," I said as I placed the noodles in front of Sarah.

Sarah sniffed vigorously, looking pleasantly surprised, "Wow, it smells delicious!"

I scratched my head, looking a bit embarrassed.

Having been a househusband for three years at the Wright family, my cooking skills were not quite perfect, but they were close.

Sarah was extremely satisfied with a bowl of noodles.

She wiped her mouth and gave me a thumbs up, "You're really a surprising guy, the food is so delicious!"

I smiled bitterly, "What's the use of a man being able to cook if he can't make money, he's still a worthless loser."

That was what Elizabeth had said to me, and not just once.

"Who says!" However, Sarah rolled her eyes at me.

"Making money has never been the standard to judge a person," Sarah said seriously.

I was astonished.

I couldn't believe that someone would affirm me like this.

I couldn't believe that there was a girl like Sarah in the world.

The stark contrast between them left me somewhat intoxicated.

"You really are a different kind of girl," I couldn't help but exclaim.

"You're quite unique too," Sarah laughed.

Then, she suddenly changed the subject, pointing at the empty bowl in front of her, and said with a grin, "Can I have another bowl?"

I was taken aback and quickly nodded, "Sure, I'll go make it right now!"
