Chapter 33 - 33

Let's go, time to eat."

Harvey said casually when he saw Tony Stark understood.

"Okay."

Tony Stark nodded at his words.

This time, the two went directly to the dining area on the second floor.

Tony Stark would prepare many delicious dishes for the New Year.

This time, he prepared even more because he was going to see Harvey Anberaka for the New Year.

However, after meeting Harvey Anberaka, he also had someone prepare two more full beef banquets, so these few tables were not enough to hold everything; it was like eating at a lavish buffet.

"Mr. Harvey Anberaka, the full beef banquet will take more than half an hour to prepare, so let's eat these first. The plates are over there."

Pepper said with a smile when she saw Tony and Harvey Anberaka come up from downstairs.

Although Pepper was very shocked when she first saw him, she calmed down when she saw Harvey effortlessly eat a dinner for a hundred people.

This gave Pepper a new understanding of Harvey Anberaka's appetite.

This time, hearing that Tony specially prepared two extra full beef banquets for him, she was no longer surprised.

"Mmm, thank you, Miss Pepper."

Harvey smiled at her words and nodded in acknowledgment.

"Hurry up and eat, another guest will be arriving later."

Tony Stark said casually as he picked up a plate and began to choose the food he wanted to eat.

Then Tony Stark went and sat down at a nearby table.

"Another guest is coming? Male or female?"

Pepper also didn't stand on ceremony, directly starting to pick her favorite dishes and coming to the table. Hearing Tony's words, she asked curiously.

Harvey Anberaka, on the other hand, directly picked up two plates, filled them for himself, and sat down at the table.

"It's Coulson. He's bringing me something later."

Tony Stark said casually at her words.

"What did you two talk about downstairs every time?"

"Why is Coulson involved again this time?"

"Isn't he an Agent who specializes in handling strange occurrences?"

"Could what you talked about be related to strange occurrences? Can you tell me?"

Hearing these words, Pepper felt completely in the dark and was incredibly curious.

Pepper and Tony, like him, were both quite talkative.

"Don't you have many things you want to ask Harvey Anberaka?"

Tony Stark immediately shifted the topic to Harvey.

"Mr. Harvey Anberaka, you're in the stock and real estate business, right?"

Seeing that Tony didn't want to discuss this topic, Pepper's beautiful eyes flashed, and she wisely didn't press further, looking at Harvey instead.

"Strictly speaking, I'm in stocks; real estate is just a side business."

"Because I don't have many connections with the Military, I can't directly obtain development permits to develop land. I can only casually buy some properties and wait for them to appreciate."

Harvey swallowed the food in his mouth first, then spoke.

"…"

Pepper was momentarily speechless when she heard the word 'casually'.

"His values and behavioral logic are beyond even my comprehension, so Pepper, you don't need to dwell on it."

Tony Stark said, glancing at Harvey.

Harvey Anberaka owns over a hundred properties worth more than ten million U.S. dollars each, spread across various states in America.

Especially the mansion where Harvey frequently resides, although he hasn't been inside the house, judging from the land area, decor, and various facilities, it's worth at least hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars.

Among them, Harvey Anberaka has the most properties in New York, with as many as fifty-seven Villas and mansions.

Tony could understand Harvey Anberaka buying some Villas in other states and cities.

Because having property means that no matter which city you go to, you have a comfortable place to live.

However, buying so many in New York, he couldn't fully comprehend.

America is still continuously developing, especially the city of New York, where property values are constantly appreciating. It's not impossible to buy them specifically for appreciation.

However, given Harvey Anberaka's keen eye for stocks, if the money used for real estate were invested in stocks, he could earn much more.

But it was also thanks to the numerous properties under Harvey Anberaka's name that almost everyone believed Harvey Anberaka was in stocks and real estate.

So Tony Stark could only convince himself that Harvey Anberaka simply wanted to be more low-key and less conspicuous.

"Alright, Mr. Harvey Anberaka, several people have asked me to inquire with you."

"What exactly would it take for you to attend the banquets they host?"

Pepper was a little surprised by Tony's words, but she didn't dwell on the previous question and asked politely.

"I've been receiving a lot of invitations recently and it's quite bothersome."

"Please help me convey to them, Miss Pepper."

"I also have many things to attend to on a daily basis, so please ask them not to send me meaningless invitations."

Harvey said seriously.

"I will convey it tactfully for you."

Pepper was stunned for a moment upon hearing the words, which clearly conveyed refusal, then reacted and agreed with a smile.

