Chapter 4 - A new beginning

Yang Ze didn't know what happened after that. His eyes got hazy as a warmth that he had never experienced before enveloped him. The only thing he remembered was that his upper body was being hugged by something soft —something fleshy, as it constantly rubbed against his chest.

His back felt like it was being scratched by someone with all their might.

As for his lower body... He felt a soft, warm and moist suction... as if his manhood was about to be pulled apart. But the feeling wasn't uncomfortable... On the contrary, he had never felt this kind of comfort before. For a while, he felt like he was about to melt.

In a daze, he wanted to make sense of what was happening, but only felt a soft hand being placed on his eyes, preventing him from seeing further.

Ocassionally, something soft and warm like a meatbun was put in his mouth, except this meatbun was too big with a cherry that he would occasionally nibble on.

After a certain time, another thing would be inserted in his mouth... this time he clearly knew what it was.. It was someone's tongue that stretched open his mouth and played with his tongue before greedily sucking on it.

The only sound he could make out was the constant sound of pa pa pa pa that was coming from his lower half, and the sound of faint moans as if the other person was trying to suppress it.

This lasted for at least an hour, when he felt a jolt of electricity run through his body. His toes curled up, his fists clenched as he lifted his hips up.

"Ummmm...." Yang Ze felt like he had released something, and a rush of pleasure took over his mind.

After that, everything came to a halt.

The silence lasted for only a brief moment before the process repeated itself again and again and again.

Yang Ze couldn't think of anything. First, his mind was overwhelmed with grief after hearing the devastating news of Lan'er's death, and then he lost himself in pleasure... He didn't want to think... he didn't want to say... he just let everything go and indulged himself in the moment. But throughout this entire time, a hand covered his eyes, making it impossible for him to see anything.

Gradually, after a time, he lost his senses and finally fell asleep due to exhaustion.

And on top of his body lay an enchanting figure of a woman with hair scattered all over her face and her chest pressing against his. As she grasped for breath, her legs were already curled up on his thighs.

Her eyes were hazy as she rubbed her body against his once more before she, too, closed her eyes and drifted into sleep.

-----------------

No one knows exactly how much time has passed.

The first one to wake up inside the dimly lit room was the woman.

She looked around in confusion for a long time. It took her some time to come back to her senses, but with every passing second, her eyes went wide with disbelief.

She opened her cherry lips, wanting to say something, but not a single word came out. She hurriedly patted her breasts, her waist and even her face and after making sure she wasn't dreaming, looked at the boy who was sleeping below her.

"This... this..." It wasn't the act of sleeping with him that overwhelmed her.

"THE CURSE DIDN'T WORK?" She almost exclaimed with disbelief.

Placing her hand on Yang Ze's chest, she checked his heartbeat and, after making sure that he was just tired, felt her mind go blank.

"How? How is this possible?" The more she thought about it, the less sense it made.

Taking a deep breath, she touched the forehead of Yang Ze with her finger, and in that instant, the entire room was illuminated by a sudden burst of light that lasted for a full ten seconds before disappearing completely, leaving the room engulfed in darkness once again.

"Strange." Furrowing her brows, she did it once again, but the result remained the same.

"No spiritual root... mortal body... no cultivation... no special bloodline."

"Just what is going on?"

The boy below her was a mortal. Other than his somewhat pleasant appearance and his height, which was shorter than hers, there was nothing special about him.

How could a mortal like him withstand the curse of the Shen family that had lasted since ancient times?

She then recalled her conversation with him last night, put two and two together and already knew the reason for his grief.

"What a pitiful child." With some pity in her eyes, she thought for a moment but was unable to come up with a solution.

Once he wakes up, he will surely seek death. He had already decided it the previous night, and it was impossible to change it.

That was why she slept with him. In her mind, the bloodline curse of the Shen family would surely kill the two of them. But to her surprise, the two of them were still alive and well.

She didn't know why the curse didn't work. She could still feel it in her body. If the curse was still there, then how could the two of them stay alive?

The more she thought about it, the less sense it all made. Shaking her head, she cleared all the distracting thoughts before thinking of a way to deal with the situation.

If someone knew that she and the servant spent a night together... the consequences would be disastrous. She could quietly leave this place, but in doing so, would lose the opportunity to unearth the secrets of the curse.

After all, the boy has already accepted death, and once he wakes up alone, he will inevitably look for death. His heart was already dead, and the only way to prevent him from dying was to reignite the hope of living.

"Then I can only do that..." Gritting her teeth, she made up her mind. It was impossible for her to let go of this boy.

After deciding her next course of action, she tried to stand up, but the moment she moved her body, she felt a sense of fullness in her lower half. It was as if something soft and rigid was inserted there.

