Needless to say, those three undead students had thrown themselves at her as soon as they saw her, and it also went without saying that she ran away to avoid being caught by those disgusting things.
But she knew she couldn't run aimlessly, who knows if there were more of those things out there, so she did the safest thing, she went back to where she started, back to the infirmary.
As soon as she arrived, she had to lean against the door because those "things" were pushing the door because they wanted to get in. She had to move a stretcher against the door so that it would finally stop moving. She collapsed on the floor, exhausted from what she had just experienced.
After a few moments the noises and the struggle became weaker and weaker, reaching the point where they could no longer be heard, even so the young woman was devastated by what had happened to her.
"How did those people smell rotten?"
"Why was his skin slightly green?"
"Why did they look like they were dead in life?"
"Were they even human? Or did they become something else?"
The young woman with light blue hair had several questions running through her head and no answers, but she was sure of one thing: those "undead" people wanted to devour her like she had devoured those chips a little while ago, like a starving person.
She wasn't going to allow that. After all, she didn't want to die. She wanted to survive, even if she had to fight hundreds of those things. But to do that, she had to get out of this school, which seemed to be teeming with them.
She walked slowly towards the window in the infirmary and when she looked outside, she saw that there were also several of these undead on the streets, and she realized that she was on the second floor of the school. She hesitated for a moment whether she should leave now in the middle of the night or wait until tomorrow morning. After thinking about it, she realized that it was better to leave early tomorrow morning, maybe in the morning there wouldn't be so many of those creatures.
And as soon as he heard several screams and gunshots coming from the streets, he felt that the decision he made was the right one.
However, even if he left tomorrow he still needed to find some weapon to defend himself, so with these thoughts in mind he began searching inside the infirmary.
This time I look around the infirmary better in case there was something useful to defend against those abominations, maybe something to kill the undead.
I searched the shelves, but there were only medicines, antiseptics, various bandages and gauze.
There wasn't a single weapon to defend himself against those things, he even saw a camping backpack but didn't find a single knife or anything sharp.
Why the hell would he open a camping backpack in the infirmary? That's something I wanted to ask the school nurse.
When she was about to give up on her search, she found a medium first aid kit, and when she opened it she was delighted to see that there were surgical scissors, those small scissors made her happy.
Because even if it was small, if it aimed precisely at the head of an undead, it would undoubtedly leave it more dead, he just hoped not to encounter several of those abominations at once.
She took the scissors out of the first aid kit and put the kit inside the camping backpack along with some medications such as: painkillers, antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and in case she had an allergic reaction she also packed antihistamines.
I also take some antiseptics to disinfect wounds such as: Povidone Iodine and Alcohol
And even though there was already gauze and bandages in the first aid kit, she grabbed even more of those things.
After packing her backpack she saw through the window that the sun was already rising, it seemed like dawn had arrived, but she was now tired, so she lay down on one of the stretchers and fell asleep.
It was already morning when the young woman with light blue hair woke up excited and breathing heavily, she had just had a very strange dream, after a few seconds she finally calmed her breathing and realized that she was all sweaty, but that didn't matter to her, what was important to her was the content of her dream.
In the dream she was in a classroom, she was dressed in a very different uniform than the one she wore now and she was accompanied by another girl, apparently they had free time since that girl was talking to her and there was not a single teacher in sight.
This unknown girl was telling him about a novel she had recently read, the novel was titled "A Love Worth Killing For", which sounded like a great title for a novel, this novel was rated "+18" as it was not suitable for all audiences, the unknown girl in her dream told her what this novel was like.
The novel followed the life of a teenager, who tried to survive in an apocalyptic world, the world where the protagonist lived was infested with the living dead, better known as zombies, and thus causing millions of deaths.
But the real "+18" content isn't due to the deaths caused by the zombie apocalypse, the "+18" is due to the extremely detailed deaths caused by the male protagonists due to their unhealthy obsession with the female protagonist.
In short, the novel is about the survival of the female protagonist in a world full of zombies with her own storage space that she obtained thanks to a bracelet she obtained at the beginning of the apocalypse and with her awakening of "Healing" type power, as the plot progressed she formed her own harem of yanderes.
Without forgetting that the protagonist is not the only one to awaken superpowers but several survivors and among them the male protagonists, and of course the protagonist's powers were stronger than any other, or at least they become the most powerful as the novel progresses.
The young woman clutched her head at such information, not knowing why she had that dream of a girl telling a summary of a novel. She felt like she knew the stranger and spoke to her with such familiarity in the dream, as if they were lifelong friends.
He didn't understand what was happening, or why he had dreamed that, he didn't even remember the face of the stranger, it was as if it were blurry, which made him unable to recognize her, but what he did remember was that the stranger had shown him an image from her cell phone of the protagonist of the novel.
"Rina Maeda"
The image was seen clearly and sharply, in it there was a young woman wearing a school uniform with long hair and bangs as dark as night, with large, watery hazel eyes.
The young woman with light blue hair shook her head trying to get the image out of her mind. She still didn't understand why she had dreamed about that. She was beginning to believe that maybe it wasn't just a dream, but that she was starting to remember.
But... Why did she only remember one conversation about a novel? She still didn't know exactly, but she had a vague idea that it was because of what she had just experienced with those monsters now known as zombies.