Rumor in New York had it that Harvey Anberaka was also a playboy, but now it seemed the rumor wasn't entirely true.

At least it was certain that Harvey Anberaka had no interest in some young wealthy women in New York.

"Mmm, thank you for your trouble, Miss Pepper."

Harvey also responded politely at her words.

He carried his empty plate and continued to walk towards the tables laden with food.

"Tony, does Mr. Harvey Anberaka actually dislike me?"

Pepper saw Harvey go to get more food and asked in a low voice, almost a whisper.

It was fortunate that Tony Stark's body had been strengthened considerably, and his hearing was better than before, otherwise, he wouldn't have heard clearly.

"That's not true. If he truly didn't care for you, he wouldn't be polite to you; instead, he would directly show his disgust."

"So, since you haven't seen him show much disgust, you don't need to overthink it."

"He just went to get more food, it's not as bad as you imagine."

However, when Tony Stark heard clearly, he immediately shook his head and said.

After several interactions, Tony Stark knew that Harvey Anberaka was a very proud person.

Obadiah Stane was directly called trash.

Nick Fury, the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., wasn't given any respect either.

If Harvey Anberaka truly disliked Pepper, he might not even bother to speak, let alone respond to Pepper with relatively polite words.

Pepper looked at Harvey Anberaka, who was picking up food, and felt relieved.

"Miss Pepper, how does it feel to manage Stark Industries?"

Harvey naturally heard Pepper's words, but he pretended not to notice. After adding more food, he sat back down and asked casually.

"Mr. Harvey Anberaka, I know you are a shareholder of Stark Industries."

"However, today is the first day of the new year, so please don't talk about work."

"Let me clear my mind and have a good day of rest."

Pepper rubbed her brow, looking pained, when Harvey brought up Stark Industries.

Now, Stark Industries was under her management, while Tony himself was constantly engaged in research, preparing for Stark Industries' transformation.

And she had to constantly travel, which was not as wonderful as she had initially imagined.

"I don't have the right to control the direction of Stark Industries."

"Naturally, I don't mean to inquire; I just said it casually."

"Miss Pepper, if you don't want to talk about these things, you don't have to worry too much."

Harvey said as he ate, seeing Pepper's pained expression.

Looking back at Pepper's life, regardless of whether she was likable or not.

However, Pepper had worked for Tony Stark since she was young, diligently handling all of Tony Stark's affairs, big and small.

Facing the arrogant, sometimes eccentric, and even willful Tony Stark.

Pepper might have a 'little woman' side, complaining and grumbling, but in the end, she would still choose to believe and support Tony Stark.

The strong bond they had accumulated over the years made Tony Stark dependent on Pepper.

This was also key to Tony Stark settling down later, no longer being a playboy, but wanting to marry Pepper.

Tony Stark, just now, faced an opportunity that could completely change him, yet he didn't immediately desire to gain similar power, possibly out of consideration for Pepper's opinion.

Harvey had long been aware of these things, so he wouldn't be surprised when Tony Stark asked him if Pepper could also gain a long lifespan.

For Harvey, the more people and things that believe in and join the Void, the better.

Anyway, he could gain Void Energy, and the other party could gain a long lifespan and extraordinary power. This could be said to be a win-win situation.

So Harvey never worried about not being able to win over others to believe in and join the Void.

After all, just the prospect of a long lifespan alone was enough to drive countless people insane.

"I need to create an Ark Reactor that cannot be replicated by others."

"I already have some ideas, and it might succeed, so just give me some more time."

Tony Stark also knew that the reason Pepper was feeling overwhelmed from constantly traveling was because Stark Industries was currently in a period of transition.

However, without a new energy source being unveiled, this would lead to some dissatisfaction from other shareholders of Stark Industries, bringing some pressure to Pepper.

But the Ark Reactor he was currently making, if it were leaked and obtained by other companies, they could replicate it after spending some time analyzing it.

Therefore, Tony Stark simply couldn't announce the Ark Reactor to the public.

"Tony, you don't need to feel too much pressure. We are, after all, transitioning to a new industry, not following the old path. Just take it slowly."

Pepper first comforted Tony when she heard his words.

"Please excuse me, Mr. Harvey Anberaka."

"I just didn't want my rare day off to be disturbed, and my reaction was a bit excessive. I didn't mean to blame you at all."

Then, Pepper looked at Harvey and said somewhat apologetically.

"I know. After all, managing a large company like Stark Industries is not easy."

Harvey shook his head slightly, indicating that he didn't mind, and said.
