~~THE WEDDING~~
"Get her!" Caesar bellowed at his guards, his anger raging.
"Get who, boss?" One of them dared to ask, puzzled.
They wondered why Caesar wanted them to apprehend Georgia, especially since the two had been at odds. Besides, they feared approaching Georgia, knowing her influential family and her profession as a lawyer. They respected her family ties, particularly since her parents were close friends with Caesar's.
"Are you seriously asking me that dumb question? I said get that woman over there!" Caesar thundered. Instantly, his phone rang, and he pulled it out to see who was calling.
A broad smile spread across his face when he saw Cindy, his girlfriend, on the caller ID.
"Like you knew I needed to hear your sweet voice to calm my heart," He said, plugging in his ear pod before answering.
"Baby..." Cindy's voice came through the line, stretching the word.
"How are you, baby?" Caesar asked, his tone revealing his happiness to hear from her.
"I'm not too fine, because you're not here," Cindy pouted, though Caesar couldn't see her.
"I know, baby. I've missed you too, even more. I can't wait for you to come back," Caesar replied. He began walking back to the car, his guards following closely.
"Well, guess what?!" Cindy exclaimed, her voice piercing Caesar's ears.
"Um, what? Just tell me," Caesar chuckled, sitting down after the car door opened for him. "Back to the theatre," he told his driver, who nodded and started the ignition.
"I'm coming back this weekend," Cindy announced, sounding thrilled.
"Oh my gawd! Are you kidding?" Caesar asked excitedly, but the thought of his impending wedding to Georgia flashed through his mind, and he winced.
He bit his lip hard, remembering he hadn't told Cindy yet. The arranged marriage might be fake, but Cindy still needed to know.
He feared telling her, knowing she'd be hurt. He had been aware of the arranged marriage for a while but continued dating Cindy anyway. He was doing this for the sake of his company, nothing more.
"I can't wait to have you back, baby," he managed to say. They spoke briefly before ending the call.
"Damn! What do I do now? This is crazy. How will she feel when she finds out?" Caesar thought, contemplating his situation. "It's a fake marriage, after all. And Cindy knows how much I love her; I'll never leave her for another woman." He continued ruminating until they arrived at the theatre.
"He's finally back. Get back in place," someone whispered.
"Everyone, let's get this done. There's no time," the Director said, clapping his hands to get everyone's attention.
They all settled down, and the shooting began immediately.
~ I wish I got the role of being his girlfriend; it would be the best thing ever.
~ Swears. I wish I could be given that role to play someday.
I don't know why they keep giving her that role to play, like she's the only one who deserves it.
~ I bet I can even play it better than her.
Some of the members started talking, getting jealous of the girl playing Caesar's girlfriend.
"And 1...2...3, action!" The director said, clicking the slate board, and everywhere fell silent like a graveyard. Only Caesar and the girl were talking.
[ PROVINCIAL COURT OF JUSTICE ]
"Hey, you were awesome back there" Aco-lawyer said to Georgia. Her name is Linda, and she's more like a friend to Georgia. They just finished a case and were taking a break.
"Thanks, my learned friend," Georgia smiled beautifully. Her friend smiled back lovingly.
"Where were you, by the way? You were almost late," she suddenly asked.
"It's a long story," Georgia replied, laughing inwardly after remembering what happened at the Jewelry store.
"Long story, huh? That's by the way; let's go eat something before time elapses," she said to Georgia.
"Smokes! I thought you weren't going to say that," Georgia said, laughing.
"Wait, I thought you brought lunch. What happened to it?" She raised her brow, asking.
"Same one that has now become poop? I ate it a long time ago. You seriously didn't expect me to still have it when my tummy kept asking me for food," Georgia said funnily, laughing more.
[ CAESAR'S MANSION * EVENING ]
"Good evening, ma'am," the workers greeted in respect as Caesar's mom, Brenda, walked past them. She answered them all, then finally walked into the living room.
The ones cleaning in the living room started greeting her too, and she replied warmly.
"Mom...? You didn't tell me you were coming," Caesar, who sat on the gold designated sofa with his leg crossed, asked.
"I had no idea I now need a special invitation before coming to see you. By the way, is that how they now greet people in your theatre?" Brenda scowled, plopping her butt down on the sofa.
"Good evening, Mom. So, why are you here?" He asked coldly.
"Can you just stop talking? You're wasting the oxygen that would be useful to others," Brenda half yelled, and Caesar grunted.
Some maids started laughing lowly at Brenda's statement about Caesar wasting oxygen.
"How are the wedding preparations going? I hope you've gotten everything needed?" She enquired, staring into her phone, expecting a message from an interior decorator in charge of the wedding designs.
"What wedding?" Caesar blurted out senselessly, pretending not to know what his mom was talking about.
"Are you crazy...?" Brenda stretched the word 'crazy' which sounded funny.
