Chapter 18 - The Human Emperor's Report.

Somewhere within Reya—

Four days after the [LH] Tomb Breach, the Seven Sovereign Emperors gathered for a security summit regarding the stability and well-being of Reya.

The primary subject of the meeting was the [LH] Tomb Breach.

During the summit, the following official report regarding the incident was submitted by the Human Emperor.

TO: All Seven Sovereign Emperors of Reya and the Autonomous Moderator of [REDACTED]

FROM: The Human Emperor

DATE: 14 Feb 1753

SUBJECT: Conclusion of the [LH] Tomb Breach Investigation

1. Incident Overview:

On 14 February 1753, at approximately 02:42 AM, a 20-year-old male successfully breached the [LH] Tomb. The following high-value assets were removed:

One (1) Coregnet

One (1) Spiritual Firearm

2. Subject Identification:

The primary perpetrator has been identified as Frederick Ravenshade, an independent adventurer operating under the employment of Cedric Thornwell, advisor to Baron Aldric Veynar of Dunford.

He was accompanied by two primary associates, Carl Zeiss and Darcy Sinclair, as well as two local residents of Dunford, Joey and Jack.

Preliminary investigation suggests the latter four individuals were coerced into participation under circumstances connected to Cedric Thornwell's activities within the town.

Evidence recovered during the investigation of the residence of Cedric Thornwell, the deceased advisor to Baron Aldric Veynar, yielded fourteen partially scorched pages containing information regarding the first floor and outer structure of the tomb.

The source of those pages remains unknown.

Cedric Thornwell is now deceased.

He was killed by Darcy Sinclair at the town field now officially renamed Darcy's Field in recognition of his actions during the Dunford Incident.

3. Imperial Intervention & Observation :

Upon receiving the Emergency Alert at the moment of the breach, I arrived at the site in exactly 2 minutes and 16 seconds.

During the initial observation period in the wasteland between the Red and White Zones, I identified a subject (Carl Zeiss) engaged in the systematic harvesting of "Little Timmies," surfacing their hides across the terrain.

Recognizing the subject's strength was far beyond the human norm, and considering the unprecedented nature of the tomb breach, I initially maintained a high-altitude observation post at an altitude of 86 km above the subject.

To reduce the risk of detection while continuing my surveillance, I later relocated to a position on the ground 246 km away from the subject. Reaching the observation point required approximately five seconds.

Using long-range spiritual wavelength detection, I immediately locked onto the presence of Carl Zeiss. However, an impossible anomaly was recorded: Zeiss appeared to be engaging in a coordinated dialogue and physical interaction with a void. My spiritual senses indicated that Zeiss was talking to empty space. There was no heat signature, no spiritual pressure, and no soul-echo accompanying him. Given the circumstances, I considered contacting the nearest Werebeast Emperor.

But suspecting a high-level cloaking field or a theoretical "Invisible Entity," I abandoned my plan to contact the Werebeast Emperor.

To resolve this sensory contradiction, I closed the distance, positioning myself at a vertical altitude of 54 km directly above the targets.Reaching the new observation point required approximately 3 seconds.

Only then, using raw physical sight, was I able to identify the fifth companion. Even at this range, the boy—Ravenshade—registered as a complete vacuum on all spiritual frequencies.

4. Neutralization of the Threat:

At approximately 09:00 AM, I identified the primary intruder, later designated as Frederick Ravenshade.

Observing the subject in a near-death and physically exhausted state, I seized the opportunity to neutralize the threat personally.

I descended and executed the subject immediately.

Following the execution, I utilized high-level memory manipulation to overwrite the witness accounts of all surviving individuals involved in the incident.

Their memories were reconstructed to believe that Darcy Sinclair had recovered the artifacts from an abandoned ruin located within the Forest of Broken Vows.

Additionally, all recollection of Frederick Ravenshade was removed from every human affected by the operation.

Immediately afterward, I issued a direct imperial order to the Imperial Librarian Division to erase all official records connected to the subject's existence.

This included:

citizenship records,

adventurer registration,

educational history,

territorial movement logs,

and all other identifiable documentation.

As the subject had never traveled beyond Human Territory, no external records of his existence were found within the archives of foreign nations.

As of this report, the identity known as Frederick Ravenshade has been fully removed from the historical records of humanity.

I chose to allow the situation involving Cedric Thornwell to conclude naturally, though I remained prepared to intervene personally should the ritual have escalated into a greater threat to the realm.

Should circumstances have deviated beyond acceptable limits, I was prepared to intervene personally.

5. Strategic Analysis:

Approximately 1.5 kilometers from Dunford, the group constructed a highly effective strategy.

Cedric Thornwell's range had increased significantly due to the curse.

However, the expansion reduced his precision.

The group exploited this weakness.

