When the yellow taxi stopped in front of the football field at the location sent by someone via Line, Glai reached into his pocket and handed some money to the taxi driver, before getting out of the car.
The small-framed person hugged the fragrant shirt tightly to his chest before sweeping his gaze around to find the artificial grass football field marked with a number one, as shown in the picture Panlee had sent hours earlier.
Once he spotted the targeted football field, Glai didn't waste any time and walked briskly toward the gate. However, two large guards standing at the entrance caused him to slow down until he almost came to a halt.
In the end, Glai stopped directly in front of the two large men. He swallowed nervously as their stern and curious gazes bore into him. Before he could say anything, one of them spoke up first.
"This field is hosting a match. I've been instructed by Khun Hia to screen anyone entering. If you're not important to one of the players, I'm afraid I can't let you in."
As soon as the guard finished speaking, Glai felt his heart sink slightly. He was just here to return a shirt to Panlee, not someone particularly important to the players. If Panlee hadn't insisted on getting the shirt back in person, Glai might have already flagged down another taxi to go home in disappointment.
Not disappointed in Khun Prachan...
Disappointed by the guard's words. But since Glai had to hand the shirt back to its owner in person, he cast aside his disappointment and steeled himself to deal with the two towering guards still staring at him. Even though one of them scanned him from head to toe with a doubtful expression, Glai chose to remain composed.
"Uh... I'm here to see Panlee," he said.
"I thought so..." The guard with the doubtful look spoke up. "You must be GlaiJai, right?"
"Yes, that's me," GlaiJai replied.
"Hey, Man... This person is Khun Panlee's important person." the guard said confidently.
"You sure? I don't want to get scolded by Khun Hia again."
Glai watched the two guards bicker. The one on the left seemed confident, while the one on the right hesitated nervously about making a decision.
"Absolutely sure. Khun Panlee told me to wait for someone named 'GlaiJai,' someone very cute—so cute I'd want to keep him in a safe."
Glai frowned slightly at the comment. He wasn't embarrassed because he didn't want to believe Khun Prachan would say such a thing. Yet, observing the serious expressions of the guards, he started to question whether they were making it up. To confirm, he decided to ask.
"Did Panlee really say that?"
Even though he knew that if the guard replied with, "Yes," he'd be utterly embarrassed right now.
;___;
The loud cheers from the football field marked with number one caught Glai's attention and quickly dispelled the embarrassment that had just begun to form. Right now, he was more curious about what was happening on the field. He assumed the match had already started, judging by the time Panlee had mentioned it would begin. However, thanks to the taxi driver taking a wrong turn for a while, Glai arrived later than expected.
Glai had avoided driving himself, fearing he might get lost. But taking a taxi hadn't made much difference. The driver, who claimed to know the football field, had taken him the wrong way for ages.
Perhaps noticing Glai standing on tiptoe and craning his neck to peer through the iron fence, the guard chuckled softly before stepping aside to open the gate they had been blocking. With a nod, he gestured for Glai to enter.
"The match has only just started. I'll take you inside," the guard offered.
"Thank you very much," Glai said, bowing respectfully before following the towering man inside.
Glai was convinced that access to the football field was genuinely restricted because the number of spectators seated on both sides of the field was surprisingly sparse, even though the venue could accommodate many more people. Glai's lips pressed together lightly as he noticed a group of women seated nearby giving him curious looks. Some even tilted their heads as if trying to figure out who he was. He suddenly felt so nervous he wanted to leave. But just then, the male announcer's voice that he had heard from outside caught his attention and eased his anxiety.
It wasn't the announcer's voice that calmed him, though...
"Here we go! The Pisut siblings are about to face off!"
It was Khun Sasin Pisut, after all, who made GlaiJai want to stay. Glai couldn't help but smile when he spotted the tall figure with golden blonde hair styled neatly, wearing a white football jersey. Khun Prachan looked incredibly cool on the field.
And those yellow cleats...
