In the valley, Hajime is faced with a hybrid abyssal.
He mutters to himself. " This is just awesome. On my first assignment and I encounter a beast of legends. This monster is well known."
Five years ago, a group of Adventurers were sent to scout the inner parts of the Ambrosia Woods. They encountered something monstrous. A beast so powerful,It tore almost all of them to shreds. They sacrificed their lives so their leader could deliver the information to the guild. According to the party leader, the monster was an abyssal, but one of intense power. The beast had the body of a basilisk and yet, could wield powers likened to high ranked abyssal. Adventurers joined hands with the Town Guard to try and stop the monster before it was too late. However, it all went to vanity. Only a hand full of the warriors escaped with certain injuries that day. People took to naming the beast, [ the dark basilisk].
Hajime couldn't believe his misfortune.
Deciding to fight anyway, he charged up his mana and decided to have some fun with his opponent first. Activating his Sky walker skill, he prepares to test the limits of a level twelve soul devourer.
[ Sky Walker]: a spacial type skill that enables the administrator to walk on disks of hardened mana.
Hajime circled the basilisk and had an idea. Deactivating Sky Walker, he darted from tree to tree to attempting a surprise attack on the snake. Finally having closed in, he dealt a strong strike.
He named the attack, Destruction Strike. Although the attack hit the mark, he realized that it left no scratches. Leaping off it's head, he smiled nervously. The height of the jump was intense and he slid back several meters upon landing.
He decided to be more serious about his attacks. He activated mana manipulation. With a slight gesture, sharp extensions of darkness wrapped around his hands and took the shape of beast claws.
" I'm about to tear off those scales of yours."
He took a rugged battle stance, and suddenly vanished from sheer speed. Reappearing right in the snakes face, he struck it's forehead with both claws, managing to finally make dent. The dent was not as large as he expected. The snake gave him no time to recover, twisting to strike him hard with it's tail.
He managed to put up his guard in time, creating a mana shield. The strike sent him so far back, he smashed against a tree trunk, smashing it in the process. Mustering scraps of strength, he stood up and coughed a torrent of blood. Wiping his lip, he summoned Lily's mist form and asked.
" What's that ultimate move you were talking about earlier?". Lily immediately refused, worried about hermaster's safety.
Hajime retorted;
"we're about to die anyway, why not take our chances with death and life."
Lily caved finally, and told him the method to initiate the Petal Scattering Blade's ultimate blaze.
" The ultimate blaze of this form is known as " The Blossoming Of Demons". Once active, you enter a deeper depth of our bond. At such a depth of mental oneness, our power is doubled. But , the price from it is grave."
She asked Hajime to focus on his inner soul. She asked him to focus on drawing power from his mind. Once he did so, the bond deepened. In synchrony, they both called forth the name of the ultimate blaze.
"THE BLOSSOMING OF DEMONS!!!". A shift in the atmosphere could be felt. Hajime's face was slowly covered with a dark mist. His eyes, now reminescent of a night crawler. At the tips of the dark mist, a brilliant shade of magenta was visible.
From behind the dark covering, Hajime spoke to Lily. He felt a power he had not experienced before. To him, it was excilerating. He decided to end the battle, with one last strike. Resheathing his blade, he took a charging stance. He moved quickly to close the distance. However, the basilisk was not about to loose. It smashed it's tail on the ground, and spikes protruded from bare earth. Leaping high, he used the spikes as stepping stones to elevate his body. Mid air, he used sky walker to remain in the sky. He then dived off and came barrelling towards the snake. With a swift strike,he split the beast's head and ended the battle.
A system notification appeared;
[ The administrator has successfully completed the hidden quest known as, Might of The Darkness]
Rewards:

- all stats evolve by one level.
- New Title: Conquerer of Darkness: administrator gains double stat boosts upon the slaying a dark type monster.

Specifics: the administrator now has the ability to tame any dark type or ghoul type monster he defeats. Success is based on situation and circumstances.
Hajime decided to head back after celebrating his victory. However, Lily stopped him, since he was too weakened to make the long trip, especially at night, when the monsters are most active.
She asked him to follow her and that she had a place to stay for the night.
After hours of walking, they finally made it to a clearing. Hajime was furious, stating how they had no camping supplies and as such, could not stay in the forest.
Lily however, simply asked that he stretch out his hand towards the empty space. Doing so he felt a force, soft and gelatinous. It was a concealment spell. Lily granted him access to enter and he was absorbed by the field. Upon entering, he saw a beautiful garden with several types of flowers and a mansion. Spirits moved in all directions in the garden. With a slight gesture, Lily returned to her human form and said with a bow, "welcome to the Vampire Garden, Master Hajime."
