Chapter 99 - Chapter 99: Before Wakanda, the Demon Hulk Returns from Hell

RUMBLE!

As more than twenty massive war rhinos thundered forward, the ground itself trembled.

"Invader—die!"

At the front, Okoye, golden rings around her neck, leveled her vibranium spear and roared.

"Wakanda!"

"Forever!"

Behind her, the border tribe warriors followed close, clad in blue armor, spears raised, surging like a tide toward Hawk.

Expressionless, Hawk watched them come—a flood meant to drown him.

Then he moved.

No flashy technique. No unnecessary flourish.

He didn't even have a Cloth yet. Techniques like Phoenix's "Wings Rise from Ashes"? Still beyond reach.

But soon… perhaps soon.

His step cracked the ground, right arm a blur, faster than sound itself.

To the eye, it was one punch.

FLASH SPEED FIST!

BOOM!

The air split with a blinding sonic blast. A funnel-shaped shockwave ripped outward.

The first to fall was Okoye—her face caved in, her head bursting like a melon, her body collapsing headless from the saddle.

The rhino beneath her met the same fate, its skull pierced clean through.

Behind them, row upon row of Wakandan warriors were shredded in the storm of blows.

The aftermath was carnage.

Limbs scattered. Blood pooled into streams, flowing downhill.

Hawk lowered his fist, watching the slaughter without a flicker of hesitation.

"If Flash Speed Fist does this much…" he murmured, "what about Phoenix's Wings?"

The thought almost made him smile.

It was the most satisfying fight he'd ever had.

For once, no restraint. No doubt. No hesitation.

Only battle.

He turned then, eyes falling on the golden dome shielding Wakanda's true city.

The last barrier.

He stepped forward, vanishing just as the river of blood reached Bruce Banner's body lying cold in the trench.

The blood soaked him, thickening, darkening—until it became black as ink. Banner's heart, once still, twitched.

THUMP.

Meanwhile, Hawk reappeared before the golden shield and struck.

DUANG!

Ripples spread across the barrier, only to fade, restoring calm.

He narrowed his eyes.

"Flash Speed Fist!"

DUANG! DUANG! DUANG!

Wave after wave spread across the golden dome, absorbed without effect.

"Vibranium… energy shield?" Hawk hissed.

Extravagant. Utterly extravagant.

Vibranium spears, vibranium shields—now even their energy barrier was powered by it.

Inside Wakanda's command chamber, King T'Chaka, clad in the Black Panther suit, watched the live feed grimly.

"His identity?"

"Found it."

Princess Shuri's fingers flew across her console, pulling up S.H.I.E.L.D.'s sealed records—Quanticot Massacre footage flashing above.

One punch breaking tanks.

One punch toppling towers.

One foot crushing General Ross.

"The data's thorough," she muttered, frowning, "but it makes no sense. Eighteen years old? And this strength?"

"His energy signature… unknown."

She shook her head. Science couldn't explain him.

Then—alarms blared.

Shuri's eyes widened at the new readings.

"Energy spike detected at the merchant tribe ruins. Strong… still rising!"

She compared the pattern.

"Hulk?" she whispered. Then corrected herself. "No… not Hulk, but close. Very close."

She switched the feed.

Onscreen—blood, bodies, and suddenly—

A black colossus.

The Hulk. But wrong.

A black Hulk.

ROAR!

The soul-rending bellow shook the earth.

"HULK!"

Outside, Hawk's sixth sense flared—he vanished instantly.

BOOM!

The Demon Hulk slammed down where Hawk had stood, like a black meteor hurled from Hell.

The ground split like shattered glass. Mud and blood rained upward.

The thing rose from the crater, massive and grotesque, muscles bulging like mountains, each breath a gale, eyes burning like a devil's.

"Well, damn," Hawk muttered, genuinely shocked. "Not just Hulk… Demon Hulk. Back from the dead."

Even with his senses wide open, he hadn't seen it coming. Not until his sixth sense screamed.

This Hulk was stronger. Terrifyingly so.

The Demon Hulk locked eyes with him. Memories flashed—Hawk drowning the "regular" Hulk. Rage surged hotter.

ROAR!

The monster's heel slammed the earth, the ground breaking like dry bread. The black mountain charged, a battering ram of pure destruction.

Hawk's pupils shrank.

But he did not retreat.