They made Glai smile even wider.
Glai loved the color yellow, and seeing those cleats made him love it even more.
: )
Panlee dashed forward to block P'Fah's front, trying to steal the ball. At that moment, GlaiJai unconsciously held his breath, feeling incredibly tense. He was secretly rooting for Khun Prachan to take the ball from his brother, though he doubted it would be easy since P'Fah seemed very agile. The older brother's swift footwork showed he was trying to trick Panlee.
The student shirt in Glai's arms was hugged even tighter as he mentally cheered for Khun Prachan to take the ball. His almond-shaped eyes stayed fixed on the white ball, but the next second, Panlee glanced away from the ball and looked toward the sidelines...
...where Glai was standing.
"Can he? Can Panlee manage to take the ball from Muenfah?"
Panlee seemed distracted for a moment before refocusing on the ball in front of him. He was just about to steal it from his brother when P'Fah, quick as ever, dodged away with the ball at the last second.
"No, he can't! Muenfah is so tricky!"
Khun Prachan looked slightly frustrated, shaking his head lightly as he continued running on the field. Glai glanced at the guard beside him, who was now smiling faintly.
"Exciting, isn't it?"
The person being asked gave a faint smile before responding, "Yes, I almost stopped breathing just now."
"Then you should go sit by the sidelines to cheer for Khun Panlee," the guard suggested with a laugh, pointing toward a wooden bench where several spectators were seated.
Glai scanned the crowd for P'Babe and Teerak because he had told P'Dom earlier that morning about returning Panlee's shirt at the football field. P'Dom had suggested he sit with those two. Once Glai spotted them, he thanked the guard for escorting him into the field and made his way toward the bench.
The small-framed young man tried to walk to the wooden bench as quickly as possible. However, on his way, he overheard a conversation among a group of women seated nearby.
"Panlee is so handsome."
"Really handsome. I asked Golf, and he said Panlee is single."
"Well, of course, he's single. No one's here to cheer him on."
"Too bad P'Pure couldn't come. If Pure saw Panlee, she'd definitely like him. Totally her type."
"Take a picture and send it to Pure."
"Hurry! Panlee is running toward the sideline now."
Glai didn't want to be petty, but his overwhelming possessiveness surged uncontrollably. He deliberately stopped in front of them, blocking their view so they couldn't take a photo of Khun Prachan. Glai knew he could only obstruct them this one time since he'd soon have to sit in the empty spot beside Teerak.
But because there is only one moon...
And Khun Sasin is the only one in this world...
Let GlaiJai be possessive, just this once.
When Khun Prachan, whom he cherished so dearly, ran back to the centre of the field, the woman holding up her phone lowered it and turned to whisper something to her group. Glai silently apologized to them in his heart before hurrying to sitn beside the chubby-cheeked Teerak, who hadn't taken his eyes off the field.
Even when Glai sat down next to him, Teerak didn't seem to notice. He glanced at the cheer sign in Teerak's hand, with its adorable message and a picture of Teerak, and couldn't help but smile in amusement. Finally, he decided to gently tap Teerak's arm with his finger.
"Oh, Glai..." Teerak's eyes widened slightly in surprise upon seeing him there.
"You came to cheer for P'Fah, didn't you?"
He asked, even though he already knew the answer...
Teerak couldn't possibly be anyone's important person except P'Fah's.
"Yeah, yeah... Who did you come to cheer for? P'Dom, right?"
The one being asked swallowed nervously. Glai hadn't prepared an answer beforehand and couldn't outright admit he was cheering for Panlee. The best option was to tell the truth.
"Uh... no."
"Huh?"
"I came to return Panlee's shirt."
"Returning Panlee's shirt?" Teerak furrowed his brows slightly.
"Yes... Last week, my shirt got dirty, and I had to rush to an important class. I happened to meet Panlee, so Panlee lent me a shirt."
