As the sun began to set fate took a twist for one specific teen whose story would never be the same after tonight.
Johnathan was a 15 year old kid. He was fairly average by the standards of other kids his age. He played video games, was big into popular TV shows and movies such as Marvel. He also had a secret interest in anime. Played sports he wasn't good at and had a circle of friends he could trust.
Thas nice and all but one thing for certain changed the day he turned 15. He began seeing things. Things that no matter how much he tried to ignore wouldn't go away. It was something hard to explain and explaining it to his parents was one of his biggest regrets since now he has to go to therapy due to the concern that he has some kind of early onset schizophrenia.
That thing of course was his "system" like from one of those web novels. More specifically it's some kind of gamer ability that is still dormant.
It only appears when he goes to play video games and depending on what game he plays the prompt is always different.
Would you like to be transported to the world of Call OF Duty and become a true gamer?
'Hell no! Leave me alone!'
Would you like to be transported to the world of Minecraft and become a true gamer?
'That actually doesn't sound as bad, but no thanks. Sounds like it would be lonesome.'
No matter what he would always click no. He was fairly content with his life's trajectory. Recently this girl who sits next to him in math class started talking to him and he could swear that she was his future wife. The only reason he could think of to even exist.
Everything was going mostly good until one day there was a miss click and on one of the games he would least like to go into, not for the lack of love for the world but for the fact it was one of the worlds he would never want to be isekai'd into.
It all began when he and his friends were about to have a Naruto ninja storm tournament.
Would you like to be transported to the world of Naruto?
'How many times do have to say it no means n- ah shit I didn't mean to click yes! Fuck go back! Go back!'
It was too late as a blue glow engulfed both him and his console which started to take a transparent hue and slowly faded out of existence.

Welcome to the world of Naruto. You may choose your character:
Johnathan looked everywhere by there was no exit option or any option that would send him back.
"Damn it, I cant believe this is happening this can't be real! They told me I just had schizophrenia! This isn't real I'm about to wake up, I have to."
His panic really couldn't be helped he was just a kid after all. It wasn't like he had the composure of some fictional protagonist who could stare down danger without giving an ounce of fear. To most normal people Johnathan's reaction is pretty fair and valid.
Much to his credit he was able to compose himself after a few minutes as he began to look through the options available to him.
'I still can't believe this is real. Does that mean who I select here I will become. If so how would this work. This doesn't even seem similar to ninja storm since usually thier would be an opponent I have to fight since this is a fighting game. Am I being sent into the wider world itself?'
That thought made him look through his options more carefully. It didn't help that most characters were blurred out and not selectable. He had already tried selecting Hashirama, Madara, Minato, and Obito. They were all blurred out.
Naruto and Sasuke were the best options available but also the most dangerous ones since they are the ones in the middle of every single dangerous event that happened in the story.
"I suppose Naruto is the best option left considering his status as a jinchuriki combined with the raw amount of chakra at his disposal."

the world around me shifted as a loading screen appeared with the image of Naruto and a clone playing with dice gambaling over a ramen cup.
Tip: The tutorial is a mission available in the prologue that helps new players learn the functions of the game system. Declining this quest is possible but the player will not be given any exp or rewards for doing so. It is recommended that players play the tutorial even if they are not new.
'Huh I guess I have to do a tutorial at some point. I hope there isn't too many of these loading screens I feel disorientated.'
It was then that he was able to open his eyes for the first time as admit bubble burst upon his awakening. He was in a classroom if the desk he was laying his head on was any indication. He began looking around the classroom and saw some familiar faces.
To his left was Sakura and Sasuke in that order and the row to the left of theirs had Hinata and a couple of NPC's. The row behind us had Kiba and Shino in the row behind him.
Throughout the room other familiar faces could be seen such as Shikamaru, Ino, and Choji who were sitting together in thier own row.
Naruto pinched himself just to make sure this was real and the prick of pain was the confirmation this wasn't a dream at all. The thought terrified him.
Judging by the looks of them we are all around the age of 12. So it's some time just before graduation from the ninja academy. After that it's nothing but dangerous missions, creepy pedophilic evil scientists who have obsessions over eye balls, dangerous criminals who like to kidnap children in general who that same pedophilic scientist worked for at some point, and a couple of aliens who would love nothing more than to suck all the chakra out of me.
'I hate this world. Good anime but this is the last place I want to be. Why'd did I choose the main character? Wasn't the ramen guy an option? Am I an idiot everyone knows who the sage of six bowls is?'
