Chapter 111 - Chapter 111 Banner prepares to seek help

Within a dense forest in Mexico, the terrain was remote, with towering trees far from human habitation, making it an ideal place for escape and hiding.

Deep within the forest, several thick trees had fallen, their trunks lying on the ground, and a curly-haired man leaned against one of them.

The curly-haired man was clutching his head, as if he had just woken up and was still disoriented, and he must have been sleeping naked, as he wore nothing but a pair of shorts.

This person was Bruce Banner, who had already returned to human form.

In the city of XX, he had been attacked by an unknown mutated monster.

When his life was in danger, Banner lost control of his emotions and transformed into the Hulk.

After defeating those things, the Hulk instinctively grabbed the two mutated dogs before leaving.

Subconsciously, the Hulk believed these two things were very important, and then moved away from urban areas, arriving in an uninhabited forest.

"Ugh, when will this damned feeling finally stop?" Banner clutched his head, which felt dizzy after transforming from the Hulk back into a human.

He detested the Hulk's power, so he wished this annoying feeling would never appear again, but Reality always had other plans.

Banner slowly stood up, leaning on the tree trunk behind him, and looked at the two lumps of unknown objects with green blood not far away.

Upon closer inspection, Banner deduced their original form based on their general shape: two canine creatures that had mutated into this terrifying form after certain experiments.

Banner looked at the green blood, a bad premonition washing over him.

Enduring the strange odor emanating from the corpses, Banner squatted down and pried open the Strange Dog's eyelid, revealing a green eyeball.

This changed his expression; he was very familiar with this characteristic.

"Hulk? How is this possible!?" Banner murmured in disbelief, his eyes wide with shock.

He constantly thought about getting rid of the monster within him.

Banner also knew the danger of this power, so he had always been hiding from General Ross, who wanted to use the Hulk's power.

He knew what General Ross wanted.

If the Hulk's power fell into the wrong hands, it would be a disaster for the World.

However, this scene before him also meant that what he had been worrying about had finally happened: someone had already started researching the Hulk's power.

"Who is it? General Ross? Or is this not the Hulk's power, perhaps these are experimental subjects from others researching gamma energy, but why would they come looking for me?" Banner pondered.

The two monsters had a strong purpose; they were clearly after him, wanting to obtain something from him, and the only thing on him that could be coveted was the Hulk.

Slowly standing up, Banner's expression was serious, his brows furrowed; now he had to think about his next plan.

From what happened last night, he knew that the other party had some way of tracking his location, so he could no longer simply hide as before.

"Am I to take the initiative?" Looking at his hands, Banner clenched his fists.

Taking the initiative meant using the Hulk's power, but Banner was very resistant to this.

It was because of the Hulk that his life was now so tumultuous.

He hated this power very much, so taking the initiative to transform was a very difficult thing for him.

Moreover, he didn't know who the mastermind was, making it difficult to take the initiative.

In his impression, only a few people knew his identity: General Ross, who had been pursuing him, his girlfriend Betty, 'Mr. Blue' Dr. Samuel Stern, who had helped him online before, and the superhero 'Swift Wind Swordsman', whom Banner had met once and left a deep impression on him.

Banner currently did not know about the existence of S.H.I.E.L.D., so in his impression, only these few people knew he was the Hulk.

Could the mastermind be them?

Banner pondered this possibility, and in his heart, the biggest suspect was General Ross.

As for the other three, his girlfriend Betty was directly excluded.

As for Dr. Samuel Stern, because General Ross's actions had preempted Banner's visit to Samuel Stern that day, Banner did not know that Samuel Stern had secretly copied many samples of the blood he sent.

So, in his heart, Samuel Stern was still the friend who helped him find a way to eliminate the Hulk's power.

And the last, 'Swift Wind Swordsman', to be honest, Banner did not understand him.

He had only heard from his girlfriend that this was a superhero like Iron Man, and Banner was deeply impressed by his high-tech armor.

The other party's technology clearly surpassed this era, and Banner was unsure if such a person would still covet the Hulk's power.

"Oh, right, I remember he gave me a business card last time." Banner suddenly recalled the incident when he and Betty encountered Swift Wind Swordsman in an alley last time.

The other party had given him a business card, and what the other party said left a deep impression on him, because the other party clearly stated that he needed his wisdom, not the Hulk's power.

However, Banner looked at himself, wearing only a pair of shorts, feeling a bit helpless.

All his belongings were in his previous residence in the city.

At that time, because of the mutated dog's attack, he directly transformed into the Hulk and didn't have time to pack his things, so he didn't know if they were still there.

Fortunately, Banner was a genius; he had already memorized a short phone number before.

Now, as long as he returned to the city, he could contact that superhero through a public phone.

Banner was also taking a gamble, betting that the superhero was not the mastermind, and that the other party's power was strong, perhaps able to help him.

His current situation was very dangerous; the other party could send new monsters to capture him at any time.

"While it's still light, let's quickly leave the forest." Banner took a final look at the two corpses on the ground, found some leaves to cover them, and then, using his knowledge as a Dr., determined his current direction and walked towards the edge of the forest.

Near evening, Banner finally walked out of the forest and arrived at a populated area.

Because he was only wearing a pair of shorts, the people around him looked at Banner with strange eyes, but Banner was used to it.

He had experienced this many times before.

He found a house that had clothes hanging outside its door, and then skillfully took the family's clothes.

After putting on the clothes, Banner tried to go to his previous residence.

After spending some time to reach his destination, Banner realized that the place had become a ruin and had been cordoned off.

This made Banner dare not approach that area and turned away, keeping his distance.

He was now a bit stressed by such official organizations.

After moving away from that area, Banner came to a phone booth, but he suddenly remembered something: he was now penniless and couldn't use a public phone.

However, he also had a solution, which was to ask passersby around him to borrow a phone.

So, Banner began to ask passersby for help, using the excuse that his phone was lost, and asked to borrow their phone.

After a short while, a kind person finally agreed to lend Banner their mobile phone.

Banner took the phone and began to dial the number he remembered.

As Banner waited with some tension, the call connected, and then a voice came through.

"Dr. Banner, hello."