The neatly arched brows that had furrowed earlier immediately relaxed, and the owner of the chubby cheeks nodded slightly. "Oh... I see. But stay and cheer for the game with us—it's fun!"
Glai smiled at the lovely, kind person before saying, "..I'll probably have to wait until Panlee finishes the match because he told me to wait."
"Okay." The person turned his gaze away from him. P'Babe, who was sitting next to him, turned and smiled while lightly rubbing his shoulder in greeting. Meanwhile, Teerak cheered for P'Fah with a sweet and endearing voice, "P'Fah - kick this one in, please - "
"Have you been here long, Glai...? Why didn't you call me? I could've come to pick you up."
"I just arrived, P'Babe... I didn't dare to call because I saw the match had started. I didn't want to disturb you. Then P'Guard, the kind-hearted one, came to send me, so I thought I'd find you myself."
"Next time, don't hesitate, Glai. If you need anything, just let me know."
"Thank you, P'Babe."
"Sure..." P'Babe smiled before turning back to watch the field, as the announcer's voice grew louder, signalling that it was time for the fans to get excited again.
"Here we go again, ladies and gentlemen... Khun Muenfah is attacking again, coming in fast, oh my ~"
"It looks like he's playing alone on the field, haha."
"Is it in? Is it in!!!"
"It's in!!!! It's in again ~"
"Oh wow... it must be because of the cute picture on the cheer sign that gave Khun Muenfah the boost."
"Hey Fah!! Take the ball and go play at your house if you're not going to share it with us."
"Here we go... the owner's son is starting to pout now."
"Quit pouting! Next year, fire these announcers. I'm so annoyed."
Glai laughed along with everyone in the stadium. He couldn't remember the last time he'd been in such a fun atmosphere, but if he had to think back, it would probably be when he cheered during the school sports day in grade 9.
But right now, he saw Khun Prachan standing, breathing heavily in the middle of the field. He had one hand on his hip while pointing at his brother, then half-walked, half-jogged to the sidelines because there wasn't much time left on the big digital clock.
Now, Khun Prachan was standing not far from his seat, still observing the situation on the field with his hand on his hip.
"P'Hia! Play football! You're not playing monkey-in-the-middle, so why are you running after him like that?!"
It was the first time Glai had seen Panlee show such a serious and intense side. Panlee shook his head while wiping the sweat off his face with his shirt. His well-defined abs made nearby fans gasp in surprise. It seemed they hadn't expected Khun Prachan to have such a great physique. Panlee, drenched in sweat, shook his head lightly before bursting into laughter when a senior named Chia argued in a whiny voice.
"We haven't scored a single goal yet, you idiot!"
Glai looked at Khun Prachan, who was laughing with joy, then lowered his head to look at his own shoes as his face flushed when he saw Panlee push his hair back, which had fallen over his face.
Khun Prachan + sports = So hot!
Glai's heart felt warm all over his face...
"End of the first half! Everyone, go find your team coaches."
"Who's the coach of each team?"
"Me and you, man..."
As the announcer finished speaking, Glai glanced at P'Babe, who handed a water bottle to Teerak before saying something to his younger brother.
"During the halftime break... another key player of the team needs to take care of themselves too."
"Okay, P'Babe..."
'Panlee, fighting!'
The yellow text on the phone screen made this sentence stand out. Glai held the phone horizontally before raising it and waving it to get the attention of the tall person running on the field.
And it seemed like Khun Prachan had seen his cheering sign because Panlee, who was warming up on the field before the second half of the match began, gave a thumbs up and smiled at Glai. Glai smiled sweetly and cheered again.
"Panlee, fighting!"
When Glai said this, many women sitting in front turned to look at him immediately, before turning back to whisper to each other. But Glai didn't care. He was used to this kind of thing. The only person he needed to focus on was Khun Prachan, and the only thing he should do right now was cheer for Panlee as much as he could.
