Chapter 14 - Chapter Thirteen – Snowflakes and Sparkles

The first snowfall of the year came softly, blanketing the neighborhood in white. The sisters pressed their faces against the frosty window, tails twitching with excitement.

"It's SNOWING!" Mika shouted, already grabbing her coat. "We HAVE to go outside!"

Nari sipped her hot tea calmly. "It's just frozen water. Big deal."

But when a snowball suddenly smacked her cheek—thrown by Mika through the open door—her ears shot up.

"…Oh, it's ON."

Within minutes, all four girls were bundled up and out in the yard.

Snowball War

Mika built a lopsided fort, laughing maniacally.

"Welcome to my kingdom of doom! Tremble before my snowball arsenal!"

Nari rolled perfect, heavy snowballs and launched them with sniper precision. "Your fort is weak, fool."

Sayo sighed, trying to mediate. "We should make rules first—" SMACK! A snowball hit her glasses.

She froze, lowered her scarf, and muttered, "…No mercy."

Even Yua, who started timidly, soon giggled as she pelted Mika from behind.

Their parents peeked out the window, laughing at the chaos unfolding in their yard.

Building Together

After the snowball truce, the sisters teamed up to build a snowman.

Mika insisted on making it a "snow warrior" with stick swords.

Nari gave it a smug smirk face.

Sayo wrapped it in a neat scarf.

And Yua quietly placed a flower crown on its head.

The result? A very odd but charming snowman that perfectly represented them.

---

Inside Warmth

Back inside, the house glowed with the scent of cinnamon and cocoa. The sisters sat wrapped in blankets, mugs warming their hands.

Mika dunked marshmallows until her drink overflowed.

Nari pretended not to like it, but her tail flicked happily as she sipped.

Sayo organized cookies onto a plate, but couldn't stop nibbling herself.

And Yua hummed softly, tracing hearts in the frosted window.

Holiday Decorating

That evening, they decorated their first holiday tree.

Mika tangled herself in the lights. "I'm the star!"

"Get down before you break something," Nari groaned, pulling her out.

Sayo carefully placed ornaments in perfect balance.

And Yua, shy but smiling, placed the glowing star on top with her sisters lifting her up.

When the lights switched on, the room sparkled with warmth.

---

A Silent Night

Later, the sisters curled together on the couch, the tree twinkling beside them.

Mika yawned. "Snowball champion, reporting for duty…"

Nari smirked. "Dream on."

Sayo adjusted the blanket over them. "What matters is that we're together."

Yua whispered, "…This is my favorite day."

Outside, the snow continued to fall, soft and endless, wrapping their first winter holiday in quiet magic.
