After that Levin roamed around the village for a while to see things every stall has to offer but nothing was imperresive for a short time there was nothing that catched his eyes but then he saw a merchant selling something he called a "soul core" that caught his attention and went staright to him and asked about the round crystal he was selling the merchant looked at Levin for a while but before he could say anything Levin spoked first " what is this you are selling i have seen many of these things but i have no idea what these are " upon hearing Levin , the merchant thought that what was this kid talking about, has he lost his mind or is he making fun of me ,Levin saw the confusion on his face and said "i have lived all my life in forest so i don't know about these things so will you tell me the details about this".
At first the merchant sighed and then said " this thing is called a soul core which comes out from the monsters after killing them and is a very valuable to the awakeneds and it helps them get stronger " when he said that levin was confused beacuse he doesn't know what awakened was so right now he needed information about the world , Levin took out a Gold coin and gave it to the merchant and said " tell me everything about the awakeneds , what is happening in the world right now and and the use of this soul core".Upon seeing the gold coin he said" it will take some time so let's go somewhere quiet".
After that the both of them made their way towards the inn upon entering Levin saw many people armed with weapons like swords, daggers, and spears but didn't pay any mind to and the both of them sat down at the nearest table and ordered som food and after that the merchant said " After the sky split open 8 years ago the people who can used superpowers like controlling 'fire', 'water' ,'wind' etc were called as awakened , there are also some people who have tge power to heal others they can even attached yours limbs together if you were injured, there are also others scorceres, alchemists,blacksmiths each one of them has their own unique power and to grow stronger they need to absorb these soul cores which we extract from the monsters and as for alchemists and blacksmiths some parts of the monsters body are very important in making various 'elixirs' and forging 'swords', right now everything is control by the organization named "order".
Order is an organization that was formed after the first catalysim happened ,First catalysim, means when the monsters came and the awakeneds fought them . The order controls everything related to monsters,awakeneds or artifacts found in the ruins . The 'order' wants to nake sure that no awakened individually become so powerful that it may become a threat later the people who tries to rebel they killed them and then labelled them as criminals , on the front they are the organization who upholds justice but inside they don't want anyone to become a threat to them so before they become powerful enough they kill them.The second strongest person in the world is the head of "order" so no one can say anything even if they wanted to.
Levin was sitting alone in the inn and was thinking about what the merchant had told him"there are 10 powerful house's in the world who have the control over soul cores, artifacts, elixirs , they all have occupied almost everything but upfront on the order and the Holy sanctuary are the one's who does all the work , the merchant also said that there is something aside from soul core which can make you grow strong it's called "runes" he said only the people of 10 families have this knowledge and he has a friend who work for one of them told him about this that the runes can help u awaken a new " element" which will be a huge bonus for levin if he gets but the merchant said that the 'order' has placed their people in almost every town or village that if one awakens they take them and they ask him to show what kind of power or element he has awakened and after examining they force him to join one of the 10 families so that they can add another pawn to their collection.These families have creatwd an army of their own with over 1000 awakeneds in each of them, he also mentioned about other races that some of them have blend in with humans and most of them have gone and have settled themselves elsewhere with there people.
Levin was so mad when he heard that the the people of the other dimension are living comfortably and no one has tried to hold them accountable and even if they did hokd them accountable for what they did they should not be allowed to live with them that was something Levin couldn't accept.
