Chapter 91 - Chapter 91:[The Festival OF Masks ARC] The Sixteen Flags

Chapter 91 (Part 03)

The morning sun rose over Castrone like a golden crown.

The city had never looked so alive. Banners lined every street. Flags snapped in the warm breeze. The air hummed with the sound of crowds gathering, of voices rising, of anticipation crackling like static before a storm.

The main stadium built decades ago for events exactly like this was packed to its limits. Thousands of spectators filled the stands, their cheers rising and falling like waves. Parents. Teachers. Students. Visitors from across the continent.

Alok stood among his teammates near the entrance to the field.

His school uniform felt stiff, foreign. He had not worn it in weeks. But today, he was not just Alok. He was a representative of Castrone. A competitor. A face in the crowd.

His eyes moved constantly, scanning the sea of faces.

Where is she?

He had not seen Ceya since she left. He had not heard her voice. He had not even received a single message.

But he knew she was here. He had seen the list of participating schools. KUA Girls' High School was on it.

He would find her.

The announcer's voice boomed across the stadium, amplified by speakers mounted on every pillar.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the City Sports Tournament the grandest gathering of youth across the vast continent of Lemuria!"

The crowd erupted in cheers. Alok's chest tightened.

Lemuria. The name echoed through the stadium, ancient and powerful. A continent that had once been a single civilization, now divided into sixteen independent nations each with its own culture, its own pride, its own champions.

"From the techno spires of Castrone to the misty noble courts of Feilw Land," the announcer continued, "from the frozen peaks of Nordmark to the sun-scorched dunes of Zandor we have gathered here to compete, to celebrate, and to honor the spirit of Lemuria!"

Sixteen flags hung from the rafters. Each one represented a different nation. Each one carried the hopes of its people.

The Announcer's Introductions Country by Country

"First, let us welcome the warriors of the frozen north Nordmark!"

The crowd cheered as students in white and blue marched onto the field.

"Representing the frostbitten peaks of the far north of Lemuria, Frosthold Academy! Known for their unbreakable resilience and ice cold precision. Last year's Combat Fight champion, Erik Coldsteel, returns to defend his title! And joining him is the rising star of women's boxing Sigrid Vinter, whose strikes are as sharp as a blizzard! Watch out for Nordmark they fight like the winter itself!"

Erik Coldsteel raised his fist. Sigrid Vinter stood beside him, her expression calm and deadly.

"Next, the agile warriors of the eastern forests Valdris!"

A group in green and gold entered, moving with fluid grace.

"Representing the ancient woodlands of eastern Lemuria, Greenwood High! Known for their unmatched agility and precision. Last year's Volleyball champion, Sera Dawnfield, is back to defend her crown! And fresh on the track, Lyra Swiftfoot, the fastest sprinter in the east! They say she can outrun a deer through the treetops!"

Sera waved. Lyra simply smiled.

"Now, the speed demons of the western deserts Zandor!"

A group in crimson and sand jogged onto the field, their bodies lean and wiry.

"Representing the sun scorched dunes of western Lemuria, Sandstorm Academy! Known for their endurance and blistering speed.

Last year's Football champion, Kael Stormcrest, is here to outrun everyone again! And on the women's side, Nadia Ashford, the desert storm of combat, undefeated in her weight class!"

A group in black and bronze stomped forward, their presence heavy.

"Representing the bustling port cities of Lemuria's southern coast, Ironhold School! Known for their raw power and unbreakable will.

Last year's Boxing champion, Dorian Vex, returns to crush all challengers! And in the women's division, Mira Blackstone, whose fists are forged in steel and saltwater!"

Dorian cracked his neck. Mira rolled her shoulders, ready.

A hush fell as the girls of KUA Girls' High School walked onto the field in white and silver.

"Representing the misty courts of noble families in southern Lemuria, KUA Girls' High School! Known for their grace, discipline, and ancient traditions. Last year's Archery champion, Lady Elara Vane, is here to defend her title! And keep an eye on newcomer Ceya Elizabeth though new, whispers say she carries a power that even the old families respect!"

Alok's breath caught. He saw her. Ceya walked with her head high, her expression unreadable. She did not look at him.

But Lady Elara Vane smiled at the crowd with practiced nobility.

"Now, the heartland of Lemuria My sthaven!"

A group in gold and green marched forward, their faces open and friendly.

"Representing the central plains of Lemuria, Goldenfield Academy! Known for their teamwork and unbreakable spirit. Last year's Cricket champion, Theo Hart, is back to lead his team to victory! And on the women's side, Clara Dewmoor, whose basketball skills are legendary across the continent!"

"Representing the fiery lands of eastern Lemuria, Emberforge Academy! Known for their explosive power and intensity. Last year's Combat runner-up, Viktor Ash, is hungry for the top spot! And in boxing, Rhea Molten they say her punches feel like lava!"

A group in deep blue and silver arrived, moving like the tide.

"Representing the sapphire seas off Lemuria's eastern coast, Tideshore School! Known for their adaptability and water like flow. Last year's Swimming champion, Dorian Wave, returns to dominate the pool! And in combat, Mira Tide her moves are as unpredictable as the ocean!"

Dorian bowed. Mira tilted her head, curious.

"Next, the mountain kingdom of Kaelthorn!"

"Representing the rocky peaks of northern Lemuria, Stonepeak Institute! Known for their precision and discipline.

Last year's Cricket ace, Theron Grit, returns with his unbreakable focus! And in archery, Elara Stone they say she never misses!"

Theron stared straight ahead. Elara nocked an invisible arrow.

"Now, the eastern tundra of Vostok!"

A group in white and grey entered, their faces hardened by cold.

"Representing the frozen plains of eastern Lemuria, Whitefang Academy! Known for their survival instincts and resilience. Last year's Boxing finalist, Ivan Frost, is back for revenge! And in combat, Anya Snow her strength is as silent as snowfall!"

A group in purple and gold appeared, their movements slightly... otherworldly.

The crowd erupted.

Last year's All Round champion, Rihan, returns to lead his school! And keep an eye on newcomer Alok Fanando though unknown to many, those who have seen him fight say he carries a storm within him!"

Alok stiffened. Rihan beside him shook his head.

"Come on, Rihan, wave!"

Rihan sighed and raised his hand.

Alok did not wave. His eyes were still scanning the crowd.

He found Ceya's face.

She was looking at him.

For a moment just a moment their eyes met.

Then she looked away.

POV SHIFT

In the stands, high above the crowd, a figure sat alone.

They watched the ceremony with cold, calculating eyes. Their phone glowed in their hand, a message already typed and ready to send:

[Message Ready: They are all here. The tournament is set. Begin phase three.]

They looked down at the field. They saw Alok. They saw Ceya. They saw the champions from across Lemuria.

And they smiled.

"Let the games begin."
