Chapter 32 - "chapter 32 "Rebellion of the Beasts

They watch the two Bloodied Fists hauling the cannon slowly out of the fortress.

Torches throw sickly light across the iron and stone as the monstrous weapon creaks forward.

Eli:

"How do we even destroy that thing?"

The wolf sat down beside the wall,

arms folded lazily behind his head,

eyes drifting shut as if none of it mattered.

He let out a quiet sigh, tilting his head back against the cold stone.

To anyone watching, it looked like he was about to take a nap—

right in the middle of chaos.

Wolf (cool, composed):

"It's easier than it looks. It just needs a plan."

Eli:

"What plan?"

The wolf stand up turns, pointing with one lazy finger toward the outer side of the stronghold.

Wolf:

"Look at the fortress from the outside."

Eli peers over the battlements, her eyes narrowing.

Along the base of the fortress walls, a tangled network of filthy drainage pipes is bolted deep into the ground, oozing waste and grime.

Thick cables twist among them—each one pulsing faintly with power,

all of them running straight toward the core of the Black Redemption,

feeding it with energy like black veins pumping life into a monster.

Wolf:

"If we find a way to destroy or block those pipes, the cannon will be ruined by the pressure — it'll break down."

Eli stares for a beat, nervous and cartooned with a twitchy energy.

Eli:

"And the animals in the cells—what about them?" After all this , how save them ?

The wolf glanced at her with a lazy look, voice as cool as ever.

Wolf:

"They'll die."

Eli's face flared. She slammed a kick into his shin again.

The wolf yelped, hopping, more annoyed than hurt.

Wolf (irritated):

"Stop kicking my leg—it hurts!"

Eli:

"I have an idea."

Wolf:

"I don't want to hear it."

Eli snorted with a sarcastic laugh.

Eli:

"We'll make chaos."

For a heartbeat the wolf stared at her, cartoonishly stunned.

Wolf (shocked):

"No. I'm not getting involved in that. I want out of here."

Eli slid down the inner side of the rampart and squeezed through a small window.

The wolf watched her go, annoyance twisting his face into a dumbfounded grin.

Wolf (muttering):

"I should never have saved her."

The wolf glanced toward the tower at the edge of the fortress.

There, framed in a narrow window, stood the Marshal—

his cold green eye scanning the entire stronghold like a hunter watching his prey.

Wolf (grimly):

"This isn't gonna end well… I can feel it."

Meanwhile, Eli was sprinting through the fortress corridors.

She burst into a cell, slamming the door open,

and began breaking the chains that bound the imprisoned animals.

Suddenly—

a shadow fell across her.

She turned, eyes wide.

A Black Wolf guard loomed behind her, teeth bared.

Black Wolf:

"What's going on here?! Intruder!"

He raised his weapon—

but before he could fire, he collapsed to the ground with a thud.

Behind him stood the wolf, glaring,

his expression a mix of anger and exasperation, drawn almost cartoonishly.

Wolf:

"I really shouldn't have saved you."

Eli (smirking):

"Too late. You did.

And now you're stuck with me… wolf-puppy ."

The wolf glared, irritation flickering in his eyes.

His tail twitched, and his jaw tightened as he muttered under his breath.

Wolf"

Wolf what ?

Eli sprinted through the corridors,

throwing open cell doors one after another.

She rushed inside each one,

breaking the chains that bound the imprisoned animals,

her breath quick and desperate,

the sound of snapping iron echoing through the dungeon halls.

The wolf ran beside her,

throwing punches and kicks at every Black Wolf that crossed his path.

His blows landed hard, echoing through the stone halls.

All around them, chaos erupted—

freed animals poured from their cells,

charging through the corridors behind Eli,

their roars and cries shaking the fortress

as the revolution began.

Chaos tore through the corridors.

A large squad of Black Wolves stormed in, blades and rifles flashing under the firelight.

Gunfire echoed off the walls as they chased the fleeing animals.

One of the wolves sprinted to a lever on the wall and yanked it down—

a blaring alarm roared across the fortress,

its metallic howl piercing through the chaos.

The Black Wolves froze for a second, glancing at each other.

From the tower above, the Marshal stepped out, his voice booming like thunder.

Marshal:

"What the hell is going on?!"

Wolf (nervous laugh):

"...Oops. That's not good. What now, cat?"

Eli (yelling):

"We run!"

