Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 Trap in Kemang

The police car and a black red SUV stopped in front of a luxury apartment in Kemang. The night was late, and the streets were quiet. Most of the lights from the apartment window have been extinguished.

Bimo, Riani, and Dr. Maya came down from the SUV. Inspector Budi and a small team of police in uniforms approached them.

"We have emptied the floor," Budi reported. "Only one unit is still inhabited, Sari Dewantoro Unit on the 15th floor. The building officer said he was not seen out for two days."

"Good," Bimo said. The death had scanned the building. He saw it. A thick dark energy stain, like an oil spill on the canvas, sticks to the 15th floor. "He is already inside. But his energy ... static. He is waiting."

"What are you waiting for?" asked Riani.

"Waiting for the victim to be weak enough to be taken over," answered Dr. Maya. "Or ... waiting for us."

"The SWAT team is already in a position on the emergency and roof stairs," Budi said. "Your command?"

"We will not invade," Bimo said. "We will knock."

"WHAT?!" exclaimed Budi and Anton simultaneously via radio.

"This is not an ambush. This is a negotiation. Or at least, that's what he will think of," Bimo explained. "He appreciates intelligence. He will be curious. It will give me time to enter and evaluate the situation. If we invade, he will immediately kill Sari and run away."

"Too risky, Bimo," said Dr. Maya.

"All our choices are risky," Bimo answered. He handed a tablet to Budi. "If something happens to me, or if you hear screams, assault. But not before that."

Without waiting for further approval, Bimo walked towards the entrance of the apartment. Riani followed him.

"I'm with you," said Riani, her voice firmly. "I can feel Sari's mental state. That might help you."

Bimo nodded. They entered the lobby, passing the security officer who had been arranged by Budi, and took the elevator to the 15th floor.

The corridor on the 15th floor feels very cold. Neon lights on the ceiling flicker are uncertain. The sound of a dying electric buffer was heard.

They stopped in front of the unit 1508 door. Bimo took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

A few seconds passed in silence. Then, a woman's voice that is weak and hoarse is heard from the inside. "Who ... who is there?"

"Bimo and Riani from the red line institution. We are here to help, Mrs. Sari."

"No ... nothing can help. Go."

"We know what happened to you. We know about the cold feelings, about sounds. We can stop it. Let us come in."

There is a long pause. Then, the lock sound is opened from the inside. The door opened slowly.

Sari Dewantoro stood behind the door. The woman looked very thin and pale. His eyes are swollen and surrounded by dark circles. He shivered in cold, despite wearing a thick sweater.

"Please ... come in," he said, his voice trembled.

Once they stepped in, the door closed themselves behind them loudly. Bimo and Riani were immediately alert.

The apartment was dark, only illuminated by candles placed on the floor, forming a perfect circle in the middle of the living room. In the middle of the circle, sitting cross -legged, is another figure.

The figure is Bayu Pratama, the writer. But his body looks transparent, like a ghost. He smiled, a smile that didn't reach his empty eyes.

"Welcome, the heir of Daru," Bayu said, but the sound that came out was the same echoing sound from Monas. "I know you will come. You finally broke my little puzzle."

"This is a trap," Riani whispered.

"Of course," said the entity through Bayu's mouth. "The list of daru is a bait that is too sweet for you not to bite. I need a strong container. A engineer is useful, but a fire god ... that is an achievement."

Bimo raised his hand, the white fire shiny in his palm. "You won't get me."

"Directly on violence. Typical," said the entity, shaking his head. "But look around you."

Bimo looked closer. The candles are not just candles. They are made of black candles, and the axis is made of threads that are twisted from the red line. That is a ritual cage. And Sari, who is now standing near the window, is drawing a symbol in the glass with her bloody fingers.

"The ritual has begun!" Riani shouted.

"Not for him," said the entity. "For you."

From each candle, a black energy whip gushes, stretching throughout the room, forming a cage throbbing with dark energy. Bimo threw the fireball, but the fire went out so touching the energy bars.

"A cage designed specifically to hold your energy, Bimo," said the voice. "Taught to me by a very talented engineer whom I grabbed his mind. He understood the pressure and voltage very well. Even the energy of the gods can be shackled."

Bimo growled, trying to break the cage with raw power, but the bars only tremble and absorb their energy.

"Now, let's start the process," said the entity. The ghost Bayu stood up. "First, we have to weaken this disturbing spirit." He pointed to Riani.

