Chapter 2 - JUST ANOTHER GUY PART 2

Legend: Cash Levels

Episode 2 – Money Talks, Secrets Keep

Opening Scene – The Wake Up

Legend woke up the next morning on Miles's couch, a blunt still half-burnt in the ashtray, his new Jordans on the floor like trophies.

His phone buzzed. The HUD flashed.

[BALANCE UPDATE]

• +$400 deposited.

• Current Balance: $3,000.

• Level: 4.

Legend rubbed his eyes, grinning. "Damn. Money while I sleep? I'm living the dream."

He scrolled Instagram — his strip club video was still getting likes. Comments flooded in:

• "Yo, Legend leveled up?"

• "Bum turned baller?"

• "Scam course link in bio, Legend?"

He laughed, muttering: "Keep guessing, hoes. Ain't nobody figuring me out."

Scene 1 – Miles Asks the Question

Miles stumbled out of his room, hair messy, phone in hand.

"Bro, lemme talk to you," he said, voice low.

Legend stretched. "What's good?"

Miles sat down, serious. "Listen… my mom been stressing. Rent, bills, groceries. You know how it is. I ain't gonna front, I'm short. Can you help me out?"

Legend didn't hesitate. He pulled out a stack and slapped $500 in Miles's hand.

Miles froze. "Bro… for real?"

Legend grinned. "No problem. You my brother. If I got it, you got it."

Miles stared at him like he was a stranger. "You really moving different now. Where this money coming from?"

Legend lit a blunt, blowing smoke in the air. "I told you. I'm good at keeping secrets."

Miles laughed nervously, counting the bills. "Damn. I ain't never seen you like this. Just don't get locked up, bro."

Legend smirked. "Only thing locked is my balance going up."

Scene 2 – New Clothes, New Clout

Legend hit SoHo later that day. He walked into a boutique he used to window-shop at, cash in pocket. The staff gave him the usual "broke kid" side-eye—until he threw a rack on the counter for sneakers and a jacket.

[LEVEL UP]

• Level: 5

• Hourly Passive Income: $500/hr

• Max Balance: $5,000

He strutted out the store, filming himself for IG. "New jacket, new me. Bums don't glow like this."

Followers jumped. Girls slid into his DMs.

Scene 3 – The Party

That night, Legend and Miles hit a college house party. Everyone was flexing cheap liquor and thrift fits. Legend pulled up with designer on and a fresh cut.

The room froze when he walked in.

"Yo, Legend came up?" someone whispered.

Legend grinned, pulling out a stack and buying shots for the whole party. Girls swarmed. Dudes got salty.

A rapper-wannabe on the aux cord tried to diss him: "Funny how the broke clown got cash overnight. Must be scammin'."

Legend smirked, sliding $200 into his pocket. "Don't worry about me, worry about them streams."

The whole party laughed. The rapper turned red.

By the end of the night, Legend was in the bathroom with a girl he'd been chasing all semester. It was messy, shameless, and hilarious—somebody even tried to open the door mid-act, and Legend yelled, "LEVELING UP IN HERE, CHILL!"

Scene 4 – The Secret Is Safe

Back at Miles's place, late night. Miles was half-drunk, staring at Legend.

"Bro… I don't get it. You broke yesterday. You buying bottles, sneakers, everything now. You gotta tell me what's going on."

Legend looked him dead in the eye. "Miles… you my brother. But I gotta keep this one to myself. Some things ain't safe if they get out."

Miles nodded slowly, biting his lip. "Aight… I respect that."

But in his head, jealousy sparked.

Legend saw it—he wasn't stupid. But he stayed calm. The secret was his. The power was his. Nobody was taking it.

Scene 5 – The Crew Comes Calling

The next morning, his phone buzzed. Unknown number.

"You made noise last night. We saw the warehouse job. We saw the club. You on the radar now."

Legend frowned. "Who is this?"

The reply came instantly: "Money Crew business. Meet us tonight. Don't be late."

Legend leaned back on the couch, smoking, grinning to himself.

"Level 5 and I'm already on the radar? Guess the game just started."

HUD Update (End of Episode 2)

• Level: 5

• Hourly Passive Income: $500/hr

• Max Balance: $5,000

• Current Balance: $3,200

Cliffhanger

That night, Legend and Miles stood outside a dark warehouse in Brooklyn. A black Escalade pulled up. Out stepped three figures, chains glowing faintly like they were alive.

The tallest one smirked. "Welcome, Legend. You thought money was just about flex? Nah. Money's war. And you just enlisted."

Legend exhaled smoke, calm as ever. "Good thing I'm good at keeping secrets."