"I'm still in the early stage, Mom. I'll reach the final stage when that bitch comes to live under the same roof with me. And about the wedding preparations, I haven't even bought a suit for the darn wedding," He blurted again, and Brenda widened her eyes with raised brows, not believing Caesar at all.
"Are you kidding me right now? What do you intend to wear to your wedding tomorrow, your boxers?" Brenda shouted, and Caesar scoffed.
"Can we stop talking about this already?" Claire, get my mom a cup of juice or something" Caesar said, turning to Claire instead.
"You're truly in your early stage of madness. But before you reach the final stage, let's go shopping. And you dare not argue with me," Brenda threatened, holding Caesar's hand and trying to drag him out.
"Your father should be doing this, not me stressing myself," she said, still pulling Caesar along.
"Then just let me go and let Dad come do his job," Caesar protested.
"Just shut it, Caesar. Shut up and come with me. It's not me you want to disgrace tomorrow. And I hope you've told that silly gold digger girlfriend of yours about your wedding, because I never want to see those spaghetti legs of hers near you ever again," Brenda yelled.
[ THE SINGTO'S GLAM HOUSE ]
Georgia's eyes widened in shock when she walked into the house and found her best friend, Monique, sitting comfortably on the couch.
"Monique...? Smokes! Can't believe you're here! When did you come back without telling me?" Georgia exclaimed with excitement.
Monique quickly got up and grabbed her friend into a tight hug.
"Gosh, you have no idea how much I've missed you and your craziness!" She pouted, hugging her again.
They broke away and started laughing.
"Help me take this to my room, please," Georgia said to a maid, handing over her things before she turned to face her bestie again.
"How are you, Best Friend?" Monique asked, staring at Georgia, who looked more beautiful than she had three weeks ago.
"I'm as good as freshly baked bread," Georgia smiled with her one-sided dimple, making her look even more beautiful.
"I can see that, Best Friend," Monique replied, smiling too.
They started chatting and laughing, then paused and laughed out loud.
"You know I had to come down here because of your wedding. And I heard you haven't even bought your wedding dress yet. Jeez! Are you crazy?" Monique reprimanded, and Georgia scoffed, making funny faces to mimic her friend.
"Even you too? How did you even know about that when you haven't been in town?" Georgia asked outrageously.
"Mom and Alvira told me. Trust me, sis. They completely sold you out; it's just the money left to be paid when the owner comes to take you," Alvara blurted out funnily, walking in to join them.
"Who else would I have thought of if not them?" Georgia shook her head.
"Let's go to your room so you can freshen up. We're going to get your dress and everything needed for your wedding tomorrow," Monique said, holding Georgia's hand as they headed upstairs.
"What kind of wedding takes place without a bridal shower?" Monique shouted disappointedly.
"Don't be surprised when you don't see me there, because I might decide not to go," Georgia squealed, with Monique still holding her hand tight.
They finally reached Georgia's room door. She opened it, and her eyes widened again in shock.
"Holy smokes! What the hell are Alvira's things doing in my room?" She screamed, rushing in to get a closer look.
"She said the room is hers now, since you're going to be living with your husband from tomorrow," Alvara answered.
"Ugh! What the hell? Alvira....!!!" Georgia screamed, rushing to Alvira's room.
On seeing Georgia coming towards her, Alvira ran into her room and slammed the door shut.
"I swear, Alvira. Your boyfriend will never recognize you again by the time I'm done with you!" Georgia threatened, knocking on the door hard.
"Sorry to disappoint you, Gi Gi. I don't even have a boyfriend, duh!" Alvira screamed from inside, bursting into a loud laugh.
Monique and Alvara burst out laughing too. Even Georgia didn't know when she started laughing.
It had always been like this â Georgia and Alvira always fighting, despite their age difference. Fighting and arguing was just their way of expressing sibling love.
[ SACRED HEART OF JESUS CATHEDRAL * NEXT DAY ]
A crowd of people filled the church, eagerly waiting for the ceremony to start.
Parents of the bride and groom looked expensively beautiful, adorned with gold rings and necklaces.
Alvira and Alvara weren't left out, but Alvira still dressed like a boy, seated at a corner with her leg crossed like a guy, operating on her phone.
"Put your legs down, Alvira. You're in church," Alvara half yelled, gently pushing her leg down.
"My darling friend, you look extra dashing as always. I had to look at you over and over again," Marisa complimented Brenda, who blushed away.
"Thank you, my friend. Your makeup is topnotch. I think you should give me the contact of whoever made you up. This is too beautiful; I must say," Brenda returned the compliment, stretching her hand to wipe a dirt off Marisa's top.
Mr. Singto and Mr. Ruslee were seated on the same chair, discussing probably business or just talking about the great day.
Everyone was seated with happy grins on their faces, but the owners of the day were nowhere to be found. Georgia and Caesar were not yet in church!
