"Whoosh~" A sound of something breaking through the air cut through the dark night sky.
A nimble figure darted across the dark rooftops, moving incredibly fast. If an ordinary person were watching, they would only see a black blur flash by.
This figure was Noah, wearing the Source Project Armor, testing the enhancements the armor provided him. While moving at high speed, Noah asked Lissandra, "Lissandra, what's my current speed?"
"Noah, your current top speed has reached 120 meters per second, or 432 kilometers per hour."
"Whew~ This speed is too fast, it's one-third the speed of sound." As he moved rapidly, the surrounding objects blurred in Noah's vision, but his enhanced dynamic vision allowed him to react at such high speeds, preventing him from losing sight of obstacles ahead.
After several leaps, Noah finally stopped on top of a tall building. He looked down at the night view of New York from above, feeling a bit emotional. He was fortunate to have awakened his memories and to possess a System; otherwise, following his original path, he would have diligently finished college and then possibly been killed by the Chitauri during their invasion, or even if he survived, he might have been turned to dust by Thanos's snap.
But now it was different. He had awakened his memories of his previous life, knew the future developments of this World, and in a short period, his strength had grown to this extent. As long as he completed more tasks and summoned more characters, when Thanos arrived, he could just flick him away with a single finger.
Just as Noah was fantasizing about his wonderful future life, a faint sound came from below the rooftop. Noah turned his head to check, and then on the display, Lissandra marked the source of the sound for Noah: a dark, narrow alley formed by the gap between the floor beneath Noah and another building.
"Hey, bitch, hand over all your money!"
"Wuwuwu~ Please don't, I don't have much money on me!"
"Fuck, if I find anything valuable on you, I'll kill you!"
Noah watched the events unfolding below his feet. The alley below was very dark, but it was connected on both ends. The woman was probably targeted when she tried to pass through this alley.
The robbers below were two men, both holding pistols. One was nervously keeping watch nearby, while the other was threatening a White girl.
"Just a typical day in free America. Lissandra, scan the three people below."
"Alright, Noah."
"Neck Washington, Black, 31 years old, with a criminal record including robbery, brawling, and drug offenses. Currently carrying an M1911 pistol. Danger level: Low."
"Jack Martin, Black, 26 years old, with a criminal record including robbery, brawling, and drug offenses. Currently carrying an M9 pistol. Danger level: Low."
"Hannah Marks, White, 16 years old, attends Midtown High School. Danger level: Low."
"Hmm? It seems like a classmate?" Noah saw the information displayed by Lissandra. Hannah Marks, wasn't she his classmate? The girl with glasses, he had a slight impression of her.
Seeing that the Black man below was about to make a move, Noah took a leap of faith and jumped straight down.
"Damn it, quick…"
"Bang!"
As the angry Black robber was about to grab the collar of the glasses-wearing classmate, a loud thud of a heavy object landing came from behind, startling the two Black men, who turned around to look. The frightened female classmate also looked over.
The stirred-up dust gradually dissipated, revealing Noah, striking a Marvel superhero-style landing pose within the dust.
"Iron… Iron Man!" The two Black men saw Noah in his mechanical armor within the smoke and mistakenly thought Iron Man had arrived.
"No, Iron Man doesn't look like this. Damn it, are you messing with me?" When the smoke had mostly cleared, one of the Black men saw Noah's full appearance and realized he didn't look like the Iron Man he'd seen on TV. He instantly felt this imposter was trying to scare him, so he raised his pistol and was about to fire.
"Wait, brother!" "Bang!"
The other person nearby was just about to advise him, "Are you high? Didn't you see how high he jumped from? Are you looking for death?" But before he could, the other person had already fired. The female classmate nearby covered her ears, startled by the gunshot.
The bullet shot out, hitting Noah's chest plate, emitting a metallic clang, and then was directly deflected.
The Black man, seeing his bullet deflected, instantly froze. He then realized that although the other party wasn't Iron Man, he was someone he couldn't afford to provoke. He was about to beg for mercy, but Noah didn't want to hear him babble. He directly threw a punch, and his Iron fist went straight into the other person's face.
The Black man's nasal bone instantly fractured from the immense force, his teeth flew out, and he fainted on the ground. His companion, seeing this tragic sight, turned and ran, but Noah didn't forget him either. A whip kick sent him flying, hitting the wall, and after his body collided with the wall, he fell to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
"Lissandra, call the New York Police Department and tell them to come collect the trash."
"Alright."
After dealing with the two men, Noah told Lissandra to call the Police. As for whether they would come, Noah didn't care; these societal wastes, it wasn't his business if they died there.
"Ah! Hello, thank you for saving me! Are you a superhero?! A superhero like Iron Man?!" Just then, Hannah Marks, who was nearby, saw Noah effortlessly deal with the two villains who had robbed her. She exclaimed excitedly, then ran up to Noah and started talking.
"Uh, think whatever you want. Also, don't walk alone on such dark paths in the future." Noah was startled by this classmate, then changed his voice and said.
"OK, Hero! Do you have a title?! Like Iron Man! Are you called Armored Man, or Armored Swordsman, or Iron Heart? Can I take a photo of you?!" Hannah Marks took out her phone, opened the camera, and pointed it at Noah.
"Whatever you want, hmm?" Noah felt that this person was truly a chatterbox, just like Peter. He waved his hand, then was suddenly attracted by another sound.
Noah looked up towards the rooftop. A figure leaped from the rooftop, then flew to another building, followed by another figure.
"Lissandra." "Alright."
Noah called out to Lissandra, and Lissandra, with great understanding, pulled up photos of the two figures from just now. After Noah zoomed in on the photos, he found that the two figures were Daredevil and Bullseye.
"Daredevil? And Bullseye? What are these two doing? Is Daredevil chasing Bullseye?" Noah said with interest. He wanted to see what Daredevil was doing, then said to the still chattering female classmate, "Hey, little girl, stop. Don't give me any more random nicknames. My name is Swift Wind Swordsman. Now, hurry home."
After Noah finished speaking, he rushed directly towards the wall, then stepped off the wall and, with a few leaps, directly jumped onto the rooftop.
Hannah Marks below watched, dumbfounded, and quickly saved the video she had just recorded.
"Swift Wind Swordsman! Cool! I'm going to show off the video to my classmates and tell them I was saved by a superhero!"
On the rooftop.
"Noah, should I clear the video saved on her phone?" Lissandra asked.
"No need, let her be. I also want to experience what it's like to be a superhero." Of course, what Noah wanted to experience was the feeling of showing off. He thought that if one had the ability, everyone should want to experience the feeling Iron Man had, right? The feeling of being admired and liked should be quite good.