"NARUTO! Stop spacing out!" This was of course Iruka who was using his big head jutsu infuriated at me going from napping to star gazing while he gives one of his last lectures before the graduation exam.
Iruka was practically seething, "The graduation exam is at the end of the week are you trying to fail?"
Naruto still disoriented from the pseudo transmigration was still of his game and just mumbled and apology while being laughed at by the NPC's of the class including the loud and annoying Kiba right behind him.
As the class continued to go on Naruto was figuring out how to operate the gamer system by going through the tutorial and for the most part figured it out using his experience playing video games such as Fallout or Skyrim two games that seem to inspire some aspects of the gamer system.
New Quest 'Tutorial'.
Complete the tutorial and learn the basic information required to survive.
Rewards: 100,000 ryo (approx. $2,000 in previous world) and 15 attribute points
Accept or decline?
'I accept. In my last life it would take me several Christmas's to save up that much money. Probably even my whole lifetime. Why couldn't I have had this generous system in my old world?'
A/N: This tutorial section is a massive info dump you may skip at your own risk. This basically explains the elements of the game system. Some information may come off redundant especially since I pulled information from several different games and other media to create my own unique system nitpicking the stuff I liked and throwing out the stuff i didn't care for.
The upcoming yap session includes: The main components of the system such as player level, attributes and how they operate and how they can be trained, as well as what would be easier for Naruto to train versus what would be harder thus require attribute points.
The game was like a chimera of game systems from different fictional pieces of work. Aspects of 'the gamer' such as skill creation exists. Similar to the premise of Solo Leveling there are also dungeons that only I can access to farm experience. Thier are attributes similar to all previous mentioned game title excluding Skyrim. It's organized similar to the gamer however since perks aren't unlocked by leveling up and spending points on something you have enough points in.
First of all there is the player's level up bar. Upon getting the exp to level up the player is granted a reward such as a sum of money which can be spent in the market aspect of the game to buy items, jutsu, and other unique items in the shop. The money can also be withdrawn from the inventory and used as normal currency. The player is also given 15 attribute points upon leveling up.
These attribute points can be used to increase any of the 7 main attributes. These attributes are similar to Special from the Fallout franchise except there is an extra C which stands for chakra.
Upon reaching a mile stone a perk is automatically given or leveled up. These milestones are met every 25 attributes points
All attributes are set at x which is the baseline stat meaning X is basically Naruto's attribute expressed as a unknown value that represents talent in a particular attribute. It's also important to note that Intelligence X doesn't necessarily equal Chakra X since Chakra X itself could be closer to 9000 than intelligence is to reaching the value of 9.
Adding attributes to that baseline would be an expression of X+1 rather than 1X. Using an attribute point is an increase not a multiplication of power or talent. For example if Naruto dumped 15 points into Chakra that value would be X+15 not 15X. The display in the attributes page will still show 15 though but should be understood what that 15 would represent.
Strength- strengthens the force behind punches and kicks, Increases carrying capacity, allows for the skill creation of strength related perks, and unlocks perks under the strength tree
Perception- increases eyesight/rendering distance, allows for the creation of skills related to perception, and unlocks perks under the perception tree.
Endurance- Increases stamina, Helath Regeneration, and natural defense. Allows for the creation of Endurance based skills and perks under the Endurance tree.
Chakra- increase the maximum spiritual and physical energies which combine to form chakra. Allows for the creation of new jutsu depending on if other necessary attributes are at the proper level. Unlocks perks under the chakra tree.
Charisma- Increases the players Natural appeal and molds players appearance both in looks and personality into something more pleasant to look at or be around in the eyes of others. Chance at lowering prices in gamers market and potentially in person. Allows for the creation of charisma based skills. Unlocks perks under the charisma tree.
Intelligence- Measure of ones ability to learn, process, and retain information information. Allows for the creation of blueprints based on intelligence. Unlocks crafting system. Unlocks perks under intelligence tree.
Agility- Measure of a gamers speed whether it be movement, attack, and other actions such as dodging and forming hand seals. An increase in Agility also increases Crafting speed. Allows for the creation of skills based on Agility. Unlocks perks under the Agility tree.
Luck-measure of a players luck. Increased luck increases quantity and/or quality of loot drops in dungeons. Increased chance of favorable events such as winning the jackpot when gambling, a breeze of wind will deflect an enemy projectile. Allows for the creation of luck based skills. Unlocks perks under the luck tree.
