Chapter 3 - Chapter Two : Arrival

The carriage halted abruptly and I was thrown forward by inertia. There was a clanging sound before the door to the carriage was yanked opened. The wind that blew against my face was gentle. It was fresh and pure. I breathed in forgetting that I was traded as a slave. I focused my gaze toy surrounding and standing before me was a bulky man with bulging muscles peaking through his purple armor.

He was holding metallic bindings with both hands and starring at me with an impatient look in his foggy eyes.

The only thing short were the words 'hurry down slave boy' which was not yet engraved on his handsome face.

My throat tightened, I steeled myself and got down. He held my hands in front of me and bound them together with the chains. The cool feeling made me uncomfortable.

"I won't run please just let me walk in front of you." I pleaded. He frowned and said a very firm "No" over his shoulder. His voice left no room for discussions so I obediently followed him as he sauntered into the huge castle. Another guard from nowhere dragged me through the back door. I saw a lot of people working. Some were old some were young. Guessing from their attire you could ascertain that they were slaves.

I buried my head on my chest and walked pass the busy slaves.

The Castle was very huge. It was like a big city on its own. The lawns were beautifully trimmed and the flowers were blooming with a perfect luster. The vines that wounded around the towering walls gave a mysterious air to the already mystery filled castle.

The man in a silver armor lead me to an open space and drew water from the well. He splashed it on me without a care for anything.

He drenched me twice and as I stood there, the cold Autumn wind nearly freezed me to death. My teeth clattered but I didn't complain.

He dragged me back to the Castle and into a shabby looking room. He picked some oversized wear and threw it at my face. I caught them and looked at him with an enquiring gaze.

"Put them on." His voice was cold as he commanded. I complied, slipping out of my wet clothes and changing into the oversized pair in my hand.

"Follow me." I followed him out of the room to another room.

"Commander, I brought the slave." He bowed and reported.

"You can go back to your duty Archie." The commander said and stood up from the table he sat behind.

He sized me up and lead me to another part of the Castle.

It was across a bridge and the building looked like the mortal Castles just that it was more ancient and magnificent. I starred on bewilderment at the marvelous architecture. There was a garden to the side of the stone pavement. We made our way to the huge doors of the Castle.

The guards on duty looked at the commander and then to me. I bowed my head again not wanting to attract any attention. But as we stood there, I saw a servant carrying a bowl of red liquid. I gasped as my nose picked up the dense smell of blood. About three maids in a row carried bowls of water that has been used to cleaned blood out of the door.

"Tell the lady that the new slave has arrived." The commander said. The guard to our left left his post and entered inside. Soon, he came out and pushed the door wide open for us.

"Greetings to the Sovereign! I brought the boy as per your command." The commander went down on one knee with his hand to his chest and his head bowed low.

"You may leave Krixi." A voice came above us. The commander got up and left. Leaving me standing there very awkwardly.

I did a quick scan of my environment and nearly toppled back when I saw a body without a head being noiselessly devoured by a strange beast I've never seen.

"Hehe. " A giggle came from up front. "Are you scared? Don't worry, they won't hurt you unless I give the command."

I fixed my gaze in the direction of the voice.

A figure emerged from the shadows and I opened my mouth wide looking without blinking.

Oh hell! Is there such a beauty in the world? Mama, help me.

She walked to where I stood and squatted.

No! There's a problem. Her height was more than average. Huamns were not that tall but she was taller that any human I've seen before.

I raised my head and met her eyes. They were as clear sapphire blue without any emotions or ripples in them.

She gave me a charming smile and I quickly lowered my head. She giggled again and lifted my chin up.
