Chapter Sixteen: Chaotic World 2
"We will fight all terrorists, whether they are in the U.S., Europe, or Asia.
We will make the whole world safe."
The passionate words of Benjamin Asher, the President of the United States, with his bruised face and dusty clothes, awakened the dormant courage of the American people, who deep in their hearts were ready for war. His speech also delighted the investors and arms companies even more.
The U.S. and other formerly colonial powers, under the pretext of fighting terrorists, deployed large military forces into Middle Eastern countries—first Afghanistan, then Iraq. These operations triggered a chain reaction across the Middle East, imposing a suffocating atmosphere until Russia and the UK intervened.
This fight against terrorism escalated into an all-out war, turning the entire Middle East into a battlefield for these major powers.
Countries like Iran and Israel also began covert operations under various pretexts.
Many terrorist groups emerged from the war-torn areas, becoming fuel for this massive fire.
Every day, new clashes occurred—between coalition forces and terrorists, among the terrorist groups themselves, or between armies—creating true chaos and disorder.
Yet in this muddy water, some cast their nets and caught fat fish. This chaos was a fast track to multiply the wealth of global capitalists.
In this struggle, while some fought and some profited, the ones who suffered the most were innocent civilians—children and women—but no one paid attention to these victims. Everyone was focused on their own interests. No one.
For a year and a half, this chaos persisted in this part of the world, while in another corner, people prepared for the Christmas celebration.
Three days before Christmas 2004, William had carried out numerous missions involving assassination, protection, and combat in war zones. His skills earned him recognition among elite covert agents.
William's intelligence, speed, power, and striking appearance earned him the nickname "White-forehead Bull" in this region, and he adopted the code name ZAL.
William sat by the fireplace with a book in hand, reading. At his feet lay a large, beautiful white wolf, occasionally glancing at him and letting out cold growls to tease him.
Beta had grown from a cute little pup into an intelligent, mature wolf.
According to Merlin, two-year-old Beta could understand information and human language like a ten-year-old child. Beta could even form words using English letters. He was exceptionally smart.
William had promised Beta that this Christmas he would take him to Siberia to play and hunt freely. But the day before, an important mission was assigned to William, so this year he could not bring Beta to his homeland.
Beta was furious with him. If he could speak, he would have shouted:
"Humans are completely unreliable!"
Yet he loved William dearly, as William was his only family and friend, and they shared the same fur color.
This mission was to rescue and return two British and American scientists who had been captured in Iraq by Iranian mercenaries, attempting to transport them to Iran. These scientists held highly sensitive information on nuclear weapons.
For this reason, William was waiting to depart for Iraq tonight. He would carry out this operation with a U.S. covert agent.
