Odin POV
The Nomu had already shifted through various forms of animals and materials, ranging from ice snakes and an air salamander to its current form, a thunderbird. Odin was now defending against this latest iteration.
‚Well, it's versatile and a pain to kill, I'll give it that. But it's seriously lacking in power and speed' he mentally commented, right as a lightning bolt surged from the bird. He sidestepped it with ease.
Swapping Huginn and Muninn out for Sleipnir, the eight-legged thunder horse, Odin summoned the aura construct. It stood tall beside him, lowering its head in respect.
With a tap of Gungnir, the noble steed was absorbed into the weapon, which then crackled with golden-blue electricity.
"Well then, let's see how much of your own element you can take," the Ring member announced, hurling a massive bolt of lightning at the flying monstrosity.
Observing with his left eye, the All-Seeing Eye of Odin, the double agent watched the bolt hit. It did almost no damage. He concluded: attacks of the same element wouldn't work, even if stronger.
Shoto's awakening, the Odin Force, had granted him the aura property of the All-Seeing Eye. With it, he could turn his left eye into the famed eye of the godfather of Norse mythology, allowing him to perceive future movements, weaknesses, fighting styles, basically hyper-enhanced perception.
His manifestation, the Odin Triad, came in the form of the three animals closest to the legendary Odin, his two crows and his eight-legged horse. He could only summon either the crows or the horse at a time, each commanding one of three elements. They could either use their element directly or fuse with a person or weapon to temporarily grant its power.
Using the All-Seeing Eye, Odin had already identified two key weaknesses: one general flaw in the nanites, and another specific to the Nomu variant. For now, he was just testing its limits and gathering intel.
After exchanging a few more attacks, he decided it was time to end the thing. Strengthening his legs with aura, he moved at a speed the creature couldn't follow, appearing above it. Spear reinforced, aura-infused, he cut clean through the Nomu, first bisecting it horizontally, then slicing it into dozens of tiny pieces.
Both landed in the ruins of the main plaza. Most criminals and thugs were already dead, collateral from the intensity of the battle. Odin watched as the nomus severed pieces failed to reattach themselves and finally lost all function.
‚Welp. At least the fact that aura cancels nanite functionality is still consistent as is with Sensei's version. But this thing also only controls a limited amount of nanites, can't produce more, and is way too dumb to use them effectively. So, anyone with aura should be able to deal with them easily enough.'
Using the All-Seeing Eye again, he scanned the facility. Most of the thugs were already defeated by the students and teachers.
‚So, Haruki, Ayato, and Yaoyorozu finished their fight, and Eraser handled Tomura. Good. At least my class can manage this much.'
He rammed Gungnir into the ground and stretched his arms, just as a familiar voice echoed in his head.
‚Well, I've done my part, Shoto. I lost to the three kids. That little girlfriend of yours has some serious self-confidence issues, though. The Loki guy was fun' Shira communicated directly into his mind.
‚I know. And she's not my girlfriend. Me being this strong probably doesn't help her any. I was hoping if she saw me 'fail,' it'd spark something' Odin replied, picking up his spear again.
‚Did I hit a nerve, little boy?' she teased.
‚Shut it. If you've got no more info for me, you can leave. I'm going with Plan B' he snapped, turning toward the stairs.
'Right, one thing you should know. That kid in the Thor costume? He awakened some kind of lightning ability while we were fighting. His brother, who knows about One for All, was also surprised by it' the primordial incarnation stated.
,I see. Then I should include those two in Plan B as well. Report this to Midoriya later, he'll probably figure out what happened' Odin ordered before severing the mental link.
Then, chanting the perfect Weapon Control Art "Release Recollection"he activated the godly weapon's dormant power.
This granted access to four abilities: the Bifröst, the Asgardian Vault, Nidavellir, and Rune Bestowal. Raising the spear to the sky, he called forth the Bifröst. Streams of rainbow energy shot from its tip, separating and spreading across the facility.