Wolf (panicking):

"Run?! Great—how do we even get out of here? Got a plan?"

The Black Wolves charged down the hallway toward them, weapons raised.

Eli:

"Just run and stop asking questions!"

Wolf (shouting):

"You're insane!"

They sprinted down the corridor—

until the path ended abruptly in a dead end.

Eli (sarcastic):

"Perfect."

The Black Wolves charged in, weapons raised—

their boots thundered against the stone as they opened fire,

bullets tearing through the air and sparking off the walls.

The wolf and Eli dove for cover, the gunfire echoing like thunder behind them,

the entire corridor flashing with bursts of light and smoke.

The wolf's eyes darted rapidly, searching for a way out—

and then he saw it: a massive central core.

All the drainage pipes outside the fortress fed directly into it,

turning the filthy runoff into a crude source of power.

Beneath it, thousands of cables pulsed faintly,

each one linked to the Black Redemption,

feeding it energy like the veins of a living beast.

Wolf (grinning slightly):

looks like we just found our exit."

"We'll break the pipe and black Redemption will dest-

Before he could finish, Eli snatched a burning torch from the wall

and hurled it straight at the central pipe.

Wolf (screaming):

"NOOO! YOU CRAZY WOMAN!!"

Eli turned toward him, smirking with pure mischief.

A deafening roar followed—like a beast screaming in fury.

The pipes and cables began to shake violently, sparks bursting from the core as fire raced through the wires,

moving with blinding speed toward the Black Redemption,

like a fuse racing toward a stick of dynamite.

The wolf clutched the back of his head, shouting—

Wolf: "What did you just—"

Before he could finish, the flames reached the cannon's core.

In an instant, a massive plasma explosion erupted,

a blinding white light blooming upward like a mushroom cloud,

vaporizing the Bloodied Fists and everything near the engine room.

The fire then surged back through the sewage lines,

igniting the gas and filth within—

a chain reaction of explosions tearing through the fortress grounds,

shattering the very foundations of the stronghold,

as the earth itself gave way beneath it.

The Black Wolves scattered in panic, their discipline shattered.

They ran in every direction—shouting, colliding, tripping over rubble—

as the stronghold crumbled around them like a dying beast.

Flames burst from the walls, stone split beneath their feet,

and the air filled with the deafening roar of collapsing towers.

Some tried to drag their wounded comrades away;

others threw down their weapons and fled blindly into the smoke—

but there was no escape.

The fortress of the Black Wolves… was falling to pieces.

The Marshal stood frozen, his single green eye wide with shock.

Before him, the mighty fortress crumbled—

towers collapsing, flames devouring stone,

the ground splitting open as smoke and fire rose to the sky.

For the first time,

the Marshal's calm, cold face broke—

replaced by disbelief and silent rage

as he watched his empire fall to ruin.

Amid the chaos, the wolf yelled through tears and smoke:

Wolf:

"WHY DID I EVER FREE YOU?!

I could've been in the Golden Jungle right now and I drinking humbu

(something like wine)

Suddenly, the ground gave way beneath them—

the entire fortress collapsing into chaos.

Walls split apart, stone shattered, and every freed animal screamed as they fell into the void below.

Wolf (shouting):

"Nooooooo!"

Amid the falling debris, Eli tumbled through the air,

her fur whipping in the wind,

a fierce smile on her face.

Eli:

"This… is for my home!"

The wolf's eyes filled with tears as he plummeted after her,

arms flailing, heart sinking.

Wolf (crying):

"Why me?!

All I wanted was to get away from all of you!"

The fortress began to crumble—melting into the earth like wax under fire.

Stone towers split apart, the walls sagged and collapsed,

and the ground itself trembled, splitting wide beneath the Marshal's feet.

Marshal (furious):

"Damn it all—!"

The crack widened with a thunderous roar.

He stumbled, the floor breaking apart beneath him—

and in an instant, the Marshal was swallowed by the collapsing ruins,

vanishing into the abyss as the fortress sank into the earth.....

A few seconds later…

The only sound left is the whisper of the wind,

sliding through the leaves and the shattered ruins—

carrying the smoke and dust upward,

until they vanish into the dark night sky

Amid the rubble, fire, and drifting dust,

the Black Wolves wandered slowly—

their footsteps heavy, their eyes vacant,

stumbling in every direction like lost shadows.

Eli rises slowly from the rubble, saying nothing—

dust and ash sliding off her fur as she steadies herself.