"Ah~❤️"

An overwhelming sense of pleasure spread throughout her body as she struggled to move. But the more she struggled, the more intense the pleasure got. By the end, she was already beginning to slowly lift her buttocks up and down in a rhythm while biting on the back of her hand that she was using to hold back her moans.

"Mmmm❤️..."

Her movement lasted for a good fifteen minutes before she felt a warm current shooting inside her womb as her toes curled up and her movement became faster while a burst of water fell out from her vagina.

"AAAH ❤️"

With a loud moan, her body fell at the top of Yang Ze's again. With her fair breasts pressing against his chest, she opened her cherry lips and suddenly bit Yang Ze on his neck, not even bothering to move while enjoying the warmth of his body.

It wasn't until she felt his penis getting softer and falling out of her sacred palace, carrying a long string of slimy liquid, did she finally raised her head, leaving behind a long string of saliva that connected her lips to his neck.

She quietly looked at him before standing up.

"Umm." Feeling a tinge of pain coming from her lower half, she frowned before waving her hand as a small jade ring appeared in her palms. Placing it in her middle finger, she took out a white medicinal pill and swallowed it before waving her hand again. This time, the entire room was covered in a hazy, dim light. Once it disappeared, the entire room, along with her body, was spotless clean.

She then took out a new set of clothes from her storage ring before changing into them and, after making sure that nothing was out of place, sat beside the window while looking at the scenery outside.

She thought for a moment before taking out a mask and placing it on her face. She wanted him to live, but didn't want him to see her true appearance. After all, Yang Ze wasn't the only one going through all that turmoil. She, too, was going through a similar state.

"Is it fate?" Looking outside her window, she couldn't help but mutter under her breath. Two damaged souls, finding solace in each other's company... clinging on to the last shred of hope to live.

What a cruel fate...

-----------------

Yang Ze didn't know how long he had slept. In his sleep, he found himself standing in a dark place, and he kept on crying the name of the only person he had known and loved... Lan'er. But received no response.

Just when he thought he was abandoned by the world, he felt a warm embrace enveloping him. It was soft, warm and full of love and care... Something that he had almost forgotten.

This warm embrace lasted for a long time before disappearing completely. And once it was gone, he fell into a state of panic once again. He desperately looked around, hoping to find it again... running everywhere... finally, he felt the ground below him disappearing as he slowly began to fall further and further....

Until he woke up from his dream.

"Huff... Huff... Huf..." Waking up from that nightmare, Yang Ze struggled to breathe. It was such a despair that he never wanted to face it again.

It took him a moment to come back to his senses when he finally noticed the place around him.

"Where am I?" Looking at his naked body with countless marks all over it and a sense of weakness that he had never felt before, Yang Ze tried hard to recall, but his memories seemed to be hazy.

"Had a nightmare?" It was at this moment that a gentle voice sounded in his ears.

"Huh!?" Raising his head, he finally noticed the figure of a woman sitting beside the window with a book in her hand.

Her hair was neatly tied up in a ponytail, and her face was hidden behind a silver mask.

From the loose white robe on her body, it was impossible to see anything about her. The only thing he could make out was that the other party was a woman in her late twenties from her voice.

"Senior..." Yang Ze tried to get out of bed, hoping to greet her, but couldn't due to an overwhelming sense of weakness.

"Don't worry about the formality. Just take some rest for now." The woman spoke softly while her gaze remained on the book.

"Senior... where am I?" From the outfit of the woman in front of him, coupled with this luxurious room, Yang Ze knew that the other party was someone of high status. Someone that the likes of him could never get in touch with.

"In my room." The response was short but direct.

"What happened?" Yang Ze's mind was still in shambles as he was trying to piece it together.

"..." The other party didn't give him a reply but left him to figure it out himself.

"I remember waiting for Lan'er.. then going with other servants to see the results of the expeditions..."

"That's right..." It was as if someone hit him in the head with a hammer as the pieces suddenly fell into place.

He now remembers everything clearly. Lan'er... His Lan'er... The only woman he loved more than his life died... She died while on an expedition.

"Heh..." Suddenly, Yang Ze let out a laugh that was filled with sorrow.

Just a few days ago, he was full of hope for the future... He was going to start a new life with Lan'er... Even though he didn't know her answer, he already knew the answer in his heart. After all, how could living together for such a long time be without any love?

He had dreamt of living with her countless times. Getting married, having children... and finally travelling around the world to see its beauty.

It was a simple dream. He wasn't asking for riches, nor was he asking for power. He only wanted a simple and fulfilling life. But now this dream of his was gone too...

He couldn't remember anything about his village... Due to the corrosion of time, everything about his birthplace was blurry.

