Alpha Drey POV.
My heart stopped for a second. I had wanted her to run far away from Atlas City. I couldn't protect her from this duel.
Then I realized I was a coward at the dying minute when Master Jules had struck her dead; my entire world stopped.
Atlas City was no longer worth my protection, my wolf cried out.
I dashed towards the arena; her lifeless, bloodstained wolf greeted me.
Tears welled up in my eyes as I lunged at Master Jules.
I had even flung Anita out of the way; there was something suspicious about the way she kept on pining for the duel. Now it all made sense to me after Becky's death.
"It's against the rules."
They all wanted the duel to end so badly.
Just then that one voice that had shattered my world—I never thought I would hear it again.
"Who said the duel could end?"
It was Becky.
She was alive.
My wolf growled in excitement.