The second half of the game began fiercely. Panlee showed excellent football skills. His footwork was as good as his older brother's. If P'Fah's team were to pick a dangerous player from the opposing side, Glai thought it would definitely be Panlee. As for Khun Prachan... you can't underestimate him.
"It's starting again, ladies and gentlemen... The skill battle between the two brothers of the Pisut family begins once more!"
"Panlee's off... He stole the ball from Muenfah, viewers!"
When Panlee had the chance to take possession of the ball, he skillfully dodged the opposing team. Khun Prachan slowed down his pace as he got closer to the opponent's goal. Panlee, far enough from the goal, kicked the ball with his right foot, sending it flying past the goalkeeper's hands and into the net.
"Hey~"
At that moment, everyone stood up and cheered loudly, clapping, because Khun Prachan had scored for his team. Glai stood watching as Khun Prachan ran toward him. The person with the bright smile stopped at the edge of the field and pointed both fingers at him before the rest of the team rushed to hug Panlee with joy.
Glai smiled and laughed at the heartwarming scene. He raised his hand and gave a thumbs-up to the person who was standing there. Panlee nodded in acknowledgment before running back to the centre of the field, as the clock was still ticking and the second half had not ended.
The small person sat back down in his seat and waved his cheering sign again. Once again, the group of women in front turned to look at him before nodding slightly as if they had confirmed who he was cheering for. Although Glai's original purpose was to return the shirt to Panlee, if he were to answer now...
Yes... Glai came to cheer for Panlee.
:)
The second half of the game was still as exciting and thrilling as before. Glai was exhausted from the suspense, but when the match ended, the score on the big board confirmed that P'Fah's team had won. But Glai thought that no matter what the outcome was, the football players from both teams and the fans were all happy, because the smiles on everyone's faces showed that.
After Glai had just returned the shirt to Panlee, he asked him to wait on the field because he wanted to put the shirt away in the car. Glai thought that Panlee probably had something he wanted to say to him, so he sat and waited for Khun Prachan with the owner of the chubby cheeks who is now couldn't stop praising his favourite P'Fah.
"Did you see the last goal P'Fah scored?"
"I saw."
"That was so cool."
Glai chuckled lightly when he saw the other person nodding after speaking, as if wanting him to agree with the statement.
"Yes, it was really cool."
"P'Fah... never brags about being good at football, but when I watched him play, he was just amazing."
Glai nodded and smiled at Teerak. "If P'Fah heard you praising him like that, he'd probably be so happy."
"..." The person with the chubby cheeks raised a hand to rub the back of his neck shyly. Teerak was probably imagining the look on P'Fah's face upon hearing the praise.
"Hey, Saggy Cheek!"
"Hey, what's up, dog-faced Lee!"
The voice calling from behind startled Teerak. Without having to guess, Glai knew it was Khun Prachan. He secretly smiled at the nickname Teerak used to call Panlee.
How did Khun Prachan become 'Dog-faced Lee'?!
The tall person, still in a white football jersey and carrying a famous brand black bag, stopped in front of them. Panlee reached out to gently push his best friend's head. Glai quickly reached out to support the back of his best friend's head when he almost fell backward. Teerak turned to nod at him to thank him for saving him, before turning back to glare at Khun Prachan.
"Dog-faced Lee! If I fall off this chair, I'll report it to P'Fah!"
Glai could already guess how the nickname "Dog-faced Lee" came about. It was probably because Khun Prachan liked to tease Teerak.
"Stop boasting in front of Glai... I've seen you talk nonstop, Saggy Cheek."
"I wasn't boasting, I was praising P'Fah in front of Glai."
"That's too much. Did you even ask Glai if he wanted to hear that? You should stop praising P'Fah..." Panlee turned to look at Glai before smiling like he always did. "...Because sometimes, Glai might want to praise someone else, too."
"No, not at all... Glai didn't come to cheer for anyone today. He just came to return your shirt."
"How do you know that Glai just came to return the shirt?"
"Because Glai is the one who told me... right, Glai?"
