The sky above was already dark because of the tentacle creature's power, but Gray's Abyssal energy ripped through it—clearing the clouds before slowly engulfing the heavens in an even more sinister darkness.
As the sky was devoured by Abyssal energy, the sun went into eclipse, and the entire area glowed with a crimson hue.
This phenomenon wasn't happening because Gray used the Sunless Sword Art—the one he had previously used against the masked man in the forest—but simply because he had drawn the Sunless Sword itself.
