Within minutes, I was already dozing off, half asleep, half awake. Suddenly, I saw my spirit being pulled away, as if in a trance. I found myself in what seemed to be a plane's ground, with wobbly details. The walls were distant and blurry, expanding far beyond what the eye could see. Everywhere was silent and dark, eerie and silent. I could hear my own heartbeat pounding in rhythm with the plane as fear gripped me. My body began to shake as I looked around and felt an ominous premonition of coming danger. I was looking left to right when suddenly the wall of the plane cracked and two dark entities appeared.
One of the dark entities was tall and huge, about 10 meters high. Its face was like that of a pig, and its eyes were large, red, and filled with a hint of cunning. Its ugly, pointed nose and two long, curved teeth extended to each side of its mouth. The mouth resembled that of a wolf, with multiple sharp teeth, and a long, drooling tongue constantly licked its red, protruding lips. Its chest was as wide as a windshield, covered with sharp chest hair about the size of a nail, and it had a strong arm with sharp, pointed fingernails. It roared as it entered, its long black, pointy hair scattered around its head. I saw its monstrous, angry-looking eyes fixed on me as prey; the hair on my body stood on end as I shook in fear. I could see delight on its face as it fed on my fear. The lower part of both demons was obscured by fog, and I could only see their upper bodies, like the crack stop their descent.
The other was the same height as the first, with a face like a chimera of ape and toad. Its bright green eyes matched its toad-like skin, with spiky bars on its back. Its two arms were like those of a mighty ape—strong, muscular, and dangerous. One punch from it could cause an earthquake.
I fell on my weak knees, feeling hot liquid seep from my clothes. I couldn't tell if it was urine or sweat, but it was the only warmth I sensed in that cold, eerie atmosphere.
The demons with tarked understand, both raising their hands to strike me while I helplessly wait for their judgment. I had already given up; the thought of my wife and child losing me filled me with despair. I was helpless, sad, but unwilling. My long list of bookmarked novels and manga, places I wanted to visit, and people who would miss me all passed through my mind.
