"Big brother Alvi, you don't have to persuade me. My learning here will only be over when I subdue a half moon rabbit and make it my contract beast. Only then will I be able to use the spells Master taught me completely," Emma said with a serious look on her face.
"Just say where we can find it, I will help you catch as many rabbits as you want," William said casually when he heard Emma's words.
Alvin and Lilly looked at William strangely, as though he had said something absurd.
"What?", William asked with a frown when he saw Alvin's stare.
"Cough… Sir William, Demon Sealing Mountain is a forbidden land. Here, no matter what your cultivation level outside is, the highest cultivation level you can have is just at the first stage of Ascension Realm," Alvin said hesitantly.
William's frown deepened, "I already know this, even then handling some beasts at the same level is not a difficult task for a warrior like me."
Alvin shook his head with a wry smile on his face, "You don't understand the terror of beasts here. They are true descendants of the sacred beasts born from the power of the Great Demon King. There is simply no comparison between them and the beasts you face outside Demon Sealing Mountain."
William's mouth curled into a mocking grin, "Kid, you feel this way only because you haven't seen truly powerful warriors. Just show me the place where these so called rabbits are and leave the rest to me."
Just when Alvin was about to reply, Lilly cut him off, "Alvin, you will be going to the Devil Swamp in a few days, right?"
Alvin nodded with a bad premonition in his heart.
"Great, take Sir William and Emma with you. With you around I will be rest assured of their safety," Lilly said with her usual smile.
"No…", Alvin rejected immediately, "I am not even at the first level of Mortal Realm. How do you even expect me to face off those crazy monkeys alongside two more people by my side?"
"You are confident enough to walk out of that place alone, right?", Lilly asked calmly.
Alvin nodded reluctantly.
"Then, it is decided. In three days you three along with Elder Alderea will go to the Devil Swamp and help Emma catch a half moon rabbit ," Lilly said decisively.
"Great elder, you don't have to trouble some random teenager with our safety. I am capable of protecting my niece on my own," William said with a sneer on his face.
The smile on Lilly's face gradually faded and she said calmly, "Emma is my student, so it is natural for me as her master to worry about her safety. I hope Sir William doesn't mind."
"Tsk… old woman, I already said we don't need any protection from your tribe," William slammed his hand on the table intending to stand up.
But before he could , the temperature of the whole room dropped to a freezing point. Ghostly figures which seemed to be an illusionary hybrid between a tree and a human appeared around the room, filling the whole room in an eerie atmosphere.
From the sheer pressure in the room, William fell on the floor unable to even stand up.
Alvin's face changed when he saw this. Without wasting any time he rushed past William and stood before Emma, who was shivering in fright at the side.
"Chaos resonance," Alvin muttered in a low voice and the next second, his purple eyes changed to a deep ruby red color and red lightning arcs began crackling wildly around him.
With a cold look on his face , Alvin lifted his foot and stomped hard on the ground.
"Boom"
Suddenly red lightning created a domain around Emma and Alvin, neutralizing the pressure completely. Even the ghost treants who were howling until now seemed to have frozen in fear when they saw the red lightning crackling around Alvin and Emma.
"This should be enough… return," Lilly mumbled to herself when she saw this and all the ghost treeants vanished from the room as though they had never existed.
Lilly put one leg over the other and stared at William who was struggling to stand up from the floor with a passive expression on her face, "When I roamed the land of Celestia as Ghost Empress, even your great grandfather would have to bow before me, much less a snotty brat like you who is still wet behind the ears…"
Lilly then looked towards Alvin whose eyes were now ruby red in color and said, "Alvin has dual soul, his second soul is a pure chaos type soul at the peak of Mortal Realm. In the entire tribe, only he can hold on equal ground with me…"
She then fixed her eyes on William coldly, "Do you still think I am sending some random teenager from my tribe for your protection?"
William's face turned pale in fear when he met Lilly's eyes, "Please, forgive my insolence senior," he said as he stood up stutteringly.
Lilly waved her hands nonchalantly, "Forget it, in my eyes you are just a baby. If I hold a grudge against you for such a small matter, others will laugh at me."
Alvin's eyes also slowly turned back to purple color and his aura dropped from the peak of Mortal Realm to that of a normal person. The lightning arcs around him also vanished.
Emma peeked her head from behind Alvin and said in a complaining manner, "Uncle, I already said not to be rude to Master or you will be beaten up for nothing. Are you happy now that you embarrassed me in front of big brother Alvi?"
William's face turned red in embarrassment and he glared at Alvin angrily.
Alvin was at a loss of words, this middle aged man seemed to glare at him no matter what happened.
"Master, I will be going then. It will be great if you can ask Grandpa John to accompany us , if anything happens, with his spatial element at least we can escape in time," Alvin said after some thought as he bowed to Lilly once again.
Lilly nodded, "I will talk to Andrea about that."
Alvin returned a nod and left Lilly's house.
"Senior, who is he?", William asked some time after Alvin left the house.
"My seventh disciple, Alvin," Lilly replied.
William remained silent for some time and asked, "Pure chaos type soul, usually such a soul will appear only in members of three families, Everharts, Dragonians or the Nyxborns."
"Well you saw his purple eyes, right? That alone is proof enough that he is a member of my tribe. As for his second soul being a pure chaos type, that's just a coincidence," Lilly said calmly.
William frowned, but he didn't ask any further since Lilly didn't seem to want to talk more about this topic.
