Chapter 99 - Chapter 99 Tony's "Destroyer" Suit

"Jarvis, prepare to begin the 52nd experiment."

Tony Stark's Villa was located by the sea, and his laboratory was underground. Tony was currently busy with something next to the underground laboratory.

If someone were to visit Tony here, they would find that the temperature was much higher than outside, and they would be sweating profusely after just a few seconds.

Tony was wearing a black vest, wiping sweat from his face with a towel, and the Arc Reactor on his chest emitted a blue glow through his clothes.

As for why the temperature here was so high, the reason was a large furnace in the corner of the room where Tony was currently located. All the heat in the room emanated from this furnace.

The basement of Tony's Villa originally did not have this furnace. This was all due to the Destroyer Armor wreckage he brought back from the New Mexico town last time.

Ever since he brought back the Destroyer Armor wreckage, Tony had been researching it day and night. This was Tony's personality; once he encountered something that interested him, he couldn't stop.

Later, he tried to melt part of the Destroyer Armor wreckage and found that his small furnace in the laboratory couldn't reach the melting point required by this piece of Destroyer Armor wreckage.

This greatly surprised Tony. The metal with the highest melting point on Earth was tungsten, with a melting point of up to 3422℃, and his small furnace could reach a maximum temperature of 5000℃.

However, those mysterious metals still hadn't melted. This situation made Tony even more interested in this strange metal.

So, Tony temporarily converted the garage next to the laboratory into a smelting plant and built a furnace with a very high temperature limit.

The cars originally in the garage were temporarily moved outside by Tony. Those vehicles were his collectibles.

Although he had donated all his antique collections when he thought he was about to die, he still kept these cars, which showed their importance in Tony's heart.

After the furnace was built, he put smaller pieces of Destroyer Armor wreckage into it and gradually increased the furnace temperature, hoping to test the melting point of the mysterious metal that made up the Destroyer Armor.

It wasn't until the furnace temperature reached a high of 50000℃ (Marvel setting) that these metals successfully melted.

After these mysterious metals successfully melted, Tony tried to use them to create a new Iron Man Suit.

After experiencing so many things, Tony also yearned to create a more powerful armor.

Nanotechnology could not be developed in a short time, so he set his sights on the Destroyer Armor.

He had already witnessed the power of this Destroyer Armor at the time, and if he could thoroughly research it, perhaps his own armor could also be greatly improved.

However, after so many days of exploration, he still hadn't figured out how such an empty shell armor became so powerful.

He knew nothing about magic, so his research into the Destroyer's principles had stalled.

Although he couldn't figure out the principle, he still melted all the wreckage to make a brand new suit.

Tony guessed that the Destroyer Armor's power was driven by magic, and although he didn't have magic, Tony believed that perhaps the energy from the Arc Reactor on his chest could also drive these magic metals to unleash extraordinary power.

After creating the new armor, he began experimenting with using energy to try and activate the power of those mysterious metals.

uru has the characteristics of being hard and having a strong affinity with magic.

If forged by master craftsmen like the Dwarves using powerful techniques, it can create powerful magic weapons, and even sentient weapons, such as Mjolnir and Stormbreaker.

However, ordinary uru does not have such special effects, but the uru Tony is currently using is not ordinary.

This was melted from the Destroyer Armor wreckage. The Destroyer Armor was a powerful armor forged by the Dwarves for Odin, and its effects were certainly not ordinary.

Therefore, if its hidden power could be activated, Tony's armor's power would be greatly enhanced.

"Alright, sir, beginning the 52nd experiment now."

Tony wiped the sweat from his face, his eyes fixed on the brand new armor in front of him.

Many connecting wires were attached around the armor, which were used to measure the energy value required to activate the armor.

Tony had already conducted 51 experiments, and with each experiment, he felt he was getting closer and closer to his goal.

"Crackle~"

The connecting wires behind the suit began to emit blue light, and the Arc Reactor on the armor's chest also lit up.

In Tony's slightly nervous and expectant gaze, glowing mysterious characters began to appear on the armor's White surface.

After Tony learned that Norse mythology might actually exist, he had researched some aspects of Norse mythology, so he recognized what these mysterious characters were: Runes from Norse mythology.

The Runes began to spread over the suit, emitting a mysterious glow, until they covered the last blank part of the armor.

Then, the Runes suddenly all disappeared, followed by a huge energy fluctuation that suddenly spread out from the armor, impacting the entire room.

"Shit!"

Tony quickly crouched down, hiding behind a table, avoiding the impact that he didn't know why it appeared.

Under this impact, some small equipment in the room were directly blown to the ground. Fortunately, the furnace was quite large, otherwise, this place would have been ruined.

After the wave passed, Tony stood up and looked at his new armor.

This armor, forged from the Destroyer Armor wreckage, had a significant stylistic difference from Tony's previous armors.

The overall design of the armor looked very much like a miniature Destroyer, covered in Destroyer-style spikes, but also with Iron Man's characteristics, such as the blue Arc Reactor on the chest and Iron Man's iconic helmet part.

Just imagine the red parts as blue.

"It worked?" Tony asked with some uncertainty, and as he walked over, he helped the fallen mechanical arm back up.

This mechanical arm was one Tony had invented by himself in college, and Tony named him Dum-E (I think?).

From its behavior, it indeed seemed quite clumsy, but Tony had deep affection for him.

"Sir, given the current situation, the experiment has been successful," Jarvis reminded him.

"It certainly looks powerful, this unknown power..." Tony reached out and stroked the silver-black metal.

The surface of the suit was covered with blue energy traces, and the Arc Reactor on his chest emitted a brighter glow than usual.

"Sir, this suit consumes much more energy than previous suits. If it operates at full power, the energy will be depleted very quickly," Jarvis reminded Tony from the side.

This Destroyer Iron Man Suit was powerful, so it required more energy to power it.

Even with Tony's upgraded Arc Reactor, if the armor operated at full power, it wouldn't last very long.

Of course, that was at full power; if it was for normal movement, the Arc Reactor could still support the armor's operational consumption.

"No problem, I'll just install a few more Arc Reactors then," Tony said. This was the simplest solution.

If it still wasn't enough, he could improve the Arc Reactor later.

"I can't wait," Tony said, wanting Jarvis to put the suit on him.

"Sir, the new suit hasn't been tested yet..."

"Nothing is more effective than personal experience," Tony interrupted Jarvis.

Jarvis couldn't argue with Tony and could only help him put on the new suit.

"Oh~ Shit, this feeling!" As soon as Tony put on the suit, he felt a completely different sensation from his previous suits.

He felt a surge of power being transmitted from the armor into his body, making him feel as if his body was becoming stronger?

The silver-black suit began to float in the air, then its thrusters ignited, and it flew out through the underground flight tunnel.
