Chapter 98 - Chapter 98: The Evil Saint Seiya Arrives at the Gates

Bruce Banner parked the jeep in front of Hawk, stepped out, and closed the door behind him.

Hawk, just finishing his last punch, looked calmly at the man now standing before him.

At the gate of the Wakandan village, tribesmen gathered, exchanging uneasy glances at the scene unfolding.

Their eyes met.

Hawk broke the silence first.

"Doctor Banner."

"Hawk."

Banner looked composed, no anger, no madness—just calm. He even smiled faintly, as though greeting an old acquaintance. His gaze drifted around the landscape.

"This place… the view is beautiful."

Beautiful enough to be a final resting place, he added in his mind.

Though Wakanda looked poor and desolate to the outside world, its surroundings were indeed pristine: grasslands, lakes, forests untouched by modern industry. A rare natural paradise.

Hawk caught the hidden meaning in his words and chuckled.

"I thought you'd given up."

"I had."

"Then why change your mind?"

"Betty left me a message."

"Oh." Hawk nodded knowingly, then shrugged. "You could have waited until I came back to New York."

Banner shook his head.

"Not New York."

"Why?"

"Too many people. If we fought there… what if another Hulk appeared?"

"Hah." Hawk laughed once, then let his smile fade. He looked Banner in the eyes.

"So here?"

"Here."

"Fine." Hawk's lips curved into a faint smile.

The next instant—

BOOM!

Hawk vanished, only to reappear where Banner had stood. Banner's body, bent like a cooked shrimp, shot backward like a cannonball.

CRASH!

THUD!

BOOM!

He plowed through the earth, gouging a trench fifty meters long before lying still in the dirt.

When the dust cleared, Banner lay motionless, lifeless.

Dead.

Hawk stood in place, face blank, staring at the corpse in the distance. If Banner sought death, he would not stop him. He would grant it.

But time ticked on. Banner's body cooled. Still, no Hulk emerged.

Hawk frowned. Did I misjudge him?

Was he really just here to die?

Strange.

No matter. Vibranium came first.

Turning away, Hawk's eyes shifted toward the Wakandan village. Above the tents, alarm bells rang out.

Dozens of Wakandans stood ready, spears in hand, led by the elder from yesterday.

"It's seven o'clock," Hawk said evenly. "Vibranium."

He tossed his phone into the jeep, rolled up his sleeves, and strode forward, his calm voice carrying across the clearing.

He stopped five meters from the elder, eyes like blades.

"Hand it over."

"Never!" the elder barked, slamming his staff into the ground.

CLANG!

The ornate stick shimmered, transforming into a metal spear.

Behind him, the others followed suit, their wooden spears reshaping into gleaming vibranium weapons.

The elder struck the ground again.

"Wakanda!"

"Forever!"

Their war cry thundered like an earthquake.

Then, the elder charged, spear aimed at Hawk's chest, with thirty warriors at his back.

Like a herd of enraged boars.

Hawk chuckled. Good. Let God be my witness— they attacked first.

He bent slightly, lips curling.

BOOM!

The sonic boom cracked the air as Hawk vanished.

The elder's body tore apart in midair, reduced to bare bones before his followers' eyes. The shockwave blasted the rest into the air, scattering them across the ground.

THUD-THUD-THUD!

They fell like dumplings into boiling water, but quickly regrouped, clutching their spears.

One cried out, staring at the skeletal remains.

"Lunn!"

"Lunn is dead," Hawk said coldly. "Your choice."

The survivors roared in unison.

"Never!"

"Wakanda forever!"

"Kill!"

They charged again, spears raised.

Hawk said nothing. He drew back his right fist.

Then—

FLASH SPEED FIST!

WHOOM!

In an instant, 345 blows exploded forth, fist-shadows filling the air.

When the last echo faded, silence fell.

No warriors remained standing.

Only blood. Broken bodies strewn across the grass.

But their vibranium spears remained intact, glinting in the morning sun.

Hawk picked one up, tested its strength with both hands, but without burning his cosmos, the weapon did not bend.

"As expected of vibranium."

He tossed it aside, then vanished again in a burst of sonic thunder.

The blood on the grass flowed toward Banner's corpse in the distance.

Hawk reappeared before the hidden gates of Wakanda.

This time, soldiers stood ready—clad in blue armor, vibranium spears in hand.

In front were more than twenty warriors riding massive rhino-like beasts, towering and snorting uneasily.

At their head was a bald woman, neck adorned with golden rings: Okoye, commander of the Border Tribe, Wakanda's first true line of defense.

She raised her spear, pointing it at Hawk.

"Wakanda!"

"Forever!"

"Charge!"
