"You may die now!"
The Crucible spewed crimson light as its toxic concept infected realspace—its very presence was the ultimate profanation of gods and living beings alike. The runic blade's edge tore through the void, its cursed silhouette chewing at reality like jagged teeth, leaping with joy for the coming slaughter and destruction.
Where the blade pointed, the Rangdan Overlord involuntarily recoiled. Primal horror welled up from the depths of its soul, screaming madly to flee—to get far away from that crimson blade of curse.
Merely passing through that unholy light caused a sharp, stinging pain, as if tens of thousands of sharp blades were slicing across its skin, sending a bone-chilling intent of slaughter creeping through its marrow.
Fear, arising from the inside out, proved unavoidable.
The Rangdan Overlord's soul trembled, on the verge of fleeing this place of terror. It was as though it had forgotten everything; its limbs grew rigid as if encountering an apex predator, frozen in place, unable to make a single move.
"Kill those humans!"
A sharp scream burst forth, mouthparts opening and closing to squeeze out grotesque tones. Shadow Reapers swooped down from above, fulfilling their sacred vow of protection. Xenos warriors swung plasma cleavers in broad, sweeping arcs, engaging the Doom Marines in brutal combat beneath the Titan's feet.
Eldar warriors materialized from the shadows, executing graceful steps with light feet, joining the fray. The Eldar combatants' rapiers dripped with sickly green venom, parting the battlefield smoke as they sought to encircle and execute the Legion warriors from the most lethal angles. Whispering among themselves, they unleashed their intent to kill with wild abandon, momentarily forgetting the hunt of the Dark Prince.
"Kill them!"
The Lord of Nullity snapped back from its terror, transmitting psychic signals to summon its elite soldiers for protection.
"Blazkowicz Nowick," its voice rasped, twisted and hollow, laced with a surge of smug glee: "You have walked straight into our trap."
"Our armies are encircling you. You and your genetic scions will all be buried here."
It became drunk on its own deduction, allowing its trembling heart to settle slightly: "We knew your power, so we used ourselves as bait—inviting you to step into this ambush!"
By the end, the Lord of Nullity's voice grew resplendent, as though victory were already within its grasp.
"Laughable!"
A sneer thundered forth, shattering the Rangdan Overlord's insane delusion.
Blazkowicz moved through the xenos host, an unstoppable force, his shield encrusted with xenos flesh and blood. His mighty frame turned into a blur, kicking up sonic booms that swept away the surrounding abominations. The round shield hummed in his grip as the drive motors shrieked, spinning the C'tan-tech serrated edge at hyper-velocity to shred flesh and matter alike.
Wherever he passed, he brutalized the xenos with sheer brute force, gouging a path through a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood. Blazkowicz stepped forward with frantic speed, acting like a high-speed tunneling machine that bored straight through the endless waves of defenders.
Behind him, the Doom Marines possessed a soaring momentum. Eight hundred men faced a crushing tide of enemy forces, yet not a single heart rate flickered.
The Legion warriors swung their dimensional blades; with a single strike, both Shadow Reaper and armor were cleaved asunder. They moved faster than the Eldar warriors—sweeping, cleaving—and the graceful combatants were severed in two, their corpses falling limply to the ground. In an instant, the light of their blades tore open a hundred dimensional rifts, dicing the Rangdan elites into shreds.
The three-meter spear blades swept across without mercy, cultivating a ring of absolute death around them!
With nanosecond-level neural reaction speeds, the Legion warriors viewed enemy counter-attacks as if in slow motion during the melee. With microsecond-level muscle execution, they drove their bodies to deliver hundreds of slashes per second, enough to slice any adversary to ribbons.
Eight hundred men, following their genetic father into the charge—an unstoppable, absolute will!
The mental links flickered at hyper-speed as they coordinated seamlessly; no blind spots existed on this battlefield, everything laid bare within the Legion warriors' sight.
They charged headlong! They were unrivaled!
The battlefield overflowed with death as tigers armed to the teeth rampaged through a flock of sheep, whipping up a tempest of slaughter. Wails and agonized screams could not catch up to them; by the time sound traveled, the assault squad was already dozens of meters away, continuing the massacre.
The Legion warriors were silent and supremely efficient. Within seconds, countless xenos corpses lay mangled beyond recognition.
From the drop zone to the front of the Rangdan Overlords, a distance of a thousand meters was covered in the blink of an eye. Artillery exploded behind them, leaving an unhindered path ahead.
The Titan fell as well. Dimensional blades sliced through the physical realm, and the colossal bio-legs were severed at the base by the Legion warriors; losing its support, the titan crashed down with a deafening roar.
Amidst that swirling cloud of dust, the stunned Rangdan Overlords found themselves encircled. Though the battle cries of the surrounding Rangdan warriors echoed like thunder, the three Overlords felt as if those sounds were a thousand miles away. No matter how wildly the tribal warriors fought, they could not advance an inch further, unable to breach the human defensive ring to save their leaders.