But there was one thing that he always remembered. It was a single line that was written on the ruins of an old scholar's house.

'What is the use of living without a dream?'

He didn't know why, but he remembered that line by heart. With the passage of time, his memories got hazy, but that single sentence always stood out.

He couldn't understand the meaning behind those words at that time, but now... It was only now that he truly understood what those words meant.

"Thank you, senior." Yang Ze struggled to stand up with a dazed expression. "But, I need to go now."

How could the woman not know what he was thinking about?

"Hmph." Looking at the boy in front of her, who was struggling to get out, she let out a cold snort.

This seemingly simple action of hers was like a divine might in Yang Ze's eyes. The moment she snorted, he felt his vision go black, and he once again fell back on the bed.

This time, he didn't get up. He didn't even notice that the woman in front of him was the so-called immortal being whom he had always wanted to meet.

His mind was just filled with Lan'er's image and her sound of laughter. Every passing second was like a needle being pricked into his heart.

"You wouldn't be thinking of running away after what you've done to me, would you?" Though gentle, her voice was now laced with coldness as if warning him not to do something stupid.

"What I have done to you?" Yang Ze was still in grief as he repeated her words, but with every passing second, another set of memories that were buried under all that grief slowly resurfaced.

As the events of the previous night slowly became clear to him, Yang Ze's face began to turn ashen.

One may not have eaten pork, but one has seen pigs run.

He was naive... not an idiot. How could he not understand what happened last night after experiencing them?

"I... I..." Yang Ze's face turned pale as she stuttered, trying to come up with words.

After receiving the news of Lan'er's death, how could he sleep with a complete stranger?

It was an insult to Lan'er and her memory. The more Yang Ze thought about it, the more he realised his sin. On one hand, he was thinking of starting a family with Lan'er and on the other hand, he just went around and slept with the first person he met.

"I... I..." He didn't know how to react. He didn't know what to say. Things were spiralling out of control.

So much had happened in the past twenty-four hours that he still felt like he was in a dream.

"I will apologise with my life." Right now, Yang Ze just wanted to kill himself to relieve himself from this pain and guilt.

"Oh, I will make sure of that." The woman just nodded in response.

Listening to her, Yang Ze just closed his eyes, waiting for her to put an end to this miserable life of his. But even after a long time, when the expected pain didn't come, he opened his eyes in confusion, only to meet her eyes, which were just an inch away from his.

Facing the chill from the mask and the warmth from her body that was almost touching his, Yang Ze froze.

"Don't even think about dying. First, you'll make amends to me. Only after you've begged for my permission will you have the right to end your life."

"Do you understand it?"

Listening to her, Yang Ze nodded instinctively.

"Good." With a wave of her hand, a new set of clothes was placed in front of Yang Ze.

"Change into these clothes. From today onwards, you are no longer a servant of the Shen family. Instead, I will make arrangements for you."

Yang Ze didn't speak another word but just nodded in response like a puppet. After putting on new clothes, he then saw her waving her hands again before he felt a blur, and his surroundings changed.

At the moment, he was standing in front of an exquisite hall with an old man sitting at the entrance with his eyes closed.

The moment the two of them got there, he opened his eyes and was about to say something when his ears twitched and he looked at Yang Ze with a deep look.

With a nod, he walked inside before bringing out a book that seemed to be carved out of stone.

"Place a drop of your blood here." He spoke in a laid-back tone.

Yang Ze raised his hand, and before he could do anything, he sawan old man waving his hand, and a drop of blood dripped out of his finger, directly falling on the stone book before disappearing completely.

"Okay... You are now a member of the Shen family." Without explaining to him further, he threw a jade token to Yang Ze before going back to sleep.

"....." During the entire time, Yang Ze was in a daze. His every action was done like a puppet without any thought behind it.

The woman beside him looked at him with a frown as she hesitated for a long time. She then gritted her teeth and waved her hand as the two of them appeared in the previous room.

"Don't resist." She didn't explain anything but just took out a palm-sized bottle from her storage ring, inside which were two firefly-like insects.

"Huff..." Taking a deep breath, she opened the bottle and threw one insect towards Yang Ze's forehead and the other towards hers.

The moment these insects touched their foreheads, they melted like snow and completely merged in their bodies.

"With this, if you ever tried to harm yourself, I will know instantly." Though her words were simple, they contained a fair warning.

"Keep the token on yourself, someone will contact you after two weeks."

Turning around, she was about to leave the place before she stopped and spoke in a soft voice.

"Just because you lost someone doesn't mean you too should stop living. Live... live for her memory. Live, so there will be someone to keep her memory alive."

With these words, she disappeared leaving behind the lone figure of a young boy who was still in a daze.
