A ripple of confused laughter spread through the audience. The teacher-judge, a stern woman known for her unwavering adherence to rules, blinked, a faint smile twitching at the corner of her mouth. Luke, emboldened by the reaction, launched into a dramatic, entirely fabricated tale of his client's cookie-deprived childhood, complete with exaggerated gestures and a teary-eyed plea for understanding. It was pure, unadulterated chaos, a narrative tsunami that swept away Alex's carefully constructed arguments.

"That was almost too easy," Adam mused, watching Alex gather her papers with a furious intensity. "But the look on her face? Worth every single point.