The Lord of Nullity, the Void Attendant, and the Apostle of Extinction—the three Rangdan Overlords stood confronted by Blazkowicz, surrounded by the massive wreck of the bio-Titan.
"Have your tricks run out?"
Blazkowicz snapped his shield-saw onto his back and pulled the Super Shotgun from the dimensional pocket, leveling its dark barrels straight at the Rangdan Overlords.
Three ten-meter-tall biological war-suits surrounded him, yet as he looked around, his gaze remained sharp as lightning, as though danger held no sway over him.
"You are surrounded by me," Blazkowicz said, holding his shotgun in one hand and his sword in the other, standing at the center of the Rangdan Overlords' triangular formation.
His footsteps pivoted through the xenos filth as his gun and sword pointed at the xenos commanders, his eyes locked onto each beast: "Traps are meant for beasts, but my Legion is a colossus—we trample your intellect and strategies at will."
The searing wind of the battlefield howled, tumbling crimson sand across the waste, yet the Rangdan Overlords knew not how to answer. The Doom Marines had penetrated deep into their rear, making the arrogant claim that they were the ones surrounded—and it could not be refuted.
The Astartes were like an army of ants devouring an elephant, their indestructible blades dismantling a bio-Titan alive before forming a perimeter to repel incoming reinforcements.
The situation had turned upside down. The trap had shattered alongside the plumes of smoke and howling gales, leaving them as trapped beasts in a cage.
"Can you defeat us?" the Apostle of Extinction demanded, pacing within the perimeter.
The Overlord piloting the bio-suit watched Blazkowicz's movements, coordinating with the other Overlords to form a triangular killing formation. It ignited the battle-blade on its bionic arm, dripping searing plasma from the giant edge: "The three of us possess sufficient power to execute you."
"You should feel terror, not bluster about surrounding us."
"HAH! Terror itself is afraid of me!" Blazkowicz raised his arm and pointed his gun toward the sky: "What do you think I was waiting for?"
"Giving time for a corpse to speak?"
"Space telescopes are currently calibrating. Your deaths will soon be broadcast across the entire system, becoming a blade named 'Terror' that pierces the heart of the Rangdan Empire's courage."
The Rangdan Overlords looked up, spotting deep space warships at the edge of the human sector opening their decks, extending giant telescopes to observe this exact location.
Inside the armor cockpits, light particles formed holographic displays, revealing a full-channel live transmission of the scene.
"You dare humiliate us!"
A shrill, enraged scream erupted as the ten-meter-tall mech displayed mind-boggling agility, launching a synchronized strike at the arrogant warrior.
Blazkowicz offered no reply; there was no need to speak further to a corpse.
His movements were too fast to capture, charging straight at the Apostle of Extinction—the one screaming most frantically.
Phantom images blurred as residual shadows dissolved in the wind; the light of the Crucible transformed into a crimson crescent moon. Red light sliced through realspace with an unstoppable edge. Force fields were incinerated by the fires of wrath, while bio-synthetic muscle and bone proved laughably fragile.
In an imperceptible fraction of a second, the residual particles dissipated, and the two figures crossed paths.
Ugh——
The biological armor groaned. No matter what commands the Apostle of Extinction issued, it could no longer drive this massive suit. Neural units transmitted error logs as systems went offline one by one; the armor was losing control.
The cockpit was falling!
By the time it processed the incoming telemetry, the Apostle of Extinction could not accept reality: the supreme Overlord bio-armor forged by the highest Rangdan technology had been completely ruined in a single pass.
Its mind reacted rapidly, but the suit offered no response.
Too fast!
In that nearly frozen span of time, the Apostle of Extinction saw a hand, wrapped in searing heat, melt through the bio-armor plating and clamp onto the rim of the cockpit.
No! It roared in bitter defiance within its mind—How can he be this strong?!
No one answered the question. The arm ripped open the cockpit canopy, revealing a towering silhouette.
In an indescribable span of time, Blazkowicz had delivered dozens of slashes, completely severing all limbs of the bio-suit. He tossed his Super Shotgun into the air as C'tan fire flared in his left palm, melting through the cockpit's secondary protection to violently tear away the bio-armor plating.
The Apostle of Extinction looked up in horror as the giant figure blocked out the light, casting a black shadow over it. Driven by sheer panic, it unleashed the full brunt of its psychic power in a desperate bid to blast the man backward.
It had to live——
Facing death, the Rangdan Overlord felt the exact same fear and desperation to survive as the countless lives it had slaughtered.
The Slayer's body swayed slightly, feeling nothing more than a faint breeze against his face.
He raised his hand to catch the falling Super Shotgun, pressed the dark barrels directly against the Rangdan Overlord's massive brain tissue, and pulled the trigger without a shred of mercy.
BANG!
Golden light flashed as brain matter exploded outward, a shrill, agonizing scream echoing across the sky.
