They had already walked indoors; as soon as Maeve Lane came in, she met Summer Ainsworth's gaze.
Her eyes flickered, and she guiltily looked away.
Maeve found it strange, but didn't think much of it.
"...But at that moment I saw you, it felt like heaven was telling me, just as I was about to give up," Sarah Sutton switched to a mature tone, mimicking: "Seeing how hard you've been working, I'll give you a great gift, a perfect period for your career."
Maeve was amused, her eyes curved in a smile, "Am I really that good?"
Sarah leaned on her shoulder, laughing, "Of course, look, heaven rewards those who work hard. We've finally gotten a play, and I have a feeling, 'Rivers and Mountains as Usual' will be the official start of your acting career. In the end, we will ride the waves to the top and meet at the peak!"
Her voice wasn't deliberately lowered; Summer and her assistant Lewis, Agent Gibbs, and some of the crew members were all in the room.
