The morning sun of Arcadia cut sharply across the silk sheets of Scar's bed.
He groaned, blinking against the light, and pushed himself up. Before he could even get out of bed, the door clicked open, and Felicity stepped into the room.
She looked like she hadn't slept much—her hair was casually tied back, and the faint tiredness around her eyes betrayed the smile on her face.
"Good morning, Roy. Trust you had a splendid night?"
"Not even a little bit," Scar replied dryly. Then he looked up at her, and his lips curled into a teasing smirk. "But it looks like you had it worse."
Felicity sighed, leaning against the doorframe.
"Leaders don't take breaks. Not even at night. There's just too much work to do."
"Now that's just sad," Scar snickered.
Felicity smiled wryly. "Yeah, well, sucks to be me."
She crossed her arms, staring at Scar fondly.
"When I got back late last night, you were already asleep. I didn't get to ask how your day off with Xavier was?"