Riani screamed and dropped, holding her head. "Please! He ... he's in my mind!"

"Stay away from him!" Raung Bimo, trying harder, blood began to drip from his nose because of effort.

"Calm down, it will be fast," said the entity. Suddenly, Bayu's ghost body shot into Riani's body.

Riani became stiff, her eyes widened. His voice changed, into a mixture of his own voice and the echoing sound. "His body ... warm. Full of dreams and fear. Delicious."

"Get out of him!" Bimo shouted, almost lost control.

"Bimo ..." Erang Riani, struggled to control his own mouth. "Burn me ... don't let him ... wear you ..."

Bimo stunned. Riani asked him to kill him.

"No ... I can't ..."

"You have to!" Riani shouted, with her own voice alone for a moment. "He will use me to get into your head! He will force you to give up! This city needs you!"

Tears flowed down Bimo's cheeks. He raised his fiery hand. The hand trembled violently.

"A difficult choice," said Riani's voice who had been controlled again, in a mocking tone. "Burn your friend, or leave yourself to me. Choose, the god of fire."

Bimo closed his eyes. He pulled all his strength. Not to attack the cage, but to enter itself. He dived deeper than before, penetrating the layers of this life memory, towards the core of whom he really was.

He arrived at an endless room. In front of him, sitting on the throne of the cold embers, is its original form. A god with skin from a frozen lava and eyes from the sun. That is his true consciousness, which is still sleeping.

"I need you!" Bimo shouted, his small human soul shouted at the sleeping giant.

The eyes of the god were open.

In the real world, Bimo's body began to shine with dazzling white light. The great heat radiated from him, forcing Sari to stay away from the window. Black candles began to melt.

"WHAT'S THIS?" shouted the sound of the entity through Riani's mouth, for the first time there was a worry tone.

Bimo opened his eyes. His eyes now are the perfect white fireball. His voice echoed when he spoke, layered in a deep and powerful voice.

"You want me? Come and take it."

He raised his hand. The dark energy cage cracked and broke into pieces like glass, disappearing into smoke.

The entity, who was still in Riani's body, took back in fear. "No way! Your strength should still be shackled!"

"You forgot one thing," Bimo said, floating a few inches on the floor. "You're not the only one who can learn."

He pointed at Riani's finger. A gentle white light enveloped his body. Riani screamed, this time because of pure pain, when the entity was forcibly revoked from him. The ghost Bayu was thrown out of Riani's body and disappeared into a whisper.

Riani fell, but Bimo caught him gently before he touched the ground. He put it to sleep with a healing energy.

Then, he turned to Sari, who was scared in the corner of the room. "Sleep. Forget all this." Sari immediately fell asleep.

Bimo now turned around, staring into the corner of a dark room where the remnants of the dark energy gathered, trying to shape himself again.

"There is no longer an escape," Guman Bimo, the sound of the deprudation is still dominant. "There is no more container. For the first time, you will face me as is."

The lump of dark energy trembled in fear. Then, quickly, he shrank and tried to escape through ventilation.

Bimo did not chase him. He just raised his palm. A giant fire seal appeared on the floor, covering the entire apartment. Panic screams were heard from the ventilation when the dark energy was bounced back, trapped indoors.

"The game ends," Bimo said, approaching the lump of fear that was now helpless. "You will tell me everything you know. About your plans. About 'that comes from the darkness between stars'. About everything."

He grabbed the lump. The white fire forms a small cage that circles around the dark energy core, imprisoning it without destroying it.

The voice of the god slowly faded from Bimo's body. He fell into his knee, exhausted. He looked at a small cage in his hand, inside, a evil presence was confined.

He succeeded. He caught him.

The apartment door opened in a crush. Inspector Budi and the SWAT team entered with the weapons of the end. They stopped, confused to see the destruction in the room and the knees.

"Bimo? What happened?" asked Budi.

Bimo stood with difficulty. He showed a small energy cage in his hand. "We get it. We finally get it."

Riani began to move, moaning softly. Dr. Maya rushed to her side.

Bimo looked out the window, to the city of Jakarta which stretched below. The battle might have just been won, but the war was not over. He now has a prisoner. And a very valuable source of information.

That night, for the first time, the red line was not the party being pursued. They have the initiative. And Bimo intends to use it completely.
