"A gate that connects two entire worlds…"

Naruto slowly withdrew his consciousness, but the shock still lingered in his blue eyes.

From touching the Gate of Worlds, he learned the truth: when the Devil Fruit crossed dimensions, it created a subtle link between the Shinobi World and the Pirate World. And because of the special nature of the Door-Door Fruit, he alone could open that gate.

That massive ocean-blue gate inside his mind was the very embodiment of this connection—the link to the Pirate World.

"As expected of a concept-level Devil Fruit… opening air doors, stone doors, wooden doors is one thing… but even the Gate of Worlds itself!?"

Excitement boiled inside Naruto. His fists clenched unconsciously.

Compared to the Shinobi World, he far preferred the freedom of the Pirate World. At least there, no one would hurl stones at him for existing.

Besides, in that world, "monsters" were everywhere.

Giants, Fishmen, Minks, Longarm Tribe, Dwarves… he'd be just another normal kid among them.

And in a place where villains ran rampant and only strength mattered, as long as he grew powerful, he could carve out a place of his own. Worst case, he could even join the Navy—at least then, he wouldn't have to fear for his safety.

The more he thought about it, the more his heart pounded with anticipation. He immediately returned to his inner space, reaching out once again to push the Gate of Worlds open.

But it didn't budge.

The colossal blue gate of seawater was as immovable as a mountain.

"No good. With my current strength—or rather, with my current chakra—I can't open a gate that spans two worlds…"

Frustration gnawed at him, but Naruto calmed down.

After all, the Devil Fruit had fused with his bloodline like a Kekkei Genkai. Even if he had no chakra, he could still activate it—though at tremendous cost to his body.

Just now, when he pushed, he did feel the gate tremble slightly.

That meant it wasn't impossible. He just didn't have enough chakra yet.

"Fine… I'll endure for now." Naruto grit his teeth and forced himself to close his eyes again. He needed more chakra. Enough to leave this hellish village.

The next morning.

The golden-haired boy opened his eyes, fatigue swimming in the depths of his blue pupils. He had spent the entire night refining chakra.

"My body feels… drained…"

His stomach ached from hunger, and every muscle felt like lead.

Refining chakra for too long strained him terribly. Spiritually, he could handle it—but his underdeveloped five-year-old body couldn't.

Without nutrition, his growth would be stunted. If he pushed too far, he might even die on the spot.

Naruto thought bitterly of the original timeline.

The Naruto in the anime—shortest in class, even shorter than Sakura at graduation. Not because he was destined to be small, but because of years of malnutrition and constant chakra refinement.

"Not me. I'm done eating garbage food." His eyes flashed coldly as he felt the fresh chakra within him.

After one night, he had quite a stockpile built up.

"Alright then…"

Naruto gathered chakra into his palm, placed it against the wall, and muttered:

"Stone Door!"

Creak—!

The old, solid wall rippled and formed a heavy stone door half a meter thick.

Naruto's eyes gleamed. Opening it consumed less than one-twentieth of his chakra.

That meant he could now create more than twenty doors in one go.

"Wooden Door!"

"Revolving Door!"

"Sliding Door!"

"Folding Door!"

"Invisible Door!"

One after another, doors appeared around him, each with different shapes and mechanisms. His shabby little room was transformed into something like a magical furniture shop.

Naruto was ecstatic, imagining all the combat uses these variations could have.

Finally, with half his chakra left, he tried once more.

Pressing into thin air, he called out:

"Air Door!"

A translucent doorway appeared.

This time, Naruto stepped through.

Inside, it felt like a subspace—different from Kamui's void, but similar. From here, he could see the outside world, as though through glass, while his body became intangible.

He could walk through walls. Through people. Through anything.

"So this is what it must feel like for Uchiha Obito when he goes intangible…" Naruto smirked faintly as he walked the streets unseen.

Passing villagers didn't glare at him. They didn't see him at all. For the first time, he moved freely through Konoha.

On the way, he spotted familiar figures:

Anko, buying dango.

Chōji and his father, feasting at a yakiniku shop.

Might Guy, balancing a massive log on his back while running upside down and shouting about youth.

All of them, completely unaware of the blond boy drifting past just meters away.

Eventually, Naruto entered a store, ignoring the shopkeeper at the front. In a quiet corner, he pressed his palm against the air.

"Air Door."

Creak!

A small thirty-centimeter door opened. Too tiny for him to pass through—but that wasn't the point.

Naruto reached through with his hand, grinning wickedly as he swept food from the shelves into his hidden space.