At that time, Lyra—the daughter of Baron Aldric Veynar—arrived carrying three spiritually encrypted pre-signed frequencies prepared for Darcy Sinclair, Joey, and Jack using identical omega signatures.

Publicly, the group discussed a strategy in which Lyra would enter through the North Gate while the others approached from the East.

In reality, the encrypted frequencies were used to secretly relay the true plan to the others.

Due to the distance involved, Cedric Thornwell relied on the spiritual disturbances generated by verbal communication to interpret their conversation rather than utilizing precise spiritual identification.

As a result, he incorrectly concluded that Lyra approached from the North Gate.

In truth, Darcy Sinclair entered from the North.

For six consecutive days, Lyra continuously infused spiritual energy into a prepared scroll.

Near the operation's final stage, Carl Zeiss, Joey, Jack, and Darcy Sinclair contributed additional energy to the same scroll.

For clarification:

Strength alone was not the deciding factor behind Cedric Thornwell's defeat.

To my understanding, Carl Zeiss possessed sufficient capability to eliminate him directly.

However, doing so would not have saved the citizens of Dunford.

This temporarily elevated the scroll into the equivalent of a Seventh-Circle Spiritual Artifact—One circle above the cursed barrier established by Cedric Thornwell.

As Darcy Sinclair crossed the North Gate barrier, his artificially amplified spiritual presence rapidly collapsed.

Cedric Thornwell interpreted the sudden disappearance as the death of the intruder.

Prior to the operation, Lyra remained undetected due to possession of a crown capable of concealing spiritual presence up to the Fifth Circle.

Beyond that threshold, concealment becomes impossible.

Lyra remained hidden within Dunford for several days, secretly observing Cedric Thornwell's activities while simultaneously infusing spiritual energy into the prepared scroll.

Upon discovering Cedric Thornwell's intention to establish a Sixth-Circle Cursed Barrier around the town, she departed Dunford shortly before the barrier was activated.

Cedric Thornwell waseliminated two days later.

Throughout this period, Lyra and Carl Zeiss remained connected through an encrypted spiritual frequency whose omega signatures were identical, allowing continuous information relay between both parties despite the distance involved. Such communication was only possible because both individuals possessed spiritual capacity above the Third Circle.

6.Technical Execution:

Darcy Sinclair was specifically instructed by Carl Zeiss to eliminate Cedric Thornwell during the transitional phase between the curse and the Coregnet while the ritual was actively stabilizing.

During this transitional state, the Coregnet activates a specialized security protocol.

If the active user suddenly becomes untraceable during synchronization—in this case, deceased—the Coregnet automatically reverses the spiritual flow back toward the original source from which the user was drawing power.

This mechanism exists to ensure that the true source of the spiritual energy remains unharmed in the event of synchronization failure or user death.

As a result, Cedric Thornwell's death during the transition caused the stolen spiritual energy to return to the citizens of Dunford rather than collapse alongside the curse.

As for how Carl Zeiss possessed knowledge regarding such highly specific Coregnet behavior, I am unable to provide a definitive explanation.

However, considering that Carl Zeiss is confirmed to be a vampire, I believe the Vampire Emperor would be significantly more qualified to investigate the matter further.

The word spoken during the midpoint of the transition was:

"Makdéruor."

Carl Zeiss instructed Darcy Sinclair to fire the Spiritual Pistol immediately upon hearing that word.

The execution was successful.

The Spiritual Pistol has since become nonfunctional and has been disposed of accordingly.

The Coregnet itself has been successfully recovered.

7.Final Custody:

By collective agreement between the Sovereign Emperors and the Autonomous Moderator of [REDACTED], temporary authority regarding the artifact's containment and future handling has been transferred to me until a final decision is reached.

This concludes the report regarding the [LH] Tomb Breach.

The immediate threat has been neutralized.

___

The report flickered across the massive spiritual screens of the Sovereign Council chamber.

Silence followed—

A heavy, suffocating silence that lasted longer than the Human Emperor's sprint across the continent.

The other Emperors silently processed the information:

the execution of "Frederick Ravenshade,"

the disposal of the Spiritual Pistol,

and the recovery of the Coregnet.

No one knew what the others were thinking.

Then—

A voice shattered the silence.

Cold.

Melodic.

And carrying the weight of thousands of years.

The Vampire Emperor slowly leaned forward on his throne, his crimson eyes narrowing as they locked onto the Human Emperor's projection.

Unlike the others, he appeared visibly old.

Wrinkles covered his face, grey ducktail beard rested beneath his chin, and equally grey hair flowed down behind his shoulders.

Yet despite his aged appearance—

The pressure surrounding him felt suffocating.

"Tell me, Human Emperor," he began, his voice carrying a predatory edge.

"Why do I feel that something within your report does not add up?"

A brief silence followed.

Then his eyes narrowed further.

"And more importantly…"

"…why do I feel like you are lying?"