Teerak turned to ask him. Glai was about to nod in agreement, because he had really said that, but the tall person, who was now looking away like he was sulking and didn't want to listen to their conversation, made Glai smile.
Glai gently poked the other person's thick arm to bring him back into the conversation. Khun Prachan reluctantly turned to look at him but kept his face sulky and refused to smile.
"Aside from returning the shirt, I also came to cheer for Panlee."
The bright smile on Khun Prachan's face at that moment...
Made Glai forget the previous sulking expression.
"Ah... Dog-faced Lee, you actually wanted Glai to say that he came to cheer for yourself."
"Talk too much, and your cheeks might get pinched off, Saggy Cheek..." Panlee said, reaching out to pinch his best friend's cheek until he raised his hand to swat his thick hand lightly, signalling that it hurt too much.
"Ouch..."
"Panlee... stop it."
Although Glai loved Khun Prachan so much, he couldn't bear to see the cute person in pain. His slender hand reached out to smack Khun Prachan's hand, making him release his grip on Teerak's soft cheek. Glai gently rubbed the now-red cheek.
"Panlee..." He looked at Khun Prachan with a stern gaze before saying, "... Teerak's cheek is red."
"It'll heal... Lee pinches his cheek often."
"Dog-faced Lee! Even if the red mark goes away, the pain in my heart will never fade!"
Glai tried to hold back his smile. He adored the expression and behaviour of Teerak so much. No wonder Panlee couldn't resist teasing him. "Does it hurt a lot, Rak?"
"Yes, it really hurts, Glai." The affectionate person placed his hand over Glai's hand, which was gently rubbing his cheek, and gave him a pleading look.
"There, there. It'll be better soon."
"Mm..." Teerak responded with a smile, one that would surely warm everyone's heart.
"You're so whiny, Saggy Cheek."
"Right now, dog-faced Lee doesn't have the right to speak... You hurt me and still talk a lot."
Glai laughed at Teerak's adorable words before the culprit, who had caused the cute person to be upset, reached out to grab his hand and nodded, signalling for him to stand up.
"Where are you taking Glai, dog-faced Lee?"
"I'm inviting him to have dinner with me..." He said while looking at him with pleading eyes no different from his best friend, before continuing, "Will you have dinner with me, Glai?"
After such a sweet plea... how could Glai refuse? "O-okay."
Panlee smiled broadly before pulling him up to stand. Glai willingly stood beside him, being a good person for the affectionate one.
"As for you... you have to sit here and wait for P'Fah. Don't go wandering off. Got it?"
"I don't get it..."
"Saggy Cheek!"
"I know, I know... Stop being so stern."
"And where did P'Babe go, Rak?" Glai asked, worried that Teerak might be left alone.
"P'Babe went to talk on the phone about work with a friend. So, she'll be back soon...Klai, go ahead. Don't worry about me~"
"Right... Glai doesn't need to worry about thia chubby cheeks. Soon, his favourite person will come see him."
"Of course..." It must have been because of the tone of voice and the expression when he spoke that made Panlee feel annoyed, so he stretched out his hand and gently pushed the person's head again.
"Hey! Dog-faced Lee is at it again!"
Glai looked at Panlee, who was laughing happily. "I'm going now."
"Go ahead... I'm tired of Lee's dog face. He likes to tease."
"I'll go first, Rak."
"Okay, see you later, Glai."
"Alright."
Glai waved goodbye to the owner of the chubby cheeks who smiled at him, then followed the tall person who held his hand and led him out of the football field. If it were before, Glai's heart would have raced being held by Khun Prachan's hand like this. However, now he has some immunity, so his heart didn't race anymore. But he still felt warm in his heart every time we held hands....
"Khun Glai... can I stop by the bathroom to take a shower before we go eat?"
"Eh, shower?" Glai replied in surprise, looking at the tall person's bag.
