Chapter 4 - Thought Creation?

When he tried creating the machine gun, he instantly imagined iron to create bullets, oxygen for gas, and hydrogen and carbon for plastic.

He didn't even go into the details. He imagined these things and just created the machine gun.

This made him realize that ingredients were the key, but it wasn't the way he thought after merging with Ken.

It was like he was tapping into the codes of the universe. By using those codes, he could simply create something.

Unfortunately, at this stage, he couldn't fully understand it. That's why his ability was so hard to use.

Despite the previous Ken having some level of imagination, he couldn't create anything.

Of course, it was also because he was trying to create something like water or fire.

But he didn't understand how they were formed.

The family didn't understand it either. If it wasn't his improvement speed, they would've simply ignored him.

Because the previous Ken couldn't understand it, he was forced to use the boosting effect of mana to fight his enemies.

It wasn't that effective, but it saved him multiple times.

Using mana to fight his enemy was the only thing he could do.

More importantly, he didn't even have the time to learn skills.

At least, if he had gotten time to learn new skills, he would've had no problem fighting them.

"Thank you, Second Elder!"

Ken thanked him with a bow.

He couldn't help but feel weird about this etiquette, but still followed it nonetheless.

"It's okay! You should make a proper plan. I will also send you the necessary information about your enemies."

Saying so, the second elder left the room.

After he left, Ken released a deep breath and slumped into the chair.

Death from spiritual collapse!

In simple words, it was a death from pressure, similar to suicide, but not exactly a suicide.

In suicide, a person would want to die. Ken didn't want to die. He just collapsed from the pressure put on him by his enemies.

After five days of coma, Ken fully accepted the memories and truly felt the depth of his pressure.

Facing the world that was doing everything to kill him, Ken had to find a breakthrough.

And, he did find it.

His ability.

Thought Creation!

An ability that could create anything, but was limited by his knowledge.

This was also why he was feeling pressured.

This world only had magic. It didn't have that much progress in technology.

Ken wasn't good with physics, biology, chemistry, or mathematics.

But his ability needed that knowledge.

He needed the compositions of every creation.

His ability didn't need mechanisms or even a process.

He only needed the ingredients and the result of creation.

With those two things, he could create anything, and that's why he had an opportunity to face the challenge.

'I need to speed up my progress. My enemies won't give me a chance to run away. I have to find my way out.'

[Thought Creation Magic- True Flame]

Ken closed his eyes for a moment, and his mana fluctuated, emitting from his body to his palm.

An orange light flickered, and a small flame emerged on his hand.

'Temperature isn't enough to hurt me. But that's only because it wasn't meant to hurt me. If I compare it to somebody, it would be a pet.'

'Pet doesn't hurt the owner. A dog will bite anyone but its owner. This is its nature. But at the same time, if the dog isn't trained properly, it can harm the owner.'

'Mana needs to be trained, needs to be controlled. It's a force of nature, a universal energy existing everywhere.'

'But is my ability just creation?'

A strange thought appeared in his heart. He had been questioning this since he was able to create the machine gun.

He could create objects, but at the same time, he could also create phenomena.

The heat used to create a spark, the mechanism used for creation, these were all parts of a phenomenon happening during the creation.

He couldn't control it.

If he didn't need to control it, why would he need to understand the ingredients? He wasn't creating those. He was just imagining them as well.

Couldn't he just imagine the result?

That was the question that remained in his mind.

'Unless my ability isn't just about creation. It is much more. What if I start imagining my ability as source code, using the mana to create a certain result?'

'Like writing a program, but instead of creating a program, I can create an object of my desire. That does sound something like Thought Creation Magic.'

'Let's try something to test it!'

As his thought changed, the flame disappeared.

[Thought Creation Magic- Object Creation]

He thought to himself as he released this mana and thought of the wood, ink, and plastic.

Under his surprised eyes, he created a notebook and a pen.

Surprisingly enough, he didn't even need to think of the spring inside the pen, but he was able to create it.

Previously, he felt like he was writing code, but this time, it didn't even feel that way.

This made him question his ability.

What was it?

Reality Manipulation? If that was the case, why couldn't he have just done it before?

Creation? Then, why would he need to go through a conflicting process?

Suddenly, he stood up as a random thought came to his mind.

He put the notebook on the table and started drawing.

'What if my ability changed after I become new Ken? After all, three factors can affect one's ability.'

Luck (Unknown Factor), Heritage (Known Factor), Desire (Deciding Factor)

'But these are the factors that have been used in current times. The Heritage didn't even exist during the first age of Warlocks.'

So, he crossed out the Heritage.

Instead, he wrote another word.

Universal Connection!

'All magic spells are connected to Universal Law. So, every ability we inherit is from the Universal.'

'So, our magic is from the Universe. But my ability breaks the very fundamental laws of the universe. Why would it grant me the ability like this?'

Then, he continued to write another word.

Unknown Factor

'There has to be something that either gave me a flaw creation ability or it changed after my rebirth in this body.'

After he finished writing this book, he took a deep breath.

Feeling his mana recovered, he placed both of his hands in the air and started channeling his mana into his palm.

His thoughts changed, forming the image of a dimension within the space.

What he imagined was three four-dimensional volumes within the three dimensions.

[Thought Creation Magic- Inventory]

"Argh!"

When he released this magic spell, Ken started shaking. His veins were bulging. His eyes were turning red.

He gritted his teeth to contain his voice, but a small groan still escaped. With his hands struggling to stay in the air, he continued using the spell.

At this moment, he was truly feeling the pain in his body and soul.

His blood vessels began to burst open, covering his body with blood. He was feeling excruciating pain.

If he hadn't adapted to this body, he would've cried after suffering so much pain.

"Haaa! Haa! Haaa!"

After nearly two minutes, he dropped his hand, supporting himself on the table as he started panting hard.

His mana had been depleted completely. But at this moment, he could feel something in the air.

A vacuum of space that he had complete control over. He didn't even need mana to use this space, as it would float around him all the time.

He took several breaths before standing up while his legs wobbled.

He didn't forget he was covered in blood. Leaving a blood trial, he walked up to the bathroom and took a bath

Fortunately, his parents were in a deep sleep and didn't wake up.

After taking a bath, he walked out with several scars and barely healed wounds.

But when he came out, he saw a few maids and the previous butler standing next to the door.

Seeing them, he walked towards them wearing the towel that was inside the bathroom.

He wasn't even wearing the underwear.

"Bring some clothes!"

This room only had a washroom, table, chair, and bed.

Not even a wardrobe was present in this room.

That was also because they were afraid someone would hide in those places.

Two maids who had previously brought the clothes were speechless.

Seeing the blood steps, one of the maids whispered.

"Young Lord, should we start cleaning the room?"

Ken nodded his head.

Soon, she used Water Magic to clean the room while the other maid used Air Magic to dry it.

"Young Lord, did someone come again?"

The butler asked with a serious expression.

"No, it was my mistake. By the way, we should have some Healing Potions, right?"

Ken shook his head.

When his blood vessels were burst open, he almost lost consciousness due to blood loss.

Fortunately, he was able to hold on thanks to his Willpower. After he recovered a little bit of mana, he used it to patch his wounds.

"Yes, Young Lord. I have one at the moment."

The Butler waved his hand, and a small glass jar with yellow liquid appeared in his hand.

'Space Ring! Unfortunately, having a floating inventory is better.'