Behind her, a faint voice mutters and groans.

She turns, stepping carefully over the broken stones,

and from beneath a pile of debris, a familiar grumbling can be heard:

Wolf (muffled, exhausted):

"That's it… it's over.

I'm done.

I want permanent vacation—somewhere tropical… maybe an island in the Pangaea Sea.

I quit. I resign.

It's finished."

Eli lifts the heavy slab.

Wolf:

"I want a vacation."

Eli grabs him and hauls him out from the rubble.

All around them, thousands of freed prisoners stumble through the ruins, fighting to survive. Gunshots and shouts from the Black Wolves cut through the smoke:

"Don't let them escape — kill them all!"

Eli:

"The Black Wolves — we have to go..NOW."

The wolf looks at her with that dumb, dazed expression.

Wolf:

"Great idea — didn't see you coming up with that while you were blowing up the fortress."

As Eli and the wolf move cautiously through the wreckage,

dark silhouettes begin to take shape in the drifting smoke.

From every direction, figures emerge—Black Wolves, their rifles raised,

the glint of their barrels cutting through the haze.

The wolf freezes, eyes wide with disbelief.

Wolf:

"So… what now? You got a plan?"

Eli stays silent for a moment

Eli:

"I don't know."

The wolf sighs, shaking his head with a crooked grin.

Wolf:

"Perfect. Love the plan. Great potential—really inspires confidence."

Amid the Black Wolves, the Marshal stalked forward with slow, jerking steps — wounded, blood streaking down from his head. He locked eyes on Eli and the wolf. His teeth ground together, rage carving every line of his face as he stared at his shattered stronghold. He clenched his fists until the knuckles went red .

Marshal (cold, furious):

"I will crush you."

He raised his gun, leveling it at Eli and the wolf. At once every Black Wolf around him readied their weapons in unison. A heavy silence fell — the sky above blackened, a blanket of storm clouds swallowing the moon. Thunder rolled, lightning cracked, and rain began to hiss down.

The Marshal's finger lifted toward the trigger.

Suddenly—a gunshot cracks through the air.

The blast echoes across the ruins, sharp and violent.

Then, a fierce, familiar female voice, filled with rage and hatred, cuts through the chaos:

Voice (shouting):

"Slaughter the tyrants!

Bring me the heads of Chain and the Marshal!"

The Marshal lowers his gun, his expression unreadable.

He turns his head toward the forest, his voice cold and dripping with contempt.

Marshal:

"More idiots…"

From the shadows of the trees, thousands of armed animals burst forth—

foxes, hares, badgers, weasels, and ferrets, charging out of the dense woods.

Gunfire erupts as they surround the Black Wolves,

bullets cutting through the smoke and chaos.

The Black Wolves split into squads, firing back,

the night filling with the sound of gunfire, roars, and screams.

Through it all, the Marshal stands silently, watching the battlefield burn.

Then he turns his gaze forward—

Eli and the wolf are gone.

A thin smirk curls across his face.

He reloads his pistol, the metallic click echoing softly,

and begins to walk slowly into the smoke,

his red blood cloak billowing behind him as he disappears into the chaos.

Eli and the wolf sprinted through the forest, branches whipping past as they ran for their lives.

Behind them, a massive Black Wolf charged through the trees,

a gleaming knife in his hand, roaring with fury—each step shaking the ground.

Just as he leapt forward to strike—

a gunshot cracked through the air.

The bullet hit clean.

The giant wolf stumbled, eyes wide—then collapsed lifelessly into the dirt.

Eli froze for a moment, panting, and looked up.

Perched high on a tree branch was a rat with piercing green eyes,

a dark hood drawn over his head, black combat gear glinting in the faint moonlight.

He lowered a sniper rifle, smoke still curling from the barrel,

his gaze locked sharply on Eli and the wolf below.

(staring up, breathless):

"I've seen that woman before…its aloy

Wolf (grinning faintly):

"Yeah … that's the Tornado of the Rebellion."

Eli"

Tornado ? "How many names does he go by, anyway?"

Wolf (hurriedly):

"No time to explain—just run!"

Eli and the wolf disappeared into the forest, their figures swallowed by the mist and rain.

High above, the mysterious rat remained for a moment,

gazing down at the burning ruins of the fortress.

His jaw tightened, teeth grinding in silent fury.

Then, with a sharp movement, he leapt from the tree—

vanishing into the smoke below.
