Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Pirate’s Oath

The morning sun spilled across the deck of the Gokai Galleon, the great pirate ship soaring through the skies of another world. Nyara sat on the railing, her legs swinging like a child's, gazing out at the endless clouds. Her helmet lay beside her, silver ears catching the light.

For the first time in weeks, she wasn't fighting. Yet, the quiet gnawed at her.

"Your tail's twitching again," came a calm voice behind her.

She turned. **Daido Katsumi—Kamen Rider Eternal—**stood with arms crossed, his coat fluttering in the wind. His eyes, sharp and unreadable, studied her like a commander watching a soldier.

"I don't have a tail," she pouted, hugging her knees.

"You might as well."

Their exchange was cut short by a loud, familiar voice.

"Oi, freeloaders! Breakfast's ready, so eat before Ahim eats it all!"

It was Captain Marvelous, the fiery leader of the Gokaigers. Behind him, the rest of his crew gathered—Ahim smiling politely, Luka scolding Doc, and Joe silently sharpening his blade. Even Navi, the robotic parrot, fluttered about excitedly.

For the first time since arriving here, Nyara smiled. These strange pirates had welcomed her, despite her claws and scars.

Training with Pirates

Life aboard the Galleon was unlike anything Nyara knew. The Gokaigers weren't just warriors—they were a family. They trained together, argued, teased, but always had each other's backs.

Joe sparred with Eternal almost daily. Their duels were fierce, blade against blade, both men silent but deadly in their strikes. Nyara watched with awe—and frustration—because Joe refused to train her until she "learned discipline."

Instead, Luka took her under wing, teaching her agility, thievery tricks, and how to fight dirty.

"Rule number one," Luka smirked as she tripped Nyara flat on her face. "Win first, apologize later."

Nyara groaned. "But I don't want to fight dirty."

"Then you'll die clean," Luka shot back.

Eternal watched from afar, giving no comment. But when Nyara collapsed at night, bruised and sore, she sometimes thought she saw a faint shadow of approval in his eyes.

A Glimpse of Home

Despite the strange camaraderie, the weight of her world never left Nyara's heart. Every night, she dreamed of Nocturne—of Ignis, fighting alone.

One evening, Ahim found her curled up on the deck, staring at the stars.

"You miss your home," Ahim said softly, kneeling beside her.

Nyara nodded. "Ignis is still there. And the people… they need Riders. I can't stay here forever."

Ahim touched her hand gently. "Do not lose heart. The universe has many doors. If you and Eternal walked through one, then another must exist."

Those words lit a spark in her chest. She had to believe that.

The Enemy Across Worlds

But peace never lasts.

During a raid on a Zangyack outpost, Nyara and Eternal discovered something chilling. Among the stolen treasure was a feral crest, glowing with the same energy as the Feraloids from Nocturne.

Eternal's eyes narrowed. "They're here."

"Impossible," Joe muttered, examining the mark.

Marvelous clenched his jaw. "If these Feraloids can travel dimensions… then your world isn't the only one in danger."

Nyara's claws dug into her palms. They're chasing us… even here.

The Feraloids had found a way to infiltrate Sentai worlds. Which meant… if they weren't stopped, they could spread everywhere.

Pirate's Oath

That night, Marvelous called a meeting in the Galleon's hall. The crew gathered, and so did Eternal and Nyara.

Marvelous slammed his hand on the table. "These Feraloids of yours… they're like Zangyack. Parasites that take and destroy. If they've crossed into our world, then we're fighting the same war."

Joe crossed his arms. "Then we hunt them down. Simple."

Doc shivered. "N-not simple! These things could be in any world!"

Ahim looked at Nyara with kind eyes. "Which means we must protect hers too."

Finally, Marvelous grinned. "So what do you say, Riders? Want to form a pirate crew?"

Nyara blinked, then laughed nervously. "Me? A pirate? I don't even have an eyepatch!"

Luka snorted. "Don't tempt me. I'll get you one."

But Eternal spoke firmly.

"No. We're not pirates."

Everyone turned to him, but before they could protest, he added:

"We're Riders. But for now… our hunt is the same. If Feraloids are running across worlds, then we'll chase them. And when the time comes, we'll find the door back to ours."

Marvelous smirked. "Hah. That's good enough for me. Call it what you want—just don't slow us down."

He extended his hand across the table.

Nyara hesitated, then placed her clawed hand atop his. Eternal, after a moment of silence, followed.

One by one, the Gokaigers stacked their hands too.

Pirates and Riders. Different oaths, same fire.

"Then it's settled," Marvelous declared. "We'll fight as one. And when the time comes—we'll send you home."

The Hunt Begins

The next day, the Gokai Galleon sailed into the horizon, chasing rumors of Feraloid sightings in another dimension. Nyara stood at the bow, wind rushing through her hair, heart blazing with determination.

She clenched her fists.

Ignis… hold on. We're coming back. And we won't come alone.

Eternal joined her, silent, watching the skies.

For the first time, Nyara thought she saw something in his eyes—not coldness, not grief. But resolve.

Together, cat and ghost of flame set their sights on the stars.

The chase across worlds had begun.
