"Hey," Frieren called out from behind, and Yulian turned around.

"Do you have water?"

Water?

Yulian blinked, looking Frieren up and down.

Under the moonlight, Frieren looked a bit disheveled, her white dress and face stained with dust, and her hair slightly messy.

It seemed today's activities had indeed been quite tiring for her.

But then again, what Mage would ever work in the fields?

"Do you want to take a bath? There's a pool in the mountain, I can take you there."

"Mm."

Frieren nodded slightly, so the two walked past the wooden house without stopping and headed directly into the mountain.

The moonlight was bright, and although it was a mountain path, it was very clear, so there was no need to worry about falling.

Furthermore, with autumn arriving, mosquitoes and other insects were almost extinct. Although they came for a bath, calling it an autumn outing wouldn't be an exaggeration, as besides being at night, it was indeed a good time.

"We're here."

Hearing the sound of water gradually, the two turned a corner and descended a small slope, and the clear pool water came into view.

"This place is very hidden, there are no demons or mountain bandits around, don't worry."

Yulian said, starting to take off his jacket and shirt, but after taking them off, Yulian realized Frieren hadn't made any move.

"What's wrong? Afraid of the cold?"

Recalling the scene from the drama he watched in his previous life where Frieren fell asleep passing a snowy mountain, Yulian asked.

"If you're afraid of the cold, you can go home and wash. There should be enough water in the bucket for you to bathe. Just light a fire and heat it up."

"A little, but..."

Frieren's expression was somewhat complex.

"Are we bathing together?"

"Well..."

I actually don't mind bathing with you~

Yulian said with a smile, but before he could finish the second half of his sentence, he wisely swallowed it back.

After all, joking is fine, but going too far would really be game over.

"There's a smaller pool there."

Yulian tucked his head and pointed to the large rock beside him.

Frieren nodded, turned around, and went around the other side.

Seeing this, Yulian also stripped completely and stepped into the pool.

Before long, the sound of entering the water came from behind the large rock.

Along with it came Frieren's voice.

"No peeking."

Peeking?

Peeking at what?

I have no interest in an "old hag" who has lived for over a thousand years!

Yulian silently climbed down from the large rock he had halfway ascended and started scrubbing himself.

Because it was deep in the mountains, Yulian only occasionally came here when collecting herbs for the old village doctor. Most of the time, Yulian bathed with hot water by himself in the wooden house.

Compared to the two, bathing in this mountain pool was naturally more comfortable.

Not long after.

"I'm done."

From behind the large rock, Frieren's voice came.

"Me too..."

Yulian stood up from the pool, ready to go ashore and put on his clothes, but he was stunned looking at the dirty clothes.

"Are you ready?"

Frieren's voice came from the path, apparently she had already put on her clothes and was starting to walk over.

"Wait a minute!"

Yulian shouted, and at the same time, the sound of footsteps disappeared.

"What's wrong?"

Frieren stopped, her staff instantly appearing in her hand.

Yulian naturally knew the Magic for cleaning clothes, but the key was that he couldn't use it himself!

So annoying, so annoying, Frieren, hurry up and leave!

"Um, could you please help bring a clean set of clothes from the wooden house?"

Yulian submerged his entire body in the pool, leaving only his head out, saying this with a hint of asking the obvious.

It took them nearly half an hour to walk here. Go back to get clothes and come back?

That was naturally impossible.

What Yulian wanted to say was for Frieren to use the Magic for cleaning clothes to wash his for him, but he naturally couldn't say that directly.

And it should be a difficult thing to say.

"Is that so..."

Frieren fell silent.

Even though she had lived for a thousand years, Frieren was still silent.

If it were closer to the wooden house, it would be fine, but going there and back would take an hour!

Frieren was naturally unwilling.

It was already bad enough that she couldn't sleep right after bathing, and now she had to run another tiring trip?

Don't want to move!

But if she didn't go, there was only one other way...

"I have Magic for washing clothes,"

"Hide well, I'm coming over."

After Frieren finished speaking, she stood in place and took a deep breath, appearing on the shore after counting for nearly ten seconds.

The pile of clothes casually placed on the rocks by the shore also appeared before Frieren, looking indeed a bit dirty and messy.

"Thank you."

Yulian, with only his small head poking out in the center of the pool, turned his head away somewhat embarrassed and thanked her in a low voice.

Frieren didn't answer, picked up her staff, and began to work.

A faint light, like fireflies, glowed slightly, then as if alive, it lifted Yulian's clothes into the air and slowly began to spin them.

It didn't take long, in fact, it was very quick. The clothes were already clean and neatly placed on the stone.

"Done."

Frieren's face showed no expression, she just turned and walked up the small slope.

"I'll wait for you up there."

"Mm..."

Yulian responded, and only after confirming Frieren had left did he slowly go ashore and put on his clothes.

"Let's go."

After getting onto the dirt slope, Yulian spoke.

Then the two walked quickly towards the wooden house without saying a word along the way.

Finally, twenty minutes later, the two returned to the wooden house.

"Do we have to harvest wheat tomorrow too?"

Before closing the door, Frieren looked at Yulian, who was almost home, and asked, her eyes clearly expressing reluctance.

"Tomorrow..."

Yulian naturally saw Frieren's pitiful look and felt a little soft-hearted for a moment.

However, thinking that as long as Frieren didn't leave for a day, he wouldn't be able to use Magic to improve his life for a day, Yulian's resolve remained firm.

"Yes, we still have to harvest wheat tomorrow."

"Can I..."

Sleep in tomorrow?

Frieren asked in a pleading tone, but unfortunately, her words were interrupted halfway by Yulian.

"Miss Frieren, you know."

"If we rest more, it means Granny Anneliese and Nico will have to work harder!"

Yulian's eyes were firm, feeling increasingly upright and principled.

"Alright, okay."

"Creak~"

Frieren closed the door, feeling a sense of powerlessness.

Logically, she could completely not go to work with them, but for some reason, whenever she thought of herself sleeping in the wooden house while Granny Anneliese and the others were working in the wheat field, she couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable.

As for Yulian?

Back home, Yulian, dragging his tired body onto the bed, a smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

It seemed that moral blackmail could still easily manipulate Frieren!

Given time, when Frieren couldn't bear it anymore, she would naturally leave on her own!

Excitedly thinking about his wonderful life after Frieren left for a few seconds, sleepiness overcame Yulian, and he fell asleep without realizing it.

Accompanied by a grassy fragrance, like that of a secluded orchid, he unconsciously fell asleep...
