After 15 minutes of waiting, we began to see a large shadow creating over the horizon along with flags and banners waving in the wind above it.
The sight of it was like a tsunami that could sweep the whole village and everyone living in its all together.
Below us, I could see the village guard trembling. All too aware of what they're about to face and its inevitable outcomes.
There was no envoy negotiating for surrender or an ultimatum. The illager were here to pillage and most likely burn this town to the ground.
Soon a horn blared in the distance marking the start of the chaos.
Like last time, the illagers attacked in waves rather than attack as a whole. I don't know if this is tactics is strategic or due to the world mechanics to match the game.
As the first wave approaches within 400 or so meters, we began opening fire on the group. Although everyone now had infinite ammo enchantment, we still carefully aim and pick our shots placement.
In less than 2 minutes, the first waves was completely annihilated. That doesn't mean that the first wave was small on number, rather instead it was nearly triple in size compare to when I first fought the first wave last time.
This time the first wave could be equivalent to the fourth wave in terms of numbers. As the dust settles from the collective trampling of the earth, lying against the ground laid a pile of bodies all riddled with holes in each and everyone of them.
Blood could be seen spiling out from their upper torso to their head. On both side, the illager and villager stare in shock unsured of what had happen and how the charging group had suddenly get decimated.
Thinking it was a fluke or a one time unknown circumstance, the illagers array sounded their horn again signaling another wave to charge.
This time among the waves was some special mobs like ravagers, witches, and several evoker. Also among them was a group of heavily armored knight with iron sword.
"Look like they're going in hard for this one."
As the second waves approaches, we began opening fire on the masses once more and by the time they reached the areas where the first wave had fallen.
All that was left were scattered body littering the battlefield between the village and the illagers army.
Soon more horns blared and the processeses repeated itself. By the end, I saw an illagers dressed in flashy armor and what appears to be a crown on top of his head rallying the rest of his army.
Before long a collection of horns sounded signal the entire army to move in.
Although the last several waves was numerous and large in numbers, it didn't match the amount that was approaching us.
Its great in having infinite ammo in Minecraft and it's even better to have it enchanted on guns. It gives us a sense of being invincible and dominance in a fight.
Is it broken? of course, its pretty much bringing a gun to a sword fight. Hitting the enemies from afar with great lethality, while the enemies could do nothing about it and simply suffer under the storm of bullets.
As the army charged the village with fervor in there eyes, the gun once more sounded their rhythmic tunes, sending their deadly whisper against their enemies.
Soon bodies began to collapse one after another, still charging at the village. Before long they passed the area where the previous attempted attack waves had fallen but they still carried on.
As great as guns with infinite ammor are, they're still an individually target weapons and doesn't have much in terms of AOE damage. Against an oncoming mass of bodies, they could only do so much.
Before long, the illagers had manage to reach the wall but we're un able to breach the gate. The villager had closed the gate beforehand hoping it would by them some times.
Although the wall were now hiding the illagers and providing them covers, they were still thin enough for us to shoot through.
Instead of the wall being built out of 1 meter cube block, they're more of to keep out small unwanted intruder and the undead from easily getting to the village.
After constantly firing, we could feel that our weapons was getting hotter and hotter. Realizing that this could get dangerous if our gun melted and explode.
I had they girls slow down and shoot any illagers that's trying to climb the wall and get through. As for me, I headed for them village we'll grabbing several buckets of water.
Sticking my barrel in the water, I letter it cooldown while I brought the water to the other girls to do the same.
Soon we would began shooting at the constant pace again. If some one weapons was running too hot, they would then switched out with the person that had just finishing cooling down.
As the sun sets and night arrived, another third party soon joined the chaotic battlefield.
Zombies and skeletons were starting to crawl out of the ground and attack anyone outside of the wall.
This caused the illagers to frantically attack faster soon breaking down the gate once more.
Before they could rush in and breakthrough, they subsequently stop and crushed by the village 2 golems.
The guard on the other hand was still keeping a distance but they would also fires narrowed using the crossbow they had captured from the last raid.
The battle dragged into the nights with gunfire and explosion from creeper echoing in the distance.
At some point, a creeper manage to blow several holes in the wall, when attacking a group of pillagers.
This in turn open up more entrances for the illagers and mobs to once more rushes in. Soon the street and alley of the village was once more in chaos.
The girls and I had regrouped ourselves and continue to shoot back holding our position. Did we feel a little regret for bringing troubles to the village? A little.
But as long as the villager were still hiding in there home and barricaded themselves, it should be fine.
It's best to keep the information that we attract bad omens to the village a secret. It's also best to let the villagers to simply think of this as an ill fated coincidence.
As the battle continue throughout the streets, I decided that I shpuld repeat the tactic I had done last time.
I lead the girls to the car and soon we started a rampage throughout the village running drive by against the illagers and mobs.
The village defender, having learned from last time manage to regroup into a small defensible position and hold off the invader. They also did a lot better with their new armor and equipments and had yet to lose anyone. At most some village guard was only injured in area that wasn't protected by the armor.
The chaos continued throughout the night with no sign of ending any time soon.