Maybe living through last night's experience triggered something related to it, like the stupid plot of a novel, but thanks to it I knew the weakness of these zombies.
You had to aim for the head
So with that in mind, she got up from the stretcher, stretched a little trying to get over her drowsiness, grabbed the surgical scissors that were on a table and began to remove the stretcher that was leaning against the door very carefully without wanting to make a noise that would attract unwanted attention, when she finally succeeded, she opened the door just a little and stuck her head out to see if those disgusting zombies were still hanging around, since there was no one in the hallway she decided to go out again with only a surgical scissors as a weapon of defense.
The young woman walked stealthily down the hallway, afraid of making the slightest noise and attracting the attention of those abominations. She stopped when she was about to turn down another hallway. She stopped because she heard growls and stuck her head out to see if she found any danger, and she did. In the hallway where she was heading, there were four zombies roaming the area.
He was about to back up and go down another hallway when he saw one of the zombies holding a knife in his hand.
Now he had two options, he could turn back avoiding those zombies or he could try to fight them, maybe if he was very lucky he would beat the four zombies and get a better defense weapon than this scissors he had in his hand.
Obviously she went for the second option since it looked more tempting, she needed something more than just scissors to defend herself against those zombies, although of course in the worst case she would die torn to pieces or become one of them.
Puffff...small inconveniences that I preferred not to think about
So he takes a breath and a lot of courage and turns down the hallway where the zombies were, he begins to walk slowly without making the slightest noise to avoid alarming the zombies but he fails.
One of the zombies lunged at her as soon as it noticed her presence, the young woman waited for the zombie to get close enough to stab the scissors into its forehead with all her strength.
The zombie fell dead
But before she could even breathe, another zombie attacked her, the girl stuck the scissors into the zombie's temple, leaving the second zombie dead.
However, before she could rejoice, the other zombies also began to advance in her direction, the one with light blue hair was about to attack again but she encountered a problem, the scissors were stuck buried in the skull of the zombie she had just killed.
Now that's how she was finished....
But she didn't give up despite her desperation, while she continued trying to unnail the scissors from the zombie's body she kicked the zombie closest to her making him fall on the floor, who turned out to be the zombie who had a knife in his hands and when she kicked him she made him drop the knife not far from her.
The young woman was about to go for the knife when another zombie lunged at her, knocking her to the ground, and from behind the zombie she had knocked down stood up, the young woman in her desperation tried to push the zombie away from her while she stretched out her other hand to reach the knife.
The young woman stretched her arms as far as her limbs would allow, she was only missing about three centimeters...two...one... she had achieved it
She quickly stabbed the knife between the eyes of the zombie that was pressuring her and threw him aside when he stopped moving, just in time since the last zombie had launched himself at her, suffering the same fate as his other zombie companions.
Once he had finally finished off the zombies, he went back to the zombie that had his scissors stuck in him. After some effort, he was able to remove them and wipe them on the zombie's clothes to put them in one of the pockets of his backpack.
Now with a knife in hand, the young woman had much more confidence in herself and decided to check the rooms in that hallway to see if she found anything useful. There were four rooms in total, two rooms on each side of the hallway.
In the first classroom, he had found two more zombies inside this classroom, which he easily got rid of. Inside, he found several backpacks on the students' seats and there were blood stains on the walls. Everything indicated that these "zombies" had invaded them during class.
She inspected all the backpacks in the classroom and found five nutrition bars, a small bottle of water, and several school supplies.
The young woman sat down on one of the chairs to eat a nutrition bar and drink half of the water from the bottle for breakfast.
Probably for a normal person that wouldn't fill their stomach, but for her it was enough, and it was for one thing that it was enough, the water she drank seemed to have some effect on her.
He no longer felt fatigue, nor tiredness, even his hunger was satisfied with only water, it was so strange
When he finishes his breakfast, he puts the remaining four nutrition bars and the water bottle in his backpack.
After that, she left the first classroom to go to the second classroom, in this classroom there were several canvases to paint, some with sketches already made and others blank, there were also sculptures displayed in plain sight, everything in this classroom screamed that it was the art club, and I confirmed it when I saw a zombie with a brush in his hand while carelessly scratching a blank canvas painting it a dark red.
She didn't know if what the zombie was painting with was actually paint or something else, and she didn't intend to find out, so she sneaked up on him with her knife in hand and stabbed him in the back of the zombie's head.
The zombie fell dead
The young woman searched around the room, unlike the first room, this time she found nothing useful except a long, thick rope, while she hesitated whether to take the rope or not, several screams asking for help were heard.
She went to the classroom window and looked down at the schoolyard to see if the cries for help were coming from there, but there was no one there, and when she was ready to go back to her own business, that's when she heard them.
— Hey! This way! Help! — a girl's voice was heard from above, the one with light blue hair unconsciously directed her gaze upwards, however, she had to close her eyes due to the intense exposure to sunlight — Help! The zombies want to get in where we are, and my friend is hurt! Please! —
The light blue haired girl put her hand around her eyes to protect herself from the sunlight that shone brightly in the sky, once she did that she could make out the figure of the screaming girl, which scared her a lot.
She recognized her because she was identical to the girl in the photo she dreamed about, who was said to be the female protagonist of a novel.