"Yes... after Lee finishes playing football, I have to shower before doing anything else..." Khun Prachan said, glancing at him before continuing, "I don't want to go eat with you, Khun Glai, while I smell like sweat."
Glai sniffed the air, as if trying to smell it, then answered honestly, "Panlee doesn't smell."
"But it used to smell better, right?"
Ah... usually, Khun Prachan smells wonderfully fragrant.
"Don't worry about it, Panlee. I'm okay."
"Lee needs about twenty minutes, Glai... I'll hurry and shower as quickly as possible."
It must have been the pleading look in the tall person's eyes that made Glai nod in agreement, "Mm."
...
When they arrived at the bathroom behind the football field, Panlee led Glai inside. The atmosphere in the bathroom was no different from the athletes' changing rooms Glai had seen in high school series.
The spacious room had lockers on both sides of the aisle, and a long wooden bench was placed in the middle. Looking ahead, Glai could see a large sliding door in the distance. He guessed that behind that door would be the shower room.
"Please sit and wait here, Glai."
"Mm..."
Glai nodded and sat down on the long wooden bench, looking around the large room again. Glai thought that not many people must use this bathroom because the lockers and other items seemed almost unused.
"Please wait a moment, Glai."
The tall person spoke while gently patting his head, then picked up the black bag and walked toward the sliding door. Glai watched until the person disappeared, then took out his phone to play to pass the time. Normally, Glai didn't use social media much.
He just followed the news on Facebook. If there was no interesting news, Glai would look up the list of newly released translated literature books at the bookstore on Twitter.
But recently, Glai had been visiting Twitter more than Facebook, as the news there was much quicker.
Bing~
However, his fingers scrolling through the list of books stopped abruptly when he received a call from his close friend. Glai immediately answered the call.
"What's up, Pie?"
[I want to bash my head against the wall.]
"Huh?... What's wrong, Pie?" Because his friend's tone didn't sound good, Glai spoke softly and gently.
[Do you remember the cargo class where the teacher said we had to work with other groups?]
"Oh... the one where the teacher said we could choose a group to work with, right?"
[Yes, yes, but the teacher just changed his mind last week and said he will assign the groups himself.]
"Ah, yes, I remember."
[Just now... the teacher posted the list of groups on Facebook.]
"The Facebook group for this class, right?"
[Yes, yes.]
"Why didn't mine notify? Normally, whenever the teacher posts something, I'll always get notifications."
[It didn't notify because we'd get a headache if it did... but we'll still get a headache anyway.]
"..."
[Our group got paired with New's group. There's New, Thot, Orn, and the usual people.]
"Oh..." Glai whispered in disbelief before trying to accept the information he just received. "...If the teacher pairs us, we probably can't ask to change."
[See... this is why I have a headache. Last time, Win tried to change groups because he had problems with his teammates, and the teacher scolded him badly.]
"I guess there's nothing we can do but accept it, Pie. We just have to do our part well... I hope that group can separate work from personal issues."
[...]
"When we're working, we should forget about our past problems and focus only on the work. After the work is done, we go back to being like we were before."
[They probably have a headache just like we do.]
Glai smiled lightly before asking, "Has May found out yet?"
[She already knows. May even messaged to say she will create the group chat for us because she still has New's contact. After the teacher posts the topic tomorrow, she'll let us distribute the work.]
"Okay... when May sets up the group, she can invite me in."
[Okay, okay. I'll talk to May now.]
"Alright."
[Sorry for disturbing you on your day off, Glai, but this really couldn't be done through Line. I had to call.]
Glai laughed because of his friend's serious yet weary voice. "It's okay. You can call me anytime."
[Okay.]
After hanging up with his close friend, Glai sighed lightly. Just thinking about dealing with those three made him feel tired already. But he thought that this project would go well. Glai would do his part to the best of his ability.
Ding~
Glai looked at his phone when he heard a notification from the Line app. His fingers swiped the screen to accept the invitation to join the group chat. Once inside, he saw that all members had already joined.
