"Hey, brat!"

"This ain't a place for someone like you!"

"Hm?"

Arthur looked up, closing his system interface with a cheerful smile blooming across his face.

"Then tell me—where should I be?"

Shing!

In a flash, Arthur struck. An invisible blade sliced through the throat of the snarling pirate.

With a relaxed grin, Arthur said,

"Don't mistake me for some idealistic king. Sure let's say, a king protects his own people—but when it comes to outsiders? It's all about interests and gain."

"So then—"

"Please—"

"Become my stepping stones."

Without hesitation, Arthur brandished his invisible blade and dashed straight into the battlefield.

Only by displaying overwhelming strength could one secure the resources they desired within the Rocks Pirates.

Shing!

Shing!

His invisible sword slashed rapidly in all directions. Arthur tore through the crowd with ease.

Even though his Haki mastery was only at a basic level, his swordsmanship and the latent power of the Red Dragon's bloodline were already enough.

After all, that bloodline came from a legendary red dragon—and even with only 5% awakened, it was more than enough to take down these pirates.

...

That's right.

Arthur wasn't native to this world—he was just sent here.

Reincarnated into this world of pirates, a translucent screen appeared. Claiming to be a system or something.

The name... What was it again?

Ah.

Arthurian System.

If he gathered enough energy, he could unlock every power tied to King Arthur—

Excalibur, the Holy Lance, Avalon, the Knights of the Round Table, the Island of Britannia, the White Chalk Castle...

Everything.

And what was this "energy"?

Devil Fruits.

The purest source of power in this world.

After fully understanding the rules of this reality, Arthur reached a conclusion:

To acquire enough Devil Fruits, he needed to align with a major power.

And among all factions, the Rocks Pirates, the reigning force of the era, were the best fit for him—not the Navy.

As long as he was powerful enough, everything is within reach.

---

"This brat!"

"You little bastard!"

Watching Arthur decimate the battlefield, a pirate captain—who had already lost his entire crew—roared in fury.

Arthur tilted his head and smiled:

"Then I suppose... you're next."

Crack!

He stepped forward, and the ground beneath him cracked like a spiderweb.

In the blink of an eye, he was in front of the pirate captain.

"Farewell."

With a smirk at the corner of his lips, the invisible blade swept again—instantly claiming the man's life.

Arthur landed silently and turned, his gaze locking onto other targets as he plunged back into the battlefield without pause.

"Oh?"

"Gyahahahaha~~~!"

Naturally, Shiki had noticed him.

Arms crossed, the Golden Lion laughed,

"That kid's not bad at all. Even without using Haki, he's carving through them with pure swordsmanship. Impressive. But that weapon of his… now that's something special."

Edward Newgate rubbed his chin, intrigued.

"An invisible weapon, huh? Interesting."

Both men had their eyes on Arthur.

If they could recruit him under their command, their factions would be significantly strengthened.

Unlike them, Rocks D. Xebec only gave Arthur a brief glance before turning away, disinterested.

At Rocks' level, very few people were worth his attention anymore.

"They're so weak."

"Is this really all?"

Arthur couldn't help but frown.

Wasn't this supposed to be the Rocks era, when pirates were at their most ferocious?

Yet these contenders for the crew… felt underwhelming.

They looked decent.

But when it came down to it…

It's just not enough.

Until now, Arthur had thought the weak pirates he met were just pebbles on the open sea. But this realization hit him:

No—it wasn't just them.

Most of these pirates is just that.

"You brat!"

"Who do you think you're looking down on?!"

"Rankyaku!"

A furious pirate launched himself into the air, slicing his legs through the air and sending razor-sharp shockwaves straight at Arthur.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Arthur deflected all the slashes effortlessly, then quipped with a glimmer of amusement:

"Rokushiki... Hey, are you a Marine spy?"

The pirate's heart sank instantly.

His outburst had revealed something that should've remained hidden.

"Tsk!"

Still trying to cover, the pirate bellowed:

"Rokushiki's not exclusive to the Marines! Anyone strong enough can learn it! You think I'm just anyone?"

Arthur gave a slow, acknowledging nod—before suddenly shifting his tone.

"Fair enough."

"But... It doesnt seem like you're qualified."

"Soru!"

At the exact moment—

Arthur vanished.

Using Soru, powered by his Red Dragon bloodline, he reappeared instantly behind the pirate—and cleanly severed his head with one strike.

"Impossible…"

The pirate's eyes widened in disbelief.

He could even see his own body—frozen midair—as everything faded to black.

...

"Hmm..."

Arthur used Observation Haki, sweeping the battlefield.

With his keen instincts, he immediately noticed dozens of eyes locked onto him the moment he struck.

"How interesting."

"So many Marines have snuck into the Rocks recruitment?"

His smile curled slightly, then vanished.

Now wasn't the time to deal with infiltrators.

Victory was the only thing that mattered right now.

Because only with victory—

Can everything fall into place.