"Where in the world did they go to?" Marisa stood up, asking, glancing around and checking everywhere but still didn't see any of them.
"Hey! Where the hell is your friend?" Brenda turned to Caesar's friend and asked.
"I honestly do not know where he is," Kyrian replied, throwing his hands up.
"What, aren't you his best friend? You're supposed to know his whereabouts," Brenda snapped.
Kyrian took his phone and dialed Caesar again, but Caesar wasn't taking his calls.
"Caesar, I told you that you cannot disgrace me, never," Brenda mumbled within, shaking her head vehemently.
Meanwhile, the Singtos were also wondering where Georgia might be.
[ FEW MINUTES LATER ]
"Now, let us invoke God's blessing upon this bride and groom, that in his kindness, he may favor with help those whom he has bestowed the sacrament of holy matrimony. In his sight and these witnesses gathered here, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss!" The priest announced.
Georgia and Caesar turned to look at each other disgustedly. Wait! Nobody told them they'd be kissing. Eish!
"There won't be any need for that, Padre. We've already kissed in advance; that's actually why we came late," Georgia blurted out crazily.
"Huh?" Everyone curved their lips, as they never saw that coming. Caesar wasn't left behind.
"Kissed in advance," Alvira muffled and almost burst out laughing loud, but Alvara was quick to close her mouth with her palm.
The priest remained totally speechless, staring at the two in shock.
[ BANGKOK CITY ]
"Ahhh!" Cindy screamed when she saw something on Twitter. She just walked out of the kitchen with a plate of food while going through her Twitter account when she stumbled upon a post. It's the news about Caesar and Georgia's wedding. The plate she held fell off her hand and shattered instantly, with the food staining everywhere.
"What happened?" Her friend rushed in, asking. Cindy couldn't say anything; she just showed her friend the post.
"What?! Caesar just got married to another woman?" She asked, shockingly, collecting the phone from Cindy.
~ THE POPULAR AND TALENTED ACTOR, CAESAR RUSLEE, JUST GOT MARRIED TO THE YOUNG AND BRILLIANT BARRISTER, GEORGIA SINGTO ~
The caption read.
~ But what happened to Ms. Cindy? We never heard they broke up. ~
Men will always be men. She began to read all the comments, her mouth in agape, as she read more.
"This is a joke, right? It's just a rumor; Caesar can't do this to me!" Cindy whimpered, sitting heavily on the cold floor.
"Calm down, Cindy. This definitely has to be a joke," Jade shook her head, trying to console her friend.
"Just one month of being away, and he's married?" She cried. She got up from the floor swiftly and ran into her room.
"What are you doing?" Jade asked, wondering why she went to get her laptop.
"Booking a flight; I am going back to Chiang Mai today!" She answered, wiping her tears away.
[ AT THE RECEPTION ]
"Trust me, Caesar. Even a tortoise would look cuter in a suit; you look like a rejected sacrifice," Georgia blasted Caesar.
They were both sitting down, almost close to each other, because Caesar put a demarcation between them.
"And you think you look good in that? You look like my great grandmother in the 20's," Caesar fired back.
Hearing that, Georgia picked one of the already cut cakes and threw it on his face, and it stuck right on his nose.
"Now you really look like a rejected sacrifice," Georgia laughed hard.
"The hell! Have you lost it? Shit! What the hell is wrong with you? Can't you just stay in your lane and let me the hell be? " Caesar shot, got off his seat, and left there immediately.
Georgia looked at him till she could not see him again.
"Jerk!" She muttered, chuckling.
"Congratulations, darling," Brenda walked to Georgia and placed a hand on her shoulder, smiling.
"Thank you, ma," Georgia smiled back.
"Caesar is a very stubborn person; just let me know when he starts giving you too much trouble," She said and pecked Georgia.
She chuckled and nodded her head.
"I'll also let you know when I'm done with him, and he's ready to be taken to the morgue," Georgia mumbled and smirked.
****
"What the hell are you doing here? This is a restroom for 'gents'; can't you read?" Caesar shouted at Alvira, who just barged into the restroom.
"So, with all these dressings, I don't look like a guy, huh?" Alvira rolled her eyes, scoffing.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Caesar asked again, ignoring what she said, and Alvira smirked knowingly.
"I'm here to show you a sample of what I'll do to you if you mess with my sister," She said, instantly bringing out a rope from her pants that had many pockets.
She started walking towards Caesar, who was left totally confused.
"What do you think you're doing, you maniac!" Caesar barked, moving backwards with a big frown of confusion.
"I actually wanted it to be a surprise. But since you've asked, I'll tell you," Alvira let out a knowing smile.
"I'm gonna tie you up like a goat till you beg and make a promise." she said, and Caesar's eyes widened.
"Wh...what?! Help!!" Caesar screamed, walking backwards.