MaMay: Everyone's in now.
MaMay: Tomorrow the teacher will post the topic, then Glai can distribute the work to everyone.
Newz: ok
He looked at New's short reply and shook his head lightly. Even though New didn't seem willing to work together, at least Glai felt relieved that the other party responded. Other groups probably felt the same way as his.
Just do your part well... once the work is done, everyone will go back to their separate ways. Glai exited the chat room when there was nothing important left, then turned to look behind him when he heard the sliding door open. At that moment, he saw the tall person drying his damp blonde hair with a towel. Khun Prachan was wearing a navy blue shirt with small white leaf patterns and black jeans. Glai didn't feel the heat at all... if only Khun Prachan had buttoned his shirt properly before coming out of the shower.
Since he didn't button it up at all, it revealed his strong chest and abs that made the fans in the field cheer. Panlee walked over and sat down next to him. Glai looked away from the other person and bit his lip tightly, then lowered his gaze. The heat in his body quickly spread from his ears down to his toes.
Glai didn't think anything inappropriate...
He just felt shy because he had never seen anyone like this before.
"Who were you chatting with on Line earlier?... The notification didn't stop."
"Eh... it was my friend." Glai replied without looking at the other person.
"Really your friend?~"
"Mm... really my friend."
A soft laugh and the usual fragrance made Glai want to run out of the bathroom. He didn't know how much longer he could hide his feelings. Without needing a mirror, Glai could already tell that his ears and cheeks must be bright red.
"Glai... yesterday, Lee went to buy soccer shoes and happened to see this..." The person who tempted him with something held it up for him to see despite Glai still feeling shy. "What is it?"
Panlee took something out of his black bag—a notebook with a small rabbit sitting on a crescent moon. It was held out in front of Glai. Glai couldn't help but smile and looked up to meet Khun Prachan's eyes.
"It's a notebook... Lee saw it and..."
"..."
"Missing Khun Glai."
"..."
"So Lee bought it for you... I hope you like it, Khun Glai."
"I like it..." Glai said while giving a smile to Khun Prachan.
"Do you usually write anything in a notebook, Khun Glai?"
"Mostly, I always carry a notebook with me because I like to write important tasks down in it."
"Oh... then that's good."
"..."
"From now on, you will be carrying this notebook with you to class."
Glai nodded with a small gesture. "..."
"Whenever you see this notebook, you have to think of Lee, okay?"
Glai laughed before saying, "Is this the exchange condition?"
"No, it's not... When you see the notebook, you should think of Lee. That's something you should do every day."
"..."
"But the real exchange condition is..." Panlee pulled the notebook back to his chest before giving a sly smile. "You have to do the bunny eyes for Lee first."
Glai's eyes widened a bit before he said, "Do the bunny eyes?"
"Yes... do the bunny eyes like the bunny sticker you sent to Lee on Line."
Khun Prachan must really like the bunny doing the bunny eyes. Glai thought... If he could imitate that bunny as best as possible, maybe Khun Prachan might like him a little too. Glai never imagined that one day he would have to compete with his favourite Line sticker, but to make Khun Prachan impressed with him, Glai decided to do what was requested.
Glai took a deep breath before meeting Khun Prachan's gaze, who was smiling. At that moment, Glai blinked twice to make the bunny eyes and sent them to him. Panlee laughed happily, his big hand gently squeezing Glai's nose, something he liked to do, before handing him the notebook and softly saying,
"That's cute..."
"Thank you, Panlee."
"Can you change the thank you into another bunny eyes, one more time?"
Glai was always a good boy for Khun Prachan. He took his eyes off the notebook he had just received and did the bunny eyes for Khun Prachan once more. "This is the last time."
"Okay."
Panlee said, laughing, before lowering his head to button his shirt. Glai secretly looked at Khun Prachan, who had a smile on his face, thinking to himself...
I never thought... we'd be this close.
And I can't believe... Glai Jai could make Khun Prachan smile.
