I composed myself to meet Tiana. As I entered the space, which was a vast hall adorned with numerous mirrors and a piano, I spotted her.
I could never deny the grace of that woman; she was seated at the piano, her long hair cascading down her back as she played.
However, as soon as I stepped inside, she turned to look at me and rose to her feet. I walked in with Zara right behind me, and I noticed her maid standing close by as well.
"You're late!" she snapped at me, and I scoffed. I knew I had to confront her about everything; she didn't need to bully me into submission just to boost her self-esteem.
She was a proud woman I knew that.
"You wouldn't expect me to arrive in ten minutes when I had to freshen up, not to mention the several flights of stairs I had to navigate to get here," I replied, and I could see her scoff as she approached me until she was standing directly in front of me.
