Matthew lay on his back in a wheat field, his child-like body a strange weight against the bristling stalks. He stared blankly into the clear blue sky.
He breathed slow and tense, his brows widened slightly in confusion, "Where... am I?" He whispered before–
SPLASH
A water balloons struck his face. He sat up quick and turned to the direction of a giggling little girl with purple long hair, pale skin and in a blue summer dress with a pattern of pink flowers all over the dress. She carried a basket of water balloons as she takes one with a smile, "Gotcha again!" She shrieked in laughter.
"Ah..." Matthew stuttered, speechless, as he continued to stare at the girl before another water balloon hits, striking him down. As he falls back, he sits back up on his bed in the real world, back in his teenage body, patting heavily with cold sweats. He looked around at the old white familiarity of his room and his breathing becomes slower and stable.
Unknowingly, a tiny red light in the corner of the ceiling pulsed almost imperceptibly, behind the hidden light was the man himself, Doctor Sawyer in a surveillance room of many live screens with only one male worker sitted while the doctor stood behind him, his upper body bent forward, his eyes drawn to the screen. "Keep a close eye on that one, everywhere he goes, everything he does, we need to be aware of it every instant nit after an hour or so," he tasked the worker before exiting. As he reaches the door knob, the worker asks him, "What's so special about this one compared to the others?"
The doctore breathes deeply before answering with his back still turned to the worker, "it's the secrets he has..." he opens and walks out the door before whispering to himself, "secrets that are even hidden from himself."