With the details of the attributes out of the way it is important to note that all of these attributes can be trained by doing related tasks. Strength training is about what you would expect. Perception can be trained similar to how Neji trained his byakugan in cannon simply by using that sense or even taking it a step further and limiting the other senses to prioritize a specific sense. Endurance can be trained by pushing past limits or taking hits in an exercise, spar, or combat. Chakra can be trained through exercise and eating healthy foods. Charisma can be trained by having conversations. Successful skill checks in a conversation offer double the typical experience. Intelligence can be increased by reading new or old material. More points are offered for reading new material. Agility is trained by practicing movement whether it be running, dodging, hand seal speed, or anything else related. Luck is trained in luck based practices such as card games or other luck based games.
'How this applies to me is simple. I can tain each of these on my own but some would be easier than others. Charisma for example starts off as one of the hardest since almost everyone has a negative opinion of me. Trying to conversational with them wouldn't exactly be easy. I'd have to use people like Iruka, Hinata, or Team 7 to grind this skill since I can't rely on the average villager or merchant for this task is Naruto's memories were anything to go by. While he wasn't abused by villagers he was definitely neglected and ignored.
The only aggression that came was under actual provocation whether it be by a prank or constant pestering. Not that the more naive version of Naruto was to blame for how he acted, he was simply a product of his environment. The village was lucky he didn't become violent. The only barrier between that outcome was surprisingly the actions of the third Hokage. Had he been a bigger asshole he would have done something stupid like send assassins after his mentally unstable son like a certain asshole who lives in a desert. That's a story for another day though.
Getting back on track charisma is hard for Naruto specially to level up but strength and agility not so much. That is because Naruto even without the gamer system helping him had a natural healing factor that allows for the recovery from wounds which would include torn muscles. This meant that he can train his physical stats harder and longer than others since his baseline endurance stat with the value of 0 or x if we wanted to use algebra terms is much higher than the average person just like his chakra stat. Every person in this world has some kind of advantage along those lines. An andvantage that they are either born with or train for themselves. Lee and Neji both come to mind. Neji's perception stat with a value of 1X is worth more than Naruto's Perception stat with the value of 1X. That's because Neji both has a higher baseline and without a gamers ability in my hands he would have a higher ceiling. His only issue now is that he has a limits. Lee wasn't born with his strength but he trained it to reach his ceiling and then later learned the gates to push his ceiling higher. In that sense his strength could be something like 100X and be higher than someone's 10X but lower than some random Otsutsuki level threats 10X.
That was one of the main themes of the show actually. Hard work has the potential to beat a lazy talent. Naruto and Sasuke easily had a higher ceiling in part 1 but were toyed with by Lee because at that point Naruto had barely took his training to the big leap you would expect from a chunin or Jonin let alone from someone who screams about being hokage. Sasuke even while relying on his sharingan which had recently awakened at that time still lost because Lee had a better work.
'That is something I can surpass. It doesn't matter if others would naturally have a higher baseline or ceiling. With enough hardwork I live without a roof.'
A/N: The Yap session is over.
Naruto sighed as his head began hurting from the information overload. A smile dawned his face when heard the sound of a bell chiming which shown that the system had recognized that he had finished the tutorial.

'I first off used 8 points to increase all stats to 1 just to see how much of an increase each would have if increased by 1. I wanted to see if all attributes points are equal despite the varying baselines which would have already been the only logical conclusion in the first place. I also wanted to test to see just how much these would increase by a unit of 1. Perception was the one I would use sense it's the only one that I've gotten familiar with before the increase in the first place. Naturally no matter the result I'd have to conduct more tests in the next few level ups as well. After I used my first 8 I had 7 left which I split between Charisma and intelligence since i suspected those would have the lowest value.'
'While I was well studied in my previous life it feels like Naruto's memories slightly nerfed me since he didn't understand much despite studying surprisingly a lot. In simple terms his stupidity dumbed me down.'
Finally finishing the tutorial and its aftermath Naruto paid attention to Iruka when he noticed an icon with an I at the bottom of his vision starting to create a circle like some kind of completion bar.
'So this must be where I can track my progress when training. That's neat.'
Not wanting to simply waste time Naruto quickly thought of a way to get some training in during the lecture.
While Iruka lectured Naruto would train his Intelligence and perception at the same time. With that thought he close his eyes… and quickly drifted off to sleep.
