Jin blinked. "…Huh. I don't feel stronger."
[Incorrect. You now exude an aura that amplifies shameless behavior. Expect unintended boldness.]
"Unintended—?"
Before he could finish, the dorm door creaked open.
First Test
A junior disciple poked his head in. "Oi, trash, Senior Lin wants—"
Jin snapped his head around, eyes narrowing. And before he even thought about it, words shot out of his mouth.
"Tell Lin Kai I'm busy polishing my future mother-in-law's bedpost. He can wait."
The disciple froze. "Y-YOU—"
The words had just spilled out. No filter. No hesitation.
Jin's grin spread slowly. "…Oh shit. It works."
The disciple fled, face red and furious.

Lin Kai stood in the center, basking in admiration. Lady Yue watched from a distance, arms folded, expression unreadable.
As soon as Jin appeared, whispers spread.

Lin Kai turned, eyes blazing. "Ruyi."

The entire courtyard went silent.
One disciple choked. Another fell over. Even birds stopped chirping.
Lin Kai trembled, veins bulging.
"…YOU!"
He lunged.
Lady Yue Intervenes
Just as Lin Kai's fist was about to smash Jin's skull—

A flash of white. Lady Yue's jade sword intercepted Lin Kai's punch effortlessly, like swatting aside a child.
Her gaze was icy. "Lin Kai. Discipline. Control your temper."
"But Teacher! He—he insulted—"
"Silence."
Her tone was calm, but final. Lin Kai froze, sweat dripping.
Meanwhile Jin, emboldened by the aura, actually smirked at her. "Teacher Yue, forgive me. Sometimes my mouth is faster than my fists. But if you'd like… I can prove my hands work much harder."
The courtyard collectively died.
Even Lady Yue's lashes flickered, the faintest twitch of surprise before she smoothed her face again.
"…Trash," she murmured. "Know your place."
But she didn't punish him. She turned away, robe flowing like moonlight.
Jin's heart pounded. She didn't strike me down. She didn't ignore me. She—she reacted.

Lin Kai's Rage
That evening, while disciples ate gruel in the dining hall, Lin Kai sat in the corner, teeth grinding. His lackeys tried to calm him.
"Senior Lin, don't mind the trash. Teacher Yue only stopped you because—"
"Because she doesn't want me wasting energy," Lin Kai snapped. "But that worm humiliated me. In front of everyone. Twice."
His fists clenched.
"He'll regret it. By the next moon, I'll make him crawl before me, begging for mercy."
His lackeys exchanged uneasy glances. No one had ever seen Lin Kai this furious.
Jin in His Room
Back in his shabby dorm, Jin sprawled across the wooden bed, arms behind his head, grin wide.
"Hah! Shameless Aura is a cheat. I can't stop roasting people, but they can't kill me because Lady Yue keeps stepping in."
