Chapter 6 - Ch.6

Gary looks at the Poké Ball in Ash's hand with excitement: "Don't tell me you already have a target to catch?"

Ash smiles and replies: "Yep, I decided long ago!"

For his dreams and to give Delia a better life, he's going to walk that 25-year road again and fulfill all his heart's desires!

As soon as he says this, a system notification sounds like a heavenly melody to Ash: "Ding... Hibernation has ended. The Dream Fulfiller System is officially activated! Newbie Pack, Main Quests, and Achievement Quests have been issued. Please check them on the system panel..."

"Gary, I suddenly remembered that I have clothes in the wash that I haven't hung up yet. Wait for me for a sec!"

With that, Ash dashes back to his room, leaving a confused Gary to look at the clothesline in the yard, which is already full of clothes...

The first thing Ash does when he gets to his room is open the system panel.

The phone screen is neatly divided into four sections: Panel, Inventory, Quests, and Achievements.

He opens the panel and sees his stats for the first time:

Ash lv. 6 (Novice)

Age: Adult

League Coins: 250

Ability: Multi-Type. Possesses the potential to learn all type-based moves. Can freely switch to the corresponding type after obtaining a Plate, Z-Crystal, or Tera Orb.

Carries: Fragmented Thousand Arms of Creation

Potential: 72 (Max Potential 720)

HP: 12, Attack: 12, Defense: 12, Special Attack: 12, Special Defense: 12, Speed: 12

Moves: Tackle (Mastered), Harden (Proficient)

Passives:

Creator Affinity: As Arceus in the form of Ash, the entire world favors you.

Effect: Increases all creatures' affection towards you. The effect gradually increases over time. Increases perception and affinity for energy.

Superhuman: Possesses a physique far beyond that of an average person. The effect will gradually increase with your strength.

Effect: Enhances stamina and physical fitness. This body is super durable~

Description: A human who has gained some of Arceus's power by absorbing its remnant soul and the divine artifact, the Thousand Arms of Creation. In theory, there is a possibility of returning to your peak.

Due to the fragmented state of the divine artifact and soul, your potential has only retained 10% of its original value. The loss of the Plates means you can only learn some basic Normal-type moves. It is not recommended to capture and train unless you have a lot of money and a lot of free time.

"???" Ash is stunned. 72 potential? Is this a joke? I'm the mighty creator, and I'm worse than a Magikarp, is that it?

No wonder he only learned one move in ten years...

But is that "Harden (Proficient)" serious? Ash suddenly thinks of the most rigid part of his body... and it starts to make sense? Delia always bathed with him, after all...

Shaking his head, Ash opens the Quest panel.

Main Quest: Return to the Peak

Description: Reign over the world and return to the peak. As the heir of the creator, you must inherit Arceus's will, investigate the truth of its death, and reclaim the entire world.

Reward: None. Failure to complete this quest will result in a life-threatening consequence for the host.

Main Quest: First Partner

Requirement: Capture your first Pokémon.

Reward: Must-Have Travel Pack.

Ash recalls the burst of laughter from when he first transmigrated. He just doesn't know what the specific situation is or who the enemy is...

After a long time in thought, Ash decides to stop thinking about it. Even if he knew the culprit now, he'd be no match for them.

He turns his attention to the Achievement panel. There's only one entry:

Lifetime Master Path - Phase 1 (0/1):

Requirement: A true Master is always the most dazzling person in the room. Strive to let your light shine. The path of a Master is to constantly illuminate others, bringing them inspiration, wisdom, energy, motivation, emotion, and growth.

Reward: Master Pack 1

Ash is speechless... Could this requirement be any more vague?

"Forget it, none of this matters. Time to open the pack!" Ash turns his attention to the only item in his inventory: the Newbie Pack.

He selects and confirms to open it.

"Ding! You have opened the Newbie Pack. You have received the Skill Tome: Clairvoyance, the Pokémon Encyclopedia 1, and The Self-Cultivation of a Chef 1!"

"Huh... Why two books??" Ash's mouth twitches. In his past life, he was a total slacker. Reading is still a little too difficult for him.

"Whatever, I'll use the Skill Tome first..."

He selects and uses it.

The next moment, Ash feels like he's been hit on the head with a Precipice Blades. His head is spinning...

After a moment, he returns to normal. When he opens his eyes, he finds that his vision has improved greatly.

He can even see a pair of Rattata moving around in the little forest outside the window, clear as day...

"Tsk... in broad daylight, how could they do such a lewd thing!" Ash says with a pained expression: "This is truly... enviable!"

Then he notices a line of text next to the two books in his hand:

The Self-Cultivation of a Chef: A collection of timeless works from famous chefs in various parallel worlds, such as Little Chef, the God of Cooking, Sanji from One Piece, and Joichiro Yukihira from Food Wars!.

Effect: Upon use, you gain a master-level talent for cooking. Through future learning, you can easily create glowing dishes that will make her cry, laugh, "woah-woah," and unable to close her legs!

Pokémon Encyclopedia: A physical version of Serebii.net, the most authoritative Pokémon website of the 21st century. It will be updated in real-time with Nintendo's development progress. Currently updated to the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet game data.

Note: Cannot be used. It is recommended to read it often~ As the saying goes, a boy who loves to read is more charming!

"Huh? Is this the effect of 'Clairvoyance'?" Ash immediately begins to test it in the room...

After some tries, he concludes that Clairvoyance has two modes. The first is for objects he touches at close range, which can show him detailed information. The second is for objects he stares at from a distance for a period of time, which shows him a summary of the information.

Additionally, Clairvoyance consumes mental energy. Using it too much will cause dizziness and a feeling of lightheadedness, a bit like the symptoms of... too much "self-love."

Ash uses "The Self-Cultivation of a Chef." This time, there's no splitting headache. He just feels a new interest and ideas about taste, ingredients, cooking time, knife skills, and other culinary knowledge.

After getting ready, Ash and Gary walk together to Professor Oak's lab.

It's a large manor with red roofs, white walls, and a windmill. No matter how many times Ash sees it, he's filled with emotion.

As a former League Champion, Professor Oak retired to pursue research but still places great importance on nurturing the next generation. Besides his two talented grandsons, he also has high hopes for the town's genius youths, Red and Ash.

So, Ash is very familiar with this large manor, having received a lot of care from the professor over the last ten years.

"Ash, Gary! You guys are so slow! Hurry up, hurry up! I can't wait to get my Pokémon~"

Before they even get close, a beautiful girl runs out of the main gate and calls to them.

She has a pair of large, mischievous eyes. Her short denim shorts expose her two long, jade-like legs to the air. Her perky little nose wrinkles slightly, showing her displeasure at their tardiness...