Anyone hit would be teleported back to the plaza. His targets were only the professors and students of Class 1-A. The League? Completely ignored, intentionally left with a chance to escape.
The first to arrive were the three students who had fought Shira, well, Kuroka in this context, and Eraser, since they were closest. Rainbow streams slammed into the ground like divine strikes, leaving all four standing inside a burnt circle of Norse runes.
Eraser, always the professional, immediately snapped back into action. Defensive stance up, eyes narrowed.
"You're one of them, aren't you? The Eight Rings," he asked, fishing for intel.
Odin stepped forward slowly, releasing a wave of awakened presence, targeted mostly at Eraser.
"I am. But that's not your concern right now. Be quiet. And watch," the vigilante commanded, tone final.
The three students dropped to their knees, unable to withstand the pressure. Eraser lay prone, barely able to lift his head.
"Now then. I'll make this quick," Odin said, gaze cold as he raised his spear.
Frozen in fear, the three couldn't speak, couldn't move. Even Haruki, normally the loudest of the bunch, was silent, though still smiling for some reason.
Now standing before the brothers, Odin lightly pierced Haruki's right shoulder then Ayato's left. Blood spilled. The boys screamed in agony as runes began etching themselves into their skin where Gungnir had struck.
"You bastard! Stop it! You're hurting them!" Eraser called out, activating his Quirk, hoping to stop it. While contributing nothing towards any sort of help.
Meanwhile, the boys' other wounds began miraculously healing. And just as the pain peaked, both passed out. The runes were now complete.
More Bifröst streams began arriving, teleporting the rest of the students and staff, except Midoriya, still locked in combat.
Ignoring the chaos, Odin turned to Momo. His gaze pierced her, sharp and unrelenting.
"Now it's your turn," he declared.
She couldn't even scream. Frozen in fear.
Placing Gungnir's tip against her exposed sternum, he drew blood once more. The rune began forming, and the onyx-eyed girl cried out in pain. Eraser tried to crawl toward her, face twisted in rage. Toshinori and Thirteen stepped in, only to be floored by another wave of Odin's presence.
Once Momo passed out, Odin pulled back the weapon.
"And it's done," he muttered, watching her limp body drop.
His eyes scanned the shell-shocked students and dumbstruck teachers.
‚So this is what it feels like, to be looked at with absolute fear.'
"You bastards, what do you even want? Stooping so low as to go after kids?" Toshinori barked, voice heavy with fury.
Turning his head, one grey eye met All Might's piercing blue ones.
"After your last meeting with my boss, you should already know. As for the rest... you will someday realize, that every action we took today was entirely for their benefit."
Then to Aizawa:
"That counts for you too, Eraser."
With his job done, he turned his gaze skyward. The fight was still raging at the dome's ceiling, two titans of aura clashing.
But Odin knew better.
,Separating his mental body and fighting with it to fool the authorities. That's so Midoriya. Using techniques most masters can't even touch, for ruses. Even at my level I can't manage that. Not yet. Not even the manifestation part is possible for me,'
'Truly, he and Sensei are in a league of their own in aura manipulation' Odin thought, before shouting:
"Dragon! I'm done here. We're leaving!"
His voice carried, loud enough for the combatants to hear. Both paused mid-clash.
Midoriya stood atop his emerald Eastern dragon. Dragon himself floated above his smoky black and green wyvern. Glancing down, Dragon saw the scene unfold below.
Turning to his opponent, he bowed.
"My apologies, professor. Seems I've outstayed my welcome. I must bid you farewell. But I do hope we continue this conversation someday."
Before Joker could respond, Dragon merged into his wyvern and vanished into mist.
"He vanished?" one student called out.
"And the bastard forgot to take me along," Odin muttered, clearly annoyed. "Doesn't matter, I'll go myself."
With that, he summoned the Bifröst beneath him, vanishing in a swirl of rainbow light, leaving U.A. with a half-victory.
Three students passed out. No major injuries. Multiple thugs captured. The League and the Eight Rings? Gone. Escaped through spatial movement.
