Chapter 1 - Worthless existence

An inigmatic character trails through the woods with confidence and determination. He comes to a clearing just as the dazzling gleam of meteors streak the night sky.

"The heaven's tears are falling. And that means..." He draws a sword with inscriptions all over it's blade as dark cloak like creatures step out of the shadows. " The night crawlers are on the hunt".

" HEY! Thief stop!!" A masked figure dashes through the crowd, his mask is half a smiley face and half a dark shade of black. He makes a leap on to higher ground dodging his pursuers. Or so he thought. Just as he pauses, wondering whether his existence will ever have meaning, a tall figure of a Female holds a knife to his throat saying,

" Don't! Move! Inigma!" In reference to the mask figure. He retorts,

"Well, well, to what do I owe this visit captain Leisha Magnus of the town guard?"

" You stole something, a precious artifact of ours." The inigma claims to have stolen alot of things asking for her to be specific she describes a flower shaped pendant known only to their worlds unique biology. The inigma was visibly disturbed at her description. He laughed taking out the pendant with a proud demeanour, saying "oh! This tiny thing, come, who would care for such a worthless item." The captain was visibly annoyed. Flipping her dagger, she grabbed the handle with authority and said,

"Divine arms, KALIOS!, RISE!!" As those words came from her mouth a force erupted and a small dagger extended into a long sword exuding a cyan coloured aura. She pointed the long sword at the inigma as if signaling a challenge. The inigma, smug as ever lept down and stuck the landing in a crouched position. He then ominously said,

" Shall we dance captain, you may take the lead". Before he even finished his taunt, he found answord too close for contact. He dodged, sliding beside the lateral axis of the sword. The captain pulled back and swung with a basic skill of her divine arms, RAZOR. The attack was fast and yet the inigma ducked backwards saying in a mocking tone, "woah girl!" As he lunged back and smiled behind his already smiley faced mask. The captain was annoyed even more exclaiming not to be messed with. The inigma retorted saying that he was actually serious. He the notice something in his pocket was glowing as his attention drew to it, the captain suddenly said,

"It can't be?!!!" As if knowing what was about to happen. The pendant was glowing blood red with a subtle pink hue intertwined. The inigma staired at the pendant in awe until there was a sudden regret. The pendant lached unto his left wrist and a katana appeared from thin air in his right. An ominous aura appeared to ooze from his being and a side of his mask cracked. The aura seemed to take over as he started to dart zombishly towards the captain much to her dismay. But in a split second, he regained his consciousness and screamed in fear.

" Holy shit!!! What the heck is this! Get it off! Get it off! Get it off!". While saying this he shook his left wrist until the pendant flew off his wrist but to his shock he suddenly blacked out from the energy loss.

The inigma opens his eyes to a dark and mirky place he attempts to stand but finds it impossible. He's chained up. The next sound he hears is the voice of a lady. " Aah! You're awake, master" the lady's voice carried such assurance that the inigma lifted his eyes in shock, claiming that he had never seen her before and that he was no one's master. The lady scoffed and stepped in the light revealing her regal clothing not fitting a prisoner and her mismatched eyes. The only words that mustered courage to come from the inigma's mouth were, " those eyes" the lady retorted that he bonded with her and yet had no memory of her. The inigma was confused and uttered the word "bonded?" in confusion. That was when it hit him.

" You're that pendant that lached unto my wrist back there!!", However, the girl did not allow the inigma to finish and she began to vanish, waving goodbye and signalling the arrival of visitors.

The dungeon cell opened and a tall and lanky fellow in rusted armor and bags under his eyes announced that the inigma's prosecutors were here for his sentence. While in more mobile chains, the inigma simply accepted fate that he was going to die. A large gate flung open as the guard threw the inigma before a group of distinguished aristocrats, with one of them seated on a wood carved seat. The hall fell silent, allowing the seated aristocrat's scoffing and mockery to sting with intense annoyance.

"So! This thing stole the family heirloom?!, Pathetic"

"Look at my face you worthless trash, you stole something that has value to me and my family and as such, I see death as a small price to pay for atonement".

With that, a sudden stab went through the inigma's chest. The aristocrat's aura was one of sheer ,darkness that, to the inigma he was faced with a monster. He felt utterly weak before him. His body bled out as the aristocrat muttered a distinct farewell. "Goodbye, Hajime!!". Those words stuck with the inigma as he questioned in a dying tone,

" H~how did he k-know my..."
