Chapter 12: Stranger.

As he got up and headed towards the window to leave again, towards his next target, giving only a light glance at the girl who was just waking up as she held her head and was looking at him.

Without giving the girl a second glance he jumped down and ran towards the sewers, entering the sewers again, the nauseating smell of the drainage calmed his racing heart because of everything that had happened and done up there.

Although it was not more than twenty minutes, those were things he had never done, especially cutting off a person's hand.

After a while, leaning against the wall, he got going again, he started heading towards his next targets, he had to finish at least four more today, although he was already done with the hardest one of the night the next ones were going to be small groups and some dealers.

The rest of the night was going to be easier, although he didn't know the guys or their movement patterns, since he wasn't an expert in that either, it's not like they gave any private course on how to stalk someone, there weren't as many of them as before.

"There's nothing to worry about anymore, I'm done with the difficult part, the rest that follows will be much easier." Getting going, Eiden didn't slow down and headed towards his next objective.

Walking through the streets of New York, with a relaxed step as the sunlight fell on his body. He was wearing different clothes, since the other one smelled horrible. When he came out of the sewers he looked for a clothing store and stole a pair, of course he left a little money that he had taken from the guys he had beaten. Hours ago he had finished off the rest of the gangs that he had set out to eliminate, now he was walking through the streets of the big city, not only to clear his head, but to see if he saw anything interesting, to see if he could find the hiding place of one of the big gangs that existed, inNew York.

He had already verified what his new strength was capable of, although he had not taken it to the limit of his strength, there was no need. What he needed most would be to learn to fight correctly and find a way to digest the potion more quickly.

Although Eiden would have preferred to have obtained the seer's sequence, since it would be easier for him to digest it to advance to the next sequence, because he had basically read how Klein did it and he just had to follow in his footsteps or take part of what he did and try to do it himself.

But it didn't matter, the hunter's sequence has a powerful frontal combat power, if he remembered correctly, it is almost one of the most powerful in frontal combat.

But it won't be that difficult for him either, since he knows the method of action, acting would be almost necessary to digest the potion in the quickest and most effective way. And to digest the hunter's potion, as the name suggests, is to act like a hunter. What he did today could be considered acting like a hunter even if it was in such an inexperienced way.

Because since he obtained the sequence, he had had a strange compulsion that he had to start hunting as quickly as possible, the feeling was almost nonexistent as if he were under the influence of some drug.

He somehow knew why this was happening, but he couldn't remember it, he tried to concentrate on what he was forgetting, but in the end he gave up, put it aside and didn't pay any more attention to it. Now that he already felt that sensation of moving to hit something, he could think easier, but this time he was not trying to remember, since doing so made him have a bad feeling, so he put all that aside and focused on other things.

So he did not hesitate, he held on as long as he could, he made his preparations as quickly as he could and acted under his own power. Before he was struck down by that strange compulsion he had been having.

Leaving that topic aside, he focused on how to digest the potion. Digesting the first sequence will not be very difficult, even better since there were no other beyonders here to monitor him or any church.

The Hunter's Potion grants Eiden excellent tracking ability, exceptional trap-setting ability, and almost instinctive hunting ability. Furthermore his physical condition has improved considerably thanks to the potion, including recovery, even after recently running what could be considered several tens of kilometers back and forth he did not feel physically worn out, he was completely fit.

But there was another thing that had been bothering him, it was his skills, I could still see the blue screen showing his skills and there were some things that had happened that appeared in my skills displayed.

According to the blue screen he should have the strength of a bear and the agility of a cat, saying that it is slightly equivalent to the combination of both creatures.

I have agility but the problem is strength, the strength I have acquired is much greater than that of a bear. Yesterday I didn't have to climb.

I just grabbed the edge and I was on the roof. I think that would be a normal thing to consume when becoming a beyonder, but the problem is that I didn't feel like I was making the slightest bit of effort.

It was so easy that it baffles me a little. I think it's because of iron man's ability, my body was wide and had some muscles, so I can't be sure.

I didn't pay much attention to the changes that occurred to my body when I took the potion, but I know they weren't many, but when I received the man of steel ability, it was different, the changes were notable.

My senses had not changed or improved, at least not that I realized it, but I had felt that my strength was increasing.

Besides the fact that my body had become a little thinner, it wasn't a tremendous change but it wasn't very difficult for me to realize that.

While I was getting some clothes at a thrift store, I looked at myself more carefully and they were more defined, more marked.

But something about that seemed strange to him, it's as if he was given the skills in a specific order in which it would benefit him the most.

But it also seemed the strangest of the two he had obtained, because its description only had a few words about what it was for. The other line of words didn't say much more, about the skill itself.

Besides the fact that she was the only one who had a noticeable change in her body, with her other ability she hadn't felt any change at least not that she could see.

But he could be almost sure that it was the only one of the two abilities it gave him, an albeit weak mental protection if he could interpret it that way.

The other only said that he had more resistance to stress, which was not bad either, since by becoming a beyonder he would be more susceptible to stress and could even be fatal, making him lose control of his sequence.

"Baam."

"Aaaah, damn, be more careful kid, don't you see where you're going or what."

"Oh, sorry."

"I was lost in my thoughts and I wasn't careful where I walked." Eiden apologized without thinking much since it was his fault.

Being lost in his thoughts, Eiden wasn't paying attention to where he was walking and ended up colliding with someone, who was leaving a coffee shop with his coffee in hand.

"Haaa, okay."

"So good, I had some guilt for being distracted like that-."

"Birrrp."

Before the man with graying brown hair and blue eyes could finish speaking, he received a call and without another word he left and got into his car and drove away.

Watching the man leave, Eiden didn't give it any more thought and also went his own way.

"Mr. Masters, your presence is requested as you have been tasked with leading the bureau's investigation into mutant activities."

"Mutants, where mutant activity was confirmed." He said feeling a headache coming on.

"It hasn't been confirmed yet, Mr. Masters, but based on the descriptions of the victims, it is almost certain that they are."

"Victims, did he try to murder someone or did he just lose control of his powers?" He asked with a questioning tone as he continued driving.

"Well it doesn't matter, just tell me where I have to go."

"Hell's kitchen, sir masters."

I don't know if anyone might wonder about the previous chapter in the part about the dog and why I put it in, some might think it's just to lengthen the story a little but I assure you that I'm not doing it for that reason.

Well that's all for today, goodbye.
